This app really works and is a profound accomplishment to deliver us poor souls from Toyota's ineptitude. (Why can I not just play YouTube audio without the need for this app???) FINALLY! This solves the ANNOYING problem with the Mazda 3 where adjusting the volume (using the car's volume knob) stops YouTube playback and switches to YouTube Music which then blows out your eardrums. Worth every penny! I have been submitting feedback to Google and looking for a fix for this for nearly 5 years.. Google never responded or solved this issue. Thankfully this app provides a great workaround.
It really works. I was not able to adjust volume for Fermata Auto in my Toyota Camry because it would automatically resume Spotify every time I pressed volume down or up. With this app installed I'm able to do it like in every other "normal" car.
This app works perfectly for solving the issue I have with Android auto in my Toyota stock head unit. it stops the autoplay feature of your most recently used music app. when changing volume. this is helpful. when I try to watch something on YouTube and stops it from reverting back to my music app. it also doesn't pause my video when changing volumes.
Not being able to control YouTube volume was driving me nuts! With this app, just set it once and forget it. I think technically you could do the same thing with a silent Spotify playlist, but I find this more convenient. Worth every penny.
Great solution to fix "Audio Paused" issue in Toyotas when running Android Auto and listening to audio in a non AA app. I like to watch videos when I'm sitting in my car on breaks and I was unable to change the volume unless I opened Spotify and played music and then went back to my video. Well worth the $1.50!
A hidden gem, found out about this app on reddit, my toyota rav4 would always start playing another audio source when i adjusted the volume. This little app runs on the android auto infotainment system and gives a silent audio stream priority., while allowing normal use. The only change I'd like to see would be when an incoming notification sound pauses the audio it doesn't restart on its own now, maybe add an option to only allow resume current audio source.
