Description
Been using impcat for a couple months now. It’s basically a simulator where you can paint realistic-looking miniatures on your phone. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of stuff.
Here’s what you do: you pick from a bunch of pre-made mini models, then you can paint them with different colors. And there’s also a bunch of color palettes to choose from, which is pretty cool. And you can mess with the lighting and shading to make your mini look super realistic – took me a while to figure that part out but it’s really useful.
Look, if you’re into painting miniatures, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the selection of models is a bit limited – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to get into mini painting without the mess.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on impcat. I've tested a bunch of mini painting apps and this one's pretty solid. The four-step painting process makes it easy to get great results, and the built-in color palettes are super helpful. I also like how you can customize the lighting and shading. On the downside, the model selection is a bit limited, and some of the features can be tricky to figure out at first. But overall, it's a great app for practicing your mini painting skills.
