Reviews for iGO Navigation

Installed this apps in my android phone a week ago and set for lorry to used as my back up on my Lorry Nav if it fails but I am disappointed as it will take me to height and weight restrictions when I tried it. Checking again the settings and tried the EASY route for Lorry but still the same. This is a waste of money. Don't buy this apps not recommended for lorry. Maybe for cars will do but better to use Google maps to save your money...

Not single thing work as it should! It's not user friendly and DO NOT buy it at all, especially truckers. HERE we go is way better for cars and this navigation WILL navigate you through restriction as a truck driver so, basicaly it doesn't matter if you are 30 or 7 tons. The worst thing is 2D UI.. It has an option for 3D but it's about 10 degrees tilted, so basicaly still 2D. Give a bit more money and get sygic or tomtom, this one doesn't work.. Today is 5 months since last update.. 5 MONTHS!

App is visually appealing however it consistently gives routes that are longer, slower, more complicated than any other app. For example, a trip from Sacramento to San Jose. iGo gives a route that is 2 hours and 45 minutes where 3 other apps gives a shorter route that is 2 hours and 8 minutes. The app also does not search your contacts to retrieve an address, so you have to look it up, remember or write it down, and then switch to iGo and enter the address.

Recently I purcgased the paid version and it is unstable. Installed in internal memory. Latest android. All the time searching for GPS signal. When trying to download Premium geographic map package I get error message "an unexpected failure occured [102] ". All voices do not announce street name. Removed and reinstalled but did not fix any issue. Emailed developer and no response after 3 days. Now I'm seeking refund #iGo developer, have the decency to answer emails

Map updates are horrible in the last 2 years... free apps, where you don't even have to buy maps give you frequent updates and far more detailed maps... for a paid map package I would expect far more frequent map updates... latest Europe update is 2024 Q2!!! Once a great app, now just ruined by slow updates. Not recommended anymore.

I have used this system with a Chinese Satnav it worked very well, but this App is paid for only, it has a 168hr trial then you have to buy it. THIS IS ONLY NOTIFIED AFTER DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING AND GOING THROUGH THE WHOLE SETUP, EVEN THEN THERE'S NO PRICE. Probably because they are shy of showing you before, I expect it's overpriced then Obviously I uninstalled it,( I know how it works) because it's very misleading and not upfront.

Software issue on android and ios. It doesn't recognise higher spped limits i. e. 50, 60 and 70 mph. It shows the limit as the maximum speed set for that vehicle in settings.. If I revert to a car then it's OK but I want the lorry settings that have worked before very well for me over the last 8 years. Cannot send email to help centre either

I installed this app on a Android car radio and had to buy the maps and TSS packets to try it out. First of all the voice guidence does not work. It works two times and then the guidence is so soft you can't hear it and the radio sound is off too. I complaint about it but it gets blamed on the radio. If it is the radio why does it work with other navi apps? Secondly the maps are old and the 3D does not work but you have to pay for it. It is bad that you can't install the extra files that you have to buy on a sd card. I asked for a refund or they must sort out the problem. My advice is that there are better apps that you can use. I did open a ticket and now I got a mail that said the problem is resolved and I must rate them. Nothing is resolved and I can't even find the case number on the site. I can't get into my account. Very bad service and site. I am waiting now for three weeks for a refund and don't get any response from IGO. I don't think I will get my money back from them. My only advice to people is stay away from these people!!

Appears to be abandonware, repeated requests for support have had no response. Phone broke so I tried to install on a new phone but all my maps are unavailable. Used to be a good offline map app, but not any more Update, managed to get old phone working well enough to delete maps. Suddenly new phone is able to install maps... Just have to hope new phone doesn't break. Still no response from support

I purchased everything I needed back in 2023 only to find out the map in the Philippines is very outdated. Very lazy company for not updating the maps. It's the same map in 2025. Very far from Google and Waze. I'm just very disappointed for wasting my money. Yes there's a trial period yet I gave them a chance that they probably will eventually update the maps from time to time but no. They're lazy and they just want the money.

You can easily get lost with the app.One of the roads was under construction and the app was forcing me to go back to the same road over and over again.I don't want to go again on the same road. I want a new route. And guess what? The new routes were leading to the same road again. I drove more than 8km and the app is still forcing me. Its kinda annoying. Even some of the streets are missing. 1 roundabout and 1 boulevard were missing even with the newest updated maps. Sry but I'm not satisfied.

I hate this app for various reasons. I can't put the full post code, when I reach the first number my keypad disappear and I keep trying to recall it to keep putting the rest of the postcode. Also, I have to choose from several streets names to narrow the address. This is outright cumbersome to say the least. When I try to reselect the postcode to put a space for the next group of digits, I can't see the spacer and also it minimises the keypad, adding to the already frustrated input. It also keeps making these beeps for no reason like if it is stuck in something. It has not got street name announcements. WAZE has and it is FREE. I will try its navigation features as I have a full day truck driving but not sure if it would be a keeper.

Excellent route planning, but out of date maps and when you buy the maps you have to pay extra for speed cameras and extra for the online traffic function. At least the online function should be included in the price. You are greedy considering you use older, cheaper, maps. I was told that the out of date maps were not their responsibility as they bought them from another company and I should contact them. So if a part fails on my new car I am supposed to contact the part manufacturer and not the car maker..pfff.

I live in Sydney/Australia and got this app to help me navigate through the rush hour traffic. For some reason, Google Maps is not working properly on my in-dash unit. IGO user interface is good and the software runs quite fast and stable. The problem I have is the route planning itself. The route planned is less than optimal, the suggestions are sometimes not feasible at all, like, for example, right turn into a busy traffic just before a red light. When I ignore the route and drive the route I choose myself (local knowledge) the navigation pops a message "Arrival time is sooner due to change in traffic!" The route planning method is "fast". I am giving only two stars because of this as I bought the app based on the built in traffic congestion information. For me, it simply doesn't serve the purpose, money is wasted.

I just wanted to have a WORKING offline navigation app. It was good for the first hour but then it suddenly dropped the GPS signal leaving me in the city (suburban area, no tall buildings to block the signal) clueless where to go. I am using the very same phone for 2 years and this never happened before with other navigation apps. I had to pull over and restart my phone (not just the app) to get the navigation work again. I not recommend to use this app, unless if you like to get lost randomly.

The product is great, the support is as bad as it gets. I have iGO installed on 2 Android car radio head units. I just purchased the second unit one week ago. I tried to pay for the product but was only offered the Free 7 Day Trial. I downloaded the Free Trial and tried to pay for it after the download. I could not find any way to purchase. I sent an email to NaviExtras, the support team for iGO. It took 3 days to get a response, Useless! iGO failed in a motel parking lot.

I've been using iGO and predecessors for 10 years now on dedicated GPS navigators, and I had hoped to get something similar for my phone. But the user interface is bizarre and hard to understand, and there is no documentation. As if that wasn't bad enough, the maps download didn't work. After 18 hours no data at all had been transferred. In that time I installed multiple other apps, so it wasn't a network issue. iGO, you can do better than that.

Please make it work on Android Auto. And add fidelity to mapping. When you travel in a camping van it's nice to be able to notice a road beside a river, perhaps 2 or 3 km off route, to stop and have a coffee or lunch break. The current mapping view is very bland when navigating, most roads beside the navigation route vanish, frequently rivers, ponds, lakes are not really shown, only the route shows.

I downloaded the app on my phone and bought the Europe Navigation Package years ago. A few months ago I downloaded it on another Android device in my car. Everything was ok but I had to reset the device in my car and now when I download the app I can only use the 30 days trial version. I would like to use the full version in my car too. Please advise. Thank you! Update: after updating the maps it doesn't work at all. I am really disappointed. It's a shame because for decades iGO was best.

The app works but it doesn't show the latest traffic like Waze and it doesn't show the most recent speed camera locations. I have purchased the traffic package, North America package, 3D package and pretty much any package for North America. Also you don't get alerted about the speed and red light cameras like Waze does. You only get a visual alert, not a voice alert that there is a speed camera up ahead like Waze does. It works if you you're in a cellular dead zone, so that's a plus
