It's been 2 wks. The problem still persists. The app has become completely useless. If there indeed is an issue with the app, it should've been fixed by now. I suspect problems much deeper. Perhaps this is a scam. They're not going to deliver on what they promised to those who paid for the service. I have 3 hushed numbers, bought at different times, for family members. None of them work now. Shameless, they took the money but feel no obligation towards fulfilling their end of the bargain.
Reviews for Hushed: US Second Phone Number
This app is a rip off. Don't, I repeat DON'T!!!! make a payment. Your number gets deleted after a few days regardless. I subscribed for a year on it worth about $60 and I suddenly got locked out, tried to get back in and it says my account doesn't exist. Tried the password recovery, was told I'll get an email which I haven't seen up till now. If you have the money to waste though you can try it out
Update: I just noticed that the issue of not being able to purchase my subscription is coming from Play Store not from hushed. I have used this application in the past and it works perfectly well. The unlimited plan is the best. I was able to cancel my subscription before with no problem, however, if I have issues with canceling my subscription this time, I will come back and give a bad review. Overall everything's looking good.
No Free Trial. I refuse to automatically buy a subscription to something I have no idea about.. Unsubscribe. Regarding the developers comment: There was no option for free trial. It gave, I believe three or four different Purchase options. I could not proceed without purchasing. So, your previous statement saying there is a free trial available.. But it's obtained by some secret, random tactic.. Nope. If you offer a few trial, it should be available Upfront and WITHOUT jumping through hoops..
Mostly meh, be wary of the "lifetime" offer (it is only 6 months after you use it last). I wasted $24 on that. It never really rang to my phone, despite changing every setting possible in Android. Probably it would have been better to just pay for a reputable company (Skype, et al) rather than this second rate attempt at VOIP
Really disappointing. I use this for my business (I like to keep my personal number private) and I've lost out on a few clients due to Hushed never sending me notifications that I've gotten a text. I even periodically check the app, and no new texts will show. But hours, sometimes DAYS later they pop up with the date it was supposed to send. This has happened three times now, at this point I'm looking for another app.
Free 3 day trial number option advertised on your website isn't offered when you download the app, create an account, and try getting a number. I wanted to try the app using its features freely (as advertised) before I commit to a plan or buying pay as you go credits (which only last a specific number of days) that I either will not use all of or end up paying through the nose to add credits to continue. Also can't choose number really, pick area code, then get random list of #s that look spam-y
I chose the Hushed service after doing a bunch of research. I usually expect to try an app and then throw it away. Most are trash to start with. However, the Hush app is solid and straightforward. It does what it is supposed to - create a second number, make and receive calls, and communicate via text. All of that works fine and it looks good doing it. I have no problems with the app notifying me properly. I receive texts and calls without a hitch. Recommended.
THIS APP IS A FRAUD. I first started using this app in September, I made use of the free 3 days trial and then on the 30th of September, they charged my card for the monthly fee, few hours later the app said I have lost my number and in order to reactivate it I would pay more money. I sent a complaint and it was restored almost instantly. I became paranoid about this app since then, I've been making calls sending texts and also receiving them untill today, it just up and deactivated my account.
The service worked for like a week, until I had to purchase a yearly plan (which I did). At that point, I couldn't make or receive calls. I contacted support and they kindly offered to cancel the subscription...without solving the issue. I continued to insist for them to solve the issue so that I didn't lose the number, and go back to paying the service...yet they preferred to cancel than solving the issue...STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM
