I am desperately trying to end my free trial because I don't want to continue using this app and haven't been able to easily find a way. plus, the navigation buttons at the bottom of the app screen are obscured with the navigation buttons of my phone.
Reviews for Honeydew: Recipe Manager
Import from IG didn't work and it's a paid subscription service. and if it worked, you only get 10 imports until you have to pay. Their app developer said I didn't try to import, but I sure did! Or I'm missing a button and it's unclear how to use.
This was advertised to me about 30mins after I downloaded StashCook. I opened the app to give it a go, and within seconds, they were asking me to subscribe. I hadnt even gotten past the intro/tutorial and try it out, and already they wanted my money. After closing that, I instantly noticed a banner stating "10 Imports Remaining". To truly get a feel of it, I would need at least a weeks' worth (14 recipes), and I cannot. Oh and its twice as expensive as StashCook. So, unfortunately, I wont use it
Very polished UI, but soooo buggy, for example trying to download a recipe from a website apparently takes 30 secs (takes a second on other apps), but sometimes doesn't even finish. Definitely not worth the premium asking price. And no, just because you include AI doesn't make something better. The competition out there costs a lot less and does a better job.
Buggy, the recipes don't always show up, sometime if I do it a 2nd time they do. There is no option to print them (that would be nice, I hate working from my phone). Also a web version would be nice; easier to organize, etc on a laptop screen than on my phone
Really liking this app! The AI integration has been really cool and puts it a step above similar apps I've tried. My favorite feature is the AI Meal Plan function. Suggestions: A way to add all recipes from a meal plan to a folder with one button. A way to add all ingredients from a meal plan to a shopping list with one button. Some buttons don't have a "task completed" signal. For example, the button which adds meal items to the list should show "items added!" to show it worked correctly
This app is amazing, the ease of saving a recipe from anywhere and it holds any information that's needed for each one! I love that you can sort and organize by category and if needed it will plan your week ahead for dinner. I only had one issue with this app it will take over your web browser if you flip the wrong switch in settings! other than that it's terrific and very useful!
the idea of the app is awesome, i wagch recipe videos all of the time and being able to add them to one location with directions and recipes with 1 click would be sweet. however, the software doesn't work like that. I tried to save 7 recipes. 5 of the 7 recipes saved as a tomato basil pasta (which was not the recipe I tried to save, im assuming it is their default recipe if the app can't save the actual recipe) and for 50$ a year, to only be able to save 2 of 7 recipes its not worth it.
I've only had this app for a few days, but I've already added quite a few recipes and referenced them to make future meal plans. I dig it. it does glitch fairly regularly and some of those glitches turn into incomplete saved recipes that I can't get rid of, very frustrating. The recipes seem very accurate. Personally, the subscription fee seems reasonable to me given the functionality (hopes for improvements). it's a great deal handier than saving reels on Instagram or posts on Pinterest
so far so good. I'm running into an issue where I try to share a recipe to the app as instructed, but it only opens the app to show what I've already saved. I end up having to back out, go back to the video with the recipe, and reshare in order to get it to save. its annoying to have to do it twice each time, and I also lost a recipe I was trying to save because my feed reset when I went back to the video to re-save.
