Description
Been using Homey – Chores and Allowance for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you manage chores and allowance for the whole family. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here’s what you do: you can set up daily, weekly or one-time chores for the kids. There’s also chores that are just responsibilities and you won’t pay for, plus extra jobs they can do to earn money or rewards. You can manage their allowance too and even transfer it to their bank account. It’s got saving jars so the kids can set financial goals.
Look, if you’re trying to teach your kids about money, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Homey - Chores and Allowance. I've tested a bunch of parenting apps and this one's pretty solid. The core features work well and it's a great way to get kids involved in managing their money. And it's not gonna change your life or anything, but if you need a simple chore and allowance system, this gets the job done. The syncing across devices is pretty clutch too. Only real downside is it can be a bit buggy at times, but the dev seems to update it regularly.
