App version 2.8.0: Connecting to Igloohome Smart Keybox 3 with latest firmware is not possible as guest but works fine as host. This means sharing bluetooth keys is not an option. I have tested this on multiple Android devices with same result. Support has been informed about it as well. Update from support: This is expected behaviour from a jailbroken device.

Why do not allow the old app version (able to detect power level etc) to remain for old customers until the physical door lock is beyond repair. Furthermore, customer service not able to locate my records email when need help. :-(
Works for me! The only thing that I would suggest is that the new access key screen be made more intuitive. I created a new permanent pin awhile back. Even now it says "sync to update status". I thought every time I unlocked with the app, it automatically synced access? It's a bit confusing.
The Deadbolt 2S was an easy install for a DIY person - I already had a deadbolt and this fit without any mods to the the door, except having to drill one small hole and Igloohome included the bit! I like that it uses Bluetooth app on your phone and not the less secure WiFi. You can unlock it with the keypad code that you set (and you can setup temp ones for workers, etc. The app on your phone has the history), the free app on your phone is a easy download/install. From my phone I can unlock it from about 25-30' and you get physical keys. Another cool feature is that from the inside, you can engage the deadbolt and then by pushing a button, disable the outside keypad. What the heck is going on with this app!? Been working smooth as glass for years now and all of a sudden the app keeps on crashing. Why isn't this issue fixed already??? Very unhappy as we need reley on this app to remotely setup a lock code for our guests. ** UPDATE ** With some prompt online assistance from Clyde, I was instructed to uninstall then reinstall my app. Logged in, and all issues were magically resolved! As account stores the info and not the app, no settings or history was lost.
The functionality is marred with bugs which tender this product nearly useless if you're integrated with Airbnb. Even after numerous attempts to notify them, they continue to ignore the improvements needed. And I have a lot of units, so this is a very costly mistake I don't make again. Don't buy.
The app is easy to use, clean, intuitive and very useful. I have two devices, the padlock and the lockbox. These and anynother igloohome devices are managed through the one app, so it makes managing different devices in different properties extremely convenient. The devices, however, are sturdier and more secure than others I have used. But what convinced me to write a review (hardly ever do it) and to privide a 5-star one is the company's tech support, which is absolutely amazing.
Own Lockbox 3, app keeps on asking for a update but error keeps showing and won't connect. Lost my Bluetooth connection capabilities -Update 2/9/21 I reached out via email. This time around they gave me a solution they had to erase my lock from my account and I had to do a hard reset, after that everything is back to normal. 3 stars for customer service not coming up with this solution before hand
Try to support local industry as much as possible but this doesn't make the cut. Had changed 2 locks in 2+ years. Worked fine initially but broke down recently. Contacted support and after diagnosing problem, was told my model is obsolete and no spares is available. Was told my only option is to purchase a "new, improved" model. Guess it's better to change to a more established and reliable make.
Ap is a problem. Does not work about 50% of the time. Recycle power to phone no improvement. Deleted Ap and reinstalled and it works for a while. Don't really care about the Ap, but you need it to set up the lock and change the default combination. Igloo tech support was not much help they wanted me to delete my device within the Ap and that didn't work either.
it has worked well for me so far on the integration to Air bnb even without the hub it was working well. one change I'd ask for is with the connection to air bnb it would be nice if you could have the option to not send an automated code for an upcoming booking. some bookings I prefer to set their code to a simpler 4 digit one and I can't stop the Automated Message from sending the longer one. I'd also like to be able to have the ability to automated 4 digit codes though air bnb integration.
I don't understand why is there a need for timeout on the account login where if there is a concern regarding security, there is already biometric option to enable to secure the login further. Frustrating that every now and then we have to login to the app. App also requires internet to operate the lock. I find that is not necessary.
I have one Keybox 3 and two Keybox 2's. Generally speaking I love them! However, l have noticed lately that the logs are inaccurate - this is incredibly troublesome when I need to be sure my renters are using my spaces only for the time they've paid for. It would also be incredibly helpful to be able to issue Duration PINs more specifically than on the hour.
The uncle who helped us to install the lock is very friendly and helpful in teaching us how to use and also what each object does. He is also very professional in his workmanship. Love how the lock look on our door. The app works ok. But recently, I cannot even open the app anymore. It would crash upon start up. Solved it by uninstalling and reinstalling it again.
It's easy to use however I would like to see a live chat in the app. I had to go to their website for the live chat. The live chat was easy and they responded quickly and were very helpful.
The lock is just fine. First one changed within 1 year because battery leaking. Changed with newer version still ok for the last 4 years. On the other hand, the app is bad. Can't even sync or update firmware. Keep looking for lock without end. Didn't even know if working or not. Have to end the app everytime. Tried with iOS and Android both no luck updating or syncing.
24 hrs of use, so far not impressed. I've gotten false notifications that the door is unlocked. This is unsettling when you live alone. The notifications are persistent and can't be cleared without opening the app. I should not need to do that if the notification isn't critical. ie low battery. But I should have access to the data log of lock/unlock, without the need of being in "close proximity". That could be a safety factor.
Super friendly apps. I wish they build a widget, so i don't need to open app every single time. I installed deadbolt 2s. My family and friends love it very much. I encountered a problem to login a few days ago, i dropped an email to their Support Team for help. I received a prompt response from Vee F from the support team within 10mnt in Sunday! It provides details& instructions on how to deal with my problem and s/he monitored until few days later to ensure the problem not reoccurring. Kudos!!
When it works, it's great. I can open my door maybe 20% of the time with no issues. Otherwise, I am "making sure my Bluetooth is on" or "refreshing my logs" even though I just did it, or sitting on a loading screen.
Customer Service was very helpful. I bought this thinking it was new, but it had been set up by someone and then returned. So when I got the lockbox I was unable to use it at all. Called customer service and they were able to execute a process so I could get the lock under my app for me. Relatively painless once all was said and done!
