Love this App, awesome improvement over the standard (albeit free) one. Looking forward to some further development, especially making it metric!! Being able to select celcius on guages would be great and allowing the App to auto reconnect on each use rather than manually having to select ecu would be great. Update! gauges csn be adjusted to metric which is great and auto connection is on the development list so this is a great App!
Reviews for Hondata
← Back to HondataGood thing I got mob app finally working as original hondata app never connect on my Android phones, datalogging direct thru phone and maybe in future able to change maps like ktuner tunerview. After new update this app is not connecting anymore, it's asking for Bluetooth pairing password and showing error in pairing. Please do something
Application is really nice now, after some adjustments for your platform it is far better than the free app. With their fantastic help I only marked down 1 stars for the lack of a shift light now. 😘 Maybe the abilty to create a different set of guage layout for the dash cam instead from off the dashboard. Then its perfect. 😉
Superb app for hondata users. Wish there was an option to change a certain setting (not related to tuning the car) such as launch control RPM's. Unless the other hondata app offers it, i couldnt find it on this one. I swapped my steering wheel to OEM FD2 Type-R which removes the cruise control buttons, and I wanted to keep it oem and not add my steering wheel controls to it even though I could. Would've been perfect otherwise if the app had that feature. 5/5 otherwise not incl my above statement
IT'S FINALLY WORKING. THE LATEST UPDATE HAS FIXED BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY! Now my phone connects automatically, and more importantly, STAYS CONNECTED THE WHOLE TIME! No more freezing and restarting the app, or unplugging the FlashPro from the ODB/II. The gauge designs and options are absolute top tier. Basically the app works as always described now.
Terrible. So far I got all the setting done the way I wanted and when I tried connecting to my hondata it can't find it and when I do manual mode it doesn't find it either. I had the old free app and it worked great. Only recently switched because of all the new features. Might try and find the old all and get a refund. Very disappointed.
I second the Android Auto request! I'd love to be able to put extra gauges on the infotainment display during autocross.
I'm pretty disappointed in this app, it does not work well. When you give your car full throttle it seems like there's to much information so the app freezes, jams the phone or tablet up, can't even back out of app cause its frozen. Ive tried changing BT setting in app, does the same thing, I've notice when I enable the shift light its worse, BT will not reconnect unless I turn off car, is there anything else i can do? I've tryed this app on my phone and tablet doesn't work on either.
Really like this app over the free one. Some suggestions for future releases: 1. Make a "midnight red" theme for those with an Si or Type-R to match the red cluster. 2. Auto connect with flash-pro on start up of app. 3. Make the race cam toggle between portrait and landscape.
Hondata has many very dependable products that I've ran with great success over the years. However that being said this app is not one of them. Many weird software glitches. Won't pick up my S300 but can pick up my buddies Kpro no problem. Then when my buddies uses his app he can pick up my s300 no problem but not his Kpro. Also really wish it still works with an android auto double din. That was a great feature and a huge disappointment that it doesn't work any more. Otherwise good when it work
It was working great but somehow it stopped working. It said it's paired but couldn't connect to Bluetooth. please help me find this fix . and I even hard reset my phone and its still the same.
great app. useful on track days. but something on the last update....not getting to connect via BT3.0 which I normally use for stability. All problems sorted with version 1.9.7 Good to go again. Great app.
When connected and doesn't freeze works great. I'm using an Android Atoto A6 PF radio. I changed the BT 3.0 settings and it stays connected on first start up. if you restart the car it reconnects then freezes. What you have to do at times is switch the BT settings and it will say restart the app. Once you do that restart the car most times it will connect. Hondata if you can give us an option to do a wire connect directly from kpro using the USB connection that would be awesome.
Nice addition to Hondata, though you can't view parameters while datalogging to the flashpro. I also have run into a bug that makes accessing the dashcam function difficult, but not impossible. Everything seems to work fine, and it's a useful tool for you to see how your car is running in real time without a bulky laptop.
App was great, but new update just makes it freeze up all the time. Not sure what changed. The app will not connect and just gets stuck in a loop of "looking for adapters." I have changed Bluetooth settings, tried to manually select my flashpro, etc. It won't connect, but the hondata app connects instantly. It's a shame because this app is much better graphically, but doesn't work now.
The app is outdated. The UI/UX is pretty bad. Not only is it visually not great, but the left side menu is impossible to access with the gesture navigation on the phone. If you use the 3 buttons at the bottom of the display for phone navigation, I'm sure it's fine. But I literally cannot swipe from the side of the screen because it just "backs" out of the app.
Just bought this app, and I gotta say, first impression is that it looked nice but it was quite laggy. Scrolling down through the tutorial was very jerky and I had to take brief pauses so that I could continue scrolling. Getting to the gauges wasn't any better as swiping between those was just as laggy as the tutorial, if not more. Edit/update: The app started to work fine for me when I switched from bluetooth 4.0 to 3.0. It feels much less frustrating to use now. Changed from 1 star to 4 star.
Even after all the updates. And doing everything. You guys told me to do. It still drops connection. It is getting annoying. Having to unplug and plug hondata flashpro back in. Please fix. I like your guys product. But it is getting old. With the bluetooth problems for the mobile app. Or make it so we can hard connect with type c. I have downloaded firmware the update. It is still dropping.
It's really convenient to have the ability to make adjustments and monitor real-time without having my laptop sitting in the car. Very useful for diagnostics, and reading codes. The connectivity is sometimes a little stubborn, but overall, it's absolutely awesome. I'll upgrade to 5 once the connectivity becomes a little more stable. **Update: You've definitely made some improvements! Connection is stable now so I changed to 5 stars.**
The app has worked great for me. I haven't had any connectivity issues like others have reported. The reason I'm rating it 3 stars is because you can't use the app on an android head unit. It doesn't really make sense. We pay for the app we should be able to use it on any android device. I don't like having my phone stuck to the dash when I'm driving so being able to view all my gauges on my stereo would be awesome. Otherwise the app is great.
