I’ve been using the IMVU: Social Chat & Avatar app for a couple months now. It’s basically a virtual world where you can create your own 3D avatar and hang out with friends. Pretty cool if you’re into that sort of thing.
The main thing you do is customize your avatar – there’s like 60 million different items you can use to make it totally unique. Then you can join chat rooms, go on virtual dates, and party with other people. It’s got a bunch of social features that make it easy to meet new folks and stay connected with your friends.
Look, if you’re into social apps and virtual worlds, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever and the ads can get annoying – but overall it does a pretty solid job of letting you live out your avatar life. Worth checking out if that’s your thing.
