Today purchased the full version. Luckily not the most expensive version as it is not as expected. It may have more items to choose but I cannot find the following functions as I used in another App: 1. Measuring tape is not found. 2. Not all items can use the keyboard to input size. Using a slider is difficult to exact. 3. Cannot fix specific item size, position, etc. 4. No balloon tips on the tools. 5. The wall once broken has no straight way to merge it again. 6. Cannot save a copy.
Reviews for Home Design 3D: Draw & Plan
← Back to Home Design 3D: Draw & PlanThis app has a lot of potential. But you cannot input the exact size of your rooms. Kind of crucial! It jumps from 13'4-15'7. I can't get anything in between. When I actually manage to get the dimensions right (after several minutes of trying), when I take my finger off, it moves and changes it. So frustrating.
I do not like this game AT ALL! It's very boring. It's more engineer type than decorating. And it makes you allow it to get into your photos, Media, and files or you can't play the game. The only reason I allowed it was so I could test the game. And why would I let it get into my personal files. This game is a waste of time and it is useless, unless you let it get into ur files. Unbelievable.
I'm not using this for any particular reason, just for fun. So I'm not too worried about it being precise...however, you are able to build and design homes completely from scratch using your own dimensions. You can upload your own textures and photos for design, as well. The camera views are a little strange and hard to get used to, and selecting and moving items can be a little hard sometimes, but overall, I got used to it. I have had a blast just building and designing.
Tried across three devices. Wouldn't open on two of them "Fatal Error Package Failed To Load storage path/emulated/etc". On a third device the app did load and it is absolutely not what it is marketed as. On top of that it is extremely buggy and doesn't work right. This shouldn't be on the marketplace. I thought they only allowed high quality apps. This is a cheaply thrown together scam app to take additional purchase.
The app seemed like a lot of fun at first. Then, my project dissapeared. I spent days on this project. Very upset that I paid for the option yo save. Update on my review: Tech support took a couple days to reach out but they have made an attempt to resolve the issue. I have learned to create a account to save work more thoroughly. Go to "share your work" and there will be a link to create an account. Very pleased to find this. Thank you.
I liked the app after purchasing and using it. It has been easy to use. But now, I am experiencing a problem. I couldn't launch the app any more. Everytime I attempted, it showed a fetal error message advising to reinstall. I sent email to technical support but have never responded so far. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app as per the message I get when I launch it. However, it has never worked again. I paid for the Gold version and no help from the developer and seller. Don't buy it.
I love this app. It's so easy to use. I wanted it to design my own tinyhouse blueprints to build my own. It's perfect for that. For those having trouble with the size jump, you can actually type in the specific size in the settings on the right hand side when you are clicked on any object or wall. You just have to play around with the app to find all the good settings. It is a paid app for saving or for extra stuff to use in your design, but they have a $5 just to save. Highly recommend.
Was thoroughly impressed with the game and it's complexity. Was a big fan of house flipper by frozen district(not the mobile game), but they've crapped on their customers so I dropped it and refuse to play it. This game is very straightforward and simple. You can wasit several hours just decorating away on your own houses. Or you can snag a demo to customize. I really hope there is more to come with this.
Was planning to get paid version. I'm so thankful I didn't. It's impossible to create an L shaped room. The menu at the side keeps disappearing, so I can't enter room sizes. Selecting walls to resize or reposition means tapping away at the screen until it opens that option. Ugh. I'm so frustrated that I have a headache. I really wanted this to work. I'm building a home and wanted to get a feel for what I am designing. I have my basic plan drawn out on graph paper. I just need to input and view.
It was working good, but didn't save my design that I spent 3 hours on. I was signed in and everything. I'm not wasting my time anymore, there's a reason it's 3.7 stars. There isn't a whole lotta options anyways. I had to use squares for the cabinets and etc... Just stay away from and use the other ones under similar, there's a few with 4.5 stars and above that work really good. And best of all, they don't hound you to upgrade all the time.
This is a premium app disguised as a free one. Purchase is required to create a new plan, despite the prompt saying it's only needed for "unlimited new plans" (implying a limited amount is available for free), and that saving is disabled without purchase. If the developers want people to buy the app, just be up front about it & list it with a price.
The app lets you play with preset designs to get a taste of how to use it, but you have to pay $5-$22 in order to save anything. It is very well made. It's easy to use & has a lot features and details. You can do anything interior or exterior. I spent hours on a design thinking I could save. It just gives a generic response "to create unlimited # of projects, pay" whenever you do something restricted. But you should at least be able to save 1 house if you advertise as adds and in app purchases.
Works great, I'm using it for comic backgrounds and art instead of actual construction or planning. There are a few issues though, like that the free version lacks a necessary option: the save button. And that when you move an object, sometimes it wants to move you with it if you move it too far up the screen, which gets annoying constantly having to readjust. And it needs a better zooming option so you can take pictures in view from low angles, not just standing angles. Otherwise, great app!!
This is the best app of it's kind that I've ever used. Very easy to create rooms and decorate them to give you a good feel for what you like. I love that you can make almost any object any color/texture you want. It would be nice if you could have circular (and/or semicircle) rooms, as well as being able to rotate rooms, though. Also, more decorations like computers and appliances, etc. that aren't attached to desks and tables. Overall a great app for designing a home, shop, barn, garage, etc.
Paid for the full version. It worked great until it started crashing on the loading screen. Now its been more than a few days since last i could open it. *edit ... 4 days later the app still wont open. I have sent numerous "feedback" msgs and error logs. Haven't heard a reply from the developer or support team. I'd like a refund since i am not in the habit of purchasing things i cannot use
At first it was great. I was able to design my dream home and place things the way I wanted. Sadly, after a while, you can't place anymore walls, furniture nor can you delete anything. Completely cuts you off mid-design. Does it every time and you have to pay for all of the extra furnitures, so you have very limited furniture, and household items needed to design a house. Do not recommend unless you are willing and are able to pay the price. Otherwise it is a good app for a quick design.
I use this all the time, great app, I bought the $20 upgrade and it's definitely worth it. Great for remodeling or decorating. I love that I can import my own colors and patterns such as tile and wallpaper. I wish it could do photo realism but I had too many items for it to work, but that's not important. I'm working on a huge project. I even planned the garden with it.
So, I just finished using the app and let me just mention how great and well made the app is. Controls were easy, icons and interface were organized and neat which was really convenient (didn't even need a tutorial). What's upsetting is how 2/3rds of the items you can use to build are locked behind a pay wall. There are cool and unique decorations- way better than the basics we are stuck with, but it's a shame you'd have to buy it. Color choices were limited, a colorwheel would be better too.
Opened the app to an ad. Then it asked if I wanted to upgrade for money. No. Tried to create a project which triggered an ad. Tried to grab a cookie crumb off of my phone which somehow also triggered an ad. Finally added a room, but couldn't adjust the dimensions - just click, drag, and hope it's right. Tried to find a tutorial, but when I clicked the menu the app crashed. Reopened the app to, you guessed it, an ad! 0 out 5 stars. Kinda pretty, but pretty useless. Will find something else.
