I really like the app, but at nearly $51 including tax, it's a bit excessive. I saw where it says $.99-$47.99. I don't see an option for any other amount. I don't need unlimited jobs & don't see an option to subscribe any other way. Sadly, I'll have to find another app that's less expensive.
Reviews for Hours Tracker Time Tracking
← Back to Hours Tracker Time TrackingThis is a great application. It's worth it to buy the subscription. If your an independent hourly worker it's good to be able to show whoever is paying you a time sheet. It allows you to edit in case you miss a break or forget to clock in or out. I wish there was a way to export via text message or have link to cash app so I could send a request for payment from cash app, and have this attached to it as well.
Slack development. Bought this app in 2017, when it was a one-time purchase. Worked well enough as a time clock, exporting .csv for generating invoices. Tags UI had problems. Recently HoursTracker locked me out. Had been signed out of PlayStore for years, and logging back in caused HoursTracker to change its license from one-time to subscription. I am forced to either abandon the app, or pay $50/year. Yet its features have barely changed since 2017. I would not buy this app today.
I've been using this program since 2014. It is by far the best full featured time tracking app that allows me to easily track all of my customers work putting in details and capturing Time down to the minute accurately effectively and all done at a minimal price. The cloud app gives me the capability to allow customers to look at their time that I'm going to build him for. I used to miss work that I did for a client and not be able to remember what I did when I did and where I did. No longer.
UPDATE: Now on top of annoying videos AND ads you're making it a pay app?!? Seriously?! UNINSTALLED. I liked it up until the recent update. Now when you clock in or out it plays a really annoying video ad--before the update I want blasted with an ad every time I clocked in or out. I don't have time to wait for an ad...I need to make a note on the entry so I can tell what the job details are and get to work. If there were more features I'd consider upgrading but there aren't so I'm not going to.
I have used both the iOS and android versions of this app. I just moved from an iPhone to an android, so I am currently using the android version. The iOS version is better. My biggest gripe on this version is that you can't add a time entry while in the "period" view. This is SUPER annoying. I like to add my hours in the period view so I can see how many hours I have racked up for that current pay period as I am entering. This feature was available in the iOS version. Bring it to android!
I purchased the pro edition and it worked great, received the confirmation email and was good to go. Ive been using the app for almost a year. I purchased a new phone, tried to recover username/password using the email that the confirmation was sent to and they say they dont have record of my email... I've emailed them multiple times and Facebook messaged them and I get no help no response! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!IF ANYONE CAN HELP I'D APPRECIATE IT. I have many jobs and information saved in the app, and would have given 5 stars but I'm irritated I cant get in contact with anyone.
I'd like to see money made total per month. If there is a way to do that, I havent found it yet. It would also be cool if there was a way to set up multiple rates for the same company. That's not as big of a deal, just involves some math on my part, but as a stagehand, we have different rates per job we do in a single company. Other than those 2 suggestions, this app is fabulous!
Excellent app. Couple constructive criticisms 1. I would like to be able to set it to where if it detects you're at your work with the geofence, be able to preset a start time instead of automatically starting and stopping the clock. Or... 2. Set a daily shift where you can just click an icon and it automatically enters a preset regular daily shift including breaks, etc, for those of us that work predetermined shifts. But be amendable for any variance. Good job guys
So far it's been very easy to use and edit times. It would be great if you could make a couple improvements. 1: have a startup instruction to guide a new user through the functions. 2: I would love it if I could set different days to be at different rates. Eg. Monday though Friday at $25/hour, Saturday at $35/hour, Sunday at $55/hour. With the ability to only set certain days at different rates (while also being able to disable certain days from counting towards weekly overtime)
Love: simple, great android widget, easy export, live almost everything. Warning: the ads they allow on the free version are more than annoying. They actually carry malware. I spent time isolating the cause of my phone issues and Im 99% sure. I looked for an app that is just as good, but there is none, so I'm buying the app in hopes that my phone wont need to return to factory settings again because of it.
I've been using this app for 5+ years now and have NEVER had ANY issues. It's so versatile and can keep track of multiple jobs, if needed. There is a Cloud that I have used to transfer data when I have switched phones ( Samsung Note10 now). Nothing is ever missing. I have never been kicked out or had ANY trouble clocking in or out at any given time, all hours of the night and day. This has been 100% glitch-free for me!!! Well done!
This is the perfect app! I tested out several apps and just could couldn't find the one that was right for me. I needed one that could track overnight shifts, let me push one button to clock in and out, and set my pay period to every other Friday rather than specific dates each month. This app had all those features, plus a widget for simple use on my home screen, and a scheduling function so I can automatically clock in when I know I'll be at work! So glad I found this app!
This app is great, I've been using it everyday for 3 years. The two things I don't like, (not sure if it's because I no longer have an iPhone) I wasn't able to transfer all of my logs from one phone to the other and had to re purchase the app and start over. Second thing is, it no longer allows me to input scheduled breaks. Before, I was able to have them set at a particular time with each job, now I currently have to input my breaks with each daily log. Besides that, the app is great.
I love this app. It's very user friendly and easy to navigate. I like that you can customize and track your pay periods. The GPS/location clock in/ out capability is a major bonus- especially for someone like me who forgets. I initially started using the free version and after 2 weeks (which I believe is how many entries you can input with that version), realized it was going to be something I'd need/ use and bought the full version. Highly reccomend!
Lately, I've noticed discrepancies with the totals. It's not a great amount, usually just +/- change amounts, but, the $ isn't totaling correctly if multiplied by the hourly rate. The app has been very useful. I have 2 clients that easily use the exported sheets. However, with these discrepancies, I have to create separate invoices and verify the correct amount.
Good time tracker, but recently it doesn't update my time in my notifications bar on my phone like it used to, nor can I go on break using the notifications bar; I have to open the app to add a break and can only put in my starting time. My breaks vary in length, so I can't just put in an end time and be done. This is a total pain. I'd like to be able to just swipe down to see how long I've been on break, or on the clock in general, and to control all that from the notifications bar.
Flexible app and I don't mind the ads. I would've kept using it if it weren't for the 21 log limit. Unless you don't care to delete your work log over time, this app won't be free. The $6 upgrade goes from this tight restriction to unlimited logs for 5 jobs and other things I won't use. If you let a person have unlimited logs for 1 job with ads, I would've kept using this app. I tried a 2nd work log app and they indeed have this increased limitation, plus dark mode.
Has everything i want including geofencing to automatically clock in/out. I would however like an option to add a set amount of dollars per day. I get $20 per day for expenses and want $20 added to each work day. Testing it today. If it is trash I will update my review. UPDATE: geofencing doesnt work even when done correctly without battery optimization and always allow access to location. also the ads are too intrusive at the worst time. Sad it isnt better
Great app, definitely the best hours tracker I've tried. I dropped it to 3 stars because of the costs. You can pay $10 for unlimited jobs, or $6 for 5 jobs. I only need to track one, it makes no sense to pay $6 for 1 job. There should be a low baseline single job price. I dropped it down to 2 because you can export entries as csv, but cannot import csv entries.
