Reviews for Hullomail Voicemail

When I changed from iphone to Samsung galaxy the biggest feature I missed was the visual Voicemail, until I found Hullomail! This is great, sends notifications on missed calls and voicemails as well as transcribing them so you can see the content without having to listen to it. Another great feature is being able to leave customised messages for different contacts.

I've been a loyal user for 10 years now - the app is great. However, the new price increase is just ridiculous! And now looking to leave. I've paid around £5.99-£7.99 over the last 10yrs, but now my 'discount' price is £12.99. (Its £19.99 for a new user!!) That's just too much for a voicemail. I never asked for more transcrips, or any! - I never use transcrips. The lite was perfect with recording messages, having a visual list and emailing a copy.

I've used this app (professionally) for some time now and can't really fault it. On a yearly basis it's dead cheap for what it offers and I find it invaluable. I understand they had to change the subscription model a bit, but that hasn't affected how I use the app. Overall, (for me at least) very, very handy indeed.

UPDATE! - 2023 now: I have been using this app for 8 years now! The subscription has gone up in price, but the app is invaluable to my everyday working. 0 issues - simply works! **December 2015 Review** This app has always been great! I have been using it for about 3 years now and am a premium subscriber. The missed call catcher feature is also a very handy feature especially in those low reception areas where you believe you had reception to receive a call, yet the caller couldn't get through..

This is simply the best app. I use it with a Vodafone post pay SIM and I love it. Utterly dependable, user friendly and makes my life easier. As if that's not enough, if you divert all calls whilst roaming in a high cost destination, you can save a fortune in avoiding high calling charges by picking up your voicemails for free over WiFi or a data only esim. Brilliant!

By bye Hullomail. If it have been £1 a year or similar I might have kept it but £23.48 a year for voicemail I get for free. I'm afraid not. Might have been worth it if I still had to pay to access mail but that's a thing of the past unfortunately. Don't need the transcript function. Maybe you should have kept a cheaper subscription choice with very basic functions? Laters! Guess that's what happens when you sell out.

I used Hullomail years ago but got fed up of notifications never coming through. Unfortunately the app I've been using for the last 7/8 years has been abandoned and Hullomail is the only other visual voicemail with a rating above 3*. Sadly, I deactivated and uninstalled it as soon as I saw what the prices actually are: £4.99 p/m or £29.99 p/a just for 2 min of recording time. If there was a cheaper option for JUST visual voicemail with 5 min and no transcription, I'd pay. Not worth it otherwise.

It's a five star app except the pricing model. Used to be free but no longer and wasn't aware that my previous records were removed. I can understand that revenue is important to sustain and happy to pay for it but only for periods I need it e.g. when I am out of the UK. So if you add facility to pause and restart subscription, you can retain me as a customer.

Sadly not for me anymore, after the price hike I have not renewed. The lite version fitted my needs and have had this app for many years when it was originally free if I remember correctly. I paid the reasonable fee when it became a paid app because I valued the app and was more than happy to support. The latest hike is not justifiable for me personally. I'm sure it is for others as it's a fantastic app. Sadly I will no longer be renewing but wish you continued success.

Works well, but they are removing the free ad-supported version. It is not worth paying what they are asking for it. A far better solution would be to allow a certain amount (of messages (say 20) a month for free. That way light users can still use the product, supported by advertising, but heavier users can pay more. Alternatively a one of fee of a few pound would have also been fine.

For UK networks that don't offer a Visual Voicemail service, this is perfect. I use the basic free service as a simple answerfone, but the added paid features would come in handy if I wasn't retired. Or had friends. Edit: I understand needing to charge, but making the process impossible to pay for even the Pro service, but restricting access until a subscription is setup, completely ruined the otherwise positive experience. Looking for another service - pity.

free service just removed with 2 wk notice. shame as it was one of the best apps in this category. thanks for responding to the review. there are plenty of other similar apps that you can get for free. the service you guys provided was really good. I've had the app for years. it was supported with annoying ads but I put up with it due to just how good the app was. so technically the app was free but you guys received monetary rewards from the ads. so I don't see how you subsidised it?

I have been using hullomail for a few years and it works very well. Voicemails can be sent to my email address so I can hear them even without my phone. The transcription function also works well. I recently changed phone and required support from the team (phone behaving badly). They were quick to respond and went beyond to help me resolve my issue.

Been using for about 10 years. Brilliant app if you're frequently occupied and can't take calls. Voicemails are transcribed in the paid version so you can get the gist immediately at a glance. Very easy to use.

Nice app! After I left Verizon, I was looking for a replacement app for visual voicemails. There really aren't too many options, and the several I tried we're disappointing. Then I found Hullomail. I love it! I used it for the trial period, then signed up for Lite. For now, I think Lite will meet my needs. It will send a duplicate of each visual voicemail to an email address, either manually or automatically. The app is fast. Layout is logical. Transcription is remarkably accurate. Well done!

Best voicemail etc app out there!! I would be lost without this app! In fact I was! Switched to a different tmobile plan and when it was activated, my Hullomail was gone! Dealing with the dialup voicemail service was killing me! What a time waster! The "visual voicemail " tmobile app has NEVER worked. HULLOMAIL is smooth and easy! It is well worth subscription rate! I've had it for years. Just got done reactivating with best tech help!! DO IT! NO REGRETS!

Not bad for what it does. This is 100% worth the money imho. And with it set up on one phone but installed on two separate phones I can get notified if my main line missed a call without even having it turned on. But sometimes in a perfect signal area it is slow by minutes or even hours to notify me of a missed call. Even with settings at push or 15 min intervals. And sometimes it refuses to update a personalized voice message. It's not perfect but it's good enough I've had it for years.

I have had this app for at least the past 7 years, when I updated the app, all of a sudden, I had to pay $12/for the year. Like many who had it free, I uninstalled and left. However, after only 2 weeks I have not found an app that can even compare AND I refuse to use Verizons Voicemail system that is a long and drawn out process for the amount of calls I receive and miss. Just today it was ten. Props to you HulloMail! The app is easy to use and I can quickly listen to messages without hassle!

The app shows I have no missed calls, which is absurd because I have at least 10 missed calls a day. They did resolve the issue where only part of the message was transcribed. Otherwise, it works great. All messages are sent to email and are available for at least a year, and I can create a custom greeting for every caller. I really like that the app gives me the option to respond to callers who leave a message via text right from the app using the native texting app.

I used this app for a long time when it was free. I liked it so much I was willing to pay the $9 a year, but for some reason my app wouldn't let me pay for the upgrade. The customer service were great..and tried to help but couldn't figure out why the "buy" buttons were grayed out. I deleted and tried some other voicemail apps but they were horrible. This week I thought I'd reinstall HulloMail and hope it was fixed.. it was. I happily paid the yearly fee and it' was up and working in minutes. I love it. Does everything I want.. I hated having to call a number to listen to a voicemail. It's so easy to scan quickly.. delete the ones I don't want..and know from the transcription, which ones I don't even want to listen to. So happy that buy button worked!
