I've been using this for four years now and I've had absolutely zero issues. From clearing DTCs to looking at live data to snapshots of the conditions of the vehicle when a DTC trips. I don't know why the reviews are so bad for this thing..alot of them sound like user error to me..it does come with a digital user manual in the app.
This is a joke. First it will not connect, after - it will tell you to update firmware, after it will disconnect during update and will die. Red light . Hardware or firmware that comes in this device is a 🤣. Taking it back to Walmart. And sounds that app makes every 5 to 10 seconds is annoying. But since it was born dead - it doesn't matter.
Great app and dongle, now i have a scanner in my pocket whenever i need one, no cords to carry around. Reads all makes and model for free, if you want to get into the dealer side of the modules you pay a subscription per vehicle manufacturer to access those, even my professional scanners have a subscription for manufacturer specific software and that was on top of $3000 you pay for the scanner. If you don't know what you're doing its because you don't know what you're doing. Great product Autel.
The package should state what phones this device only works if you have 64 bit phone /tablet. Completely useless and a HUGE waste of time and money. Still have receipt, package unopened... Unless Autel is releasing an update to make this app work with 32 bit devices within the next few days, this goes back and Autel is off my list of trusted brands. Bad bad bad Autel... I'm extremely disappointed.
It was great when I first got it, worked like a charm. I was able to figure out all the trouble codes as they came because of this but now for some reason I can't sign into my account on the app. I can on the site but yeah it keeps saying server communication error.
Does what it claims, most of the time. Worked well at first, then it claimed I need to "bind" my VCI, months later. I couldn't find the original packaging so it just didn't work for a long time then suddenly did again. If an update comes out you can do NOTHING until you update. New firmware causes the same issue. Does not function at all if the host device doesn't have an internet connection to advertise more Autel products. Works otherwise as advertised.
Works amazingly & has saved me from a headache on several occasions! I've got a note 10+ & the only issue I have is that occasionally it takes a minute to pair & connect, which isn't a big enough issue for me to give it anything less than a 5 star rating. Im not a certified mechanic but I have used it on my own vehicle as well as several others to find an issue, fix it & erase any codes that have popped up & to recalibrate stuff as well. If you know how to use the app correctly it is amazing!
If i could give this a zero star rating i would. I bought mine in NOVENBER and haven't been able to use it not even once!! Terrible !! Every time i try the app just crashes and kicks me out to my phones home screen. I've been on the phone for hours with support and have gotten absolutely nothing done. I literally paid this company$50 for a headache. Never once did i get to use the thing. Ya, I'm pissed.
App does not work, followed instructions carefully . Every time I tried to do anything in the app it prompted me to bind the unit to my account. I would do that and it would say product registered successfully...after that anything I would try to do within the app it would prompt me to the same screen to bind the product by scanning the QR code on unit. Hyper Tough are wasting people's time and money by not fully testing their software. Half of the reviews are from people that it doesn't work.
Most of the special functions won't work, a message saying "vin decoding failed" pops every time , contacted customer support twice but they can't figure out the problem. I will give it 5 star if the problem gets fixed. Now is not working at all, vehicle brand files gone and no way to re download them, absolutely worthless
