Seems to work fine, but I can't figure out how to use the from facing camera. It seems to only want me to use the selfie side camera. So when I needed to look at the options I had to turn it around and ended up filming myself. Edit: I was able to get the program to only use the front camera after going into the settings. Very useful program. I set it up at my kitchen window to keep an eye on my chickens. So far good. Thank you for replying so quickly, too.

← Back to Home Security Camera - SeeCiTVI must say my experience using the premium version is good. My only and main 2 issues are #1) When it detects movement, it only records for 30 seconds. I want it to record much longer and/or constantly record until I stop it. My other issue is that I tought that once I purchased the premium, that I would have a option for constant recording. There were people outside by my window, but the camera did not detect the movement. I want a constant record option until storage is full.
So far so good, it is exactly as described, simple setup, with a minor, yet obnoxious issue of loud, panic inducing audio feedback loop upon first connection, was due to both phones within a few meters of each other, and will not be an issue in the future because the devices won't be in the immediate vacinity of the other, under normal usage conditions.
Update: motion detection haven't audio detection that affect the start of rec, made it very late? We need timer for the start for detection with sound, Good but the moving detection keep stoping with any touch for the mobile, and not working again automatically! There is no option for making it working in the background instead the video mode working in the background ؟ what the video mode doing in the background? I didn't find any needing but live streaming? That isn't my main concern!
App sucks. I spent over an hour trying to get it to work. Everything is set up correctly per all instructions I can detect both devices on each other codes all set correctly and it will not connect to view. UPDATE: Guess you didn't read my review considering it was left almost a year ago and you're just responding now.
It's a pretty solid app. Really does actually work with 0 lag as far as I can tell. I only used it for a few minutes though as there was a LOT of feed back coming from the receiving phone which was enough to make me delete the app. If you guys can read this,talking to the Devs here, please fix the feedback problem. It's horrid! Only other reason why I gave this rating is quite literally the ad spam. Non stop back to back ads. That's the only issue I have with this app.
I have been trying this app for a few days now, it has worked as expected, I can clearly see from the camera of my second device whenever I want, I enjoy the voice feature a lot, the video streaming is not laggy at all, even on cellular data, I have tried the motion detection feature as well and it works perfectly! I'd enjoy longer recordings but I am sticking to the free version for now, since a lot of people seem to have trouble with premium. Works perfectly fine free!
This app was at one point the most perfect app in this category of apps.. I settled to use it after going through so many, then now it's nothing but useless. Connects once then if you try to connect the request isn't granted somehow! I used this for months uninterrupted, I turn on remote mode then I would connect to it anytime I want, but now I have no idea what happened it just doesn't work any longer! What did you do! I am soon going to request a refund if not fixed. Figure it out developers!
It's a very capable app. The only 2 things I would complain about are: 1. Ads. I know it's free, but sometimes it disconnects my stream to show me an ad. I'm watching my baby daughter, so that's not cool. 2. Battery level of camera phone is not displayed when watching a live stream so you don't know the battery of the camera unit until you close the feed and see the list of devices. Other than those two, I recommend this app. Thanks for it.
Great little app, very handy to use an old cellphone as a camera that can be monitored remotely. Have never had a problem connecting. The advertisements that pop up before connecting to the camera are acceptably short. Time will tell if the developers get greedy for more advertising income and sell longer running ads, like so many others have (and lost my business as a result). Overall very pleased with the simple functionality.
NOT A FREE AP,P it's more like a crappy trial. Their premium features a free to try for a day, and free if you watch a special ad but only for one session. smh I don't mind this model, but every thing is done is just such away that it's taken just a bit too far. Like only being allowed to have one watching device. This is fine, but you have to log a device completely out, the make it easy to log back in, but it's still a process. The app dosent stand out enough to warent just a 1 day trial...
I LOVE this app. I used the free version for about a day before I realized that I needed the premium, because it was so good! I love the motion detection, and that it has different sensitivities, you can't dictate a target "zone" but with the normal sensitivity I haven't gotten any passing cars as motion detection. A couple times the phones have frozen when using it free when the motions were back-to-back, but in premium with the longer record, it hasn't happened. Google drive has a little "encoding" time to see the saved motion, but downloading motion to the phone used as a camera is an option that I like if Wifi goes out, and the alert isn't uploaded. I have a few suggestions that make it not as up-to-date currently 9/2019, with some of the other apps and options: No option to change notification sound, or mute it - No option to change storage location for saved content to SD card -
I use the free version & am not familiar w/premium features, so, take my review for what it is -- In terms of its similarity to the way the big wifi security programs work (i.e. Xfinity, Blink, Ring, etc), it's a decent app. As long as the connection doesn't peter out, it does all it claims. I wish they'd make it for Apple though, too, so if all I have is an android & an iPhone to use, I can still use it. Seems what matters is that you're just signed into the same account. Good app, otherwise!
It's ok. But I do not like it as much as ivideon. for one thing it doesn't give as wide a view. If you turn phone sideways picture gets smaller. it. doesn't have night vision on it. when in motion detect it does capture good photo of cars going by. settings are to easily changed without realizing it. it's ok like I said not as goid as the other I. have. But my other I can only use two camera phones on so I had to find another app to use for my 3rd one.. however it does capture motion faster.
After being instructed to turn on the camera mode and doing so a dozen times on both phones, with no success I just uninstalled. It didn't help one bit that there were pop-up ads in the middle of trying to get the camera started. ads are fine it's a great way to monetize your app, but if they interfere with the customer figuring out how to use it in the first place they're no good!
Has potential but a monthly fee? I don't know about that. The camera settings on the free version are not sticking. I'm not sure if this is a bug or because it is the free version but it certainly makes the app unreliable. Otherwise it has great features and works very well when it's on. Good (fast) notifications. Records instantly. Very sensitive for dark places and works well with Google drive cloud and local storage.
I have used this app for a few years. I would rate 5 stars, but some months ago, I stopped receiving any & all notifications to the monitoring device. I went so far as to reinstall on both devices... still no notifications. Yes, all notifications are turned on. The camera still detects and uploads to google drive, but does not notify of events, or wifi loss, or when camera mode is turned on or off. The lack of real time notifications of detections makes the app useless for my purposes.
I'vE used this app on multiple (5) Android devices. Samsung, and ZTE. A couple of my Androids are quite old. All but 1 were Wi-Fi only devices. I've not had any issues whatsoever. The ads weren't a bother. And I wasn't bombarded with them at all. Barely noticeable. And I recently had occasion to email the Devs with a question... They replied in less than 5 minutes. I recommend this app highly.
App works okay, however after purchasing the pro version, every once in awhile it decides to say that I haven't purchased it and that I can't have more than one device connected unless I purchase the pro version. Always having to shut the whole thing down, on both devices sometimes, and restart it so that goes away. Also, no multi-view support, and recordings do not have audio. If I can hear people talking while streaming, I should hear them when this thing records them.
I've been using this app for a couple of years and it just gets better each time. grab any old cell phone and hook it up on your Wi-Fi and then go someplace with your other phone and you can get notices if there's a motion detected m connect to your device and see it live with audio also. It's nice to be able to see when a package arrives or somebody is knocking at your door when you're not home.
