So here's my take on Homey — A better smart home. I've tested a bunch of smart home apps and this one's definitely one of the more robust and full-featured options. The automation tools are really powerful once you get the hang of them. But it does have a bit of a learning curve, especially for less tech-savvy users. And the free plan is pretty limited - you kinda need to pay for the premium version to get the most out of it. Overall though, if you want a one-stop smart home control center, Homey is a pretty solid choice.

Description

Been using Homey — A better smart home for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you control and automate your whole smart home setup. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you can do – you can connect all your smart devices like lights, thermostats, plugs, etc and manage them from one central place. There’s also a cool automation feature where you can set up ‘flows’ to make your devices work together. And the remote access is great – you can control everything from your phone even when you’re not home.

Look, if you’re big into smart home tech, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of Homey. It’s not perfect – the onboarding can be a little confusing at first and the free plan is kinda limited. But overall it does a pretty good job of being your one-stop-shop for managing your connected home.

It seems great to start with, but it's missing a few features that I would call basic. I expect the ability to be able to have an average of something....
