Reviews for Indeed Job Search

The app didn't meet my standards nor needs. I wanted to be a Kroger courtesy clerk, but there was no way of finding a courtesy clerk job available in my location. Distance filter was ridiculous. I couldn't get it to work at all. I found out it was completely inaccurate and people have been complaining about it. It only relies on geological location based on Wi-Fi, so cannot use this app. I will have to use the Kroger careers website because it's much more reliable. Here's Advice: Don't use it.

I've used indeed for years finding jobs. I find it easier to use then LinkedIn personally. the resume builder is pretty nice if you want to get something put together and it doesn't cost money for it. I've tried LinkedIn but it feels to much like Facebook to me and seems more convoluted. overall I think indeed is definitely one of, if not the best job search engines out there.

I literally have gotten my last few jobs through this app, over the past 5-10 years!!!! Hands down, the best, easiest, more reliable, convenient, successful app for everything and anything career, job, work-related. Plus they have tons of articles, career guides, resume reviews/help/templates; help with cover letters; virtual workshops, some free training courses, you can check out and compare salaries for different jobs and see what you SHOULD be making on average, etc. I LOVE INDEED! 😍❤️

I have been using this app for years. I have gotten a lot of great jobs through here, I will say that the ratings does help. Some of the jobs and careers have terrible management but I ask that those whom have got a job through here to rate them. Other than that, most applications are fairly easy to use and BEWARE of false companies or jobs who send you messages without apply They are not real and usually want a certain amount of interviews to fill a quota. To conclude, great app and usage!

Very easy to use and customizable based on your certifications or qualifications. You can message the employer after applying and see when it was read, which is easier than playing phone tag all week. I feel like I'm always seeing the same jobs available though, not sure if it needs an update ir there just aren't many openings right now.

The ease of use and access amongst employers and candidates is magnificent. This free service is better than the paid services out there. I had not used Indeed for years and came back to it with all of my information intact. All I had to do was update my resume' and my newfound job experience was instantly available for employers to see. In fact, I started getting matches for my profile same day. If you are wondering if you need indeed...Indeed you do!

There are definitely room for improvement, but uh, for efficiency for both a recruiter or a candidate. This is the site, everyone knows it. It works smoothly with most platforms. When you're onboarding, it's an easy efficient way that being said, I do know there are better platforms that work better. For each individual employment group, and if you're really dedicated to finding a great job, sometimes you have to go and look for those. And if you're really wanting a great employee 😉

The search filters work a fraction of the time. The app is flooded with jobs that contain inaccurate information, reports on this are completely ignored. The ability to hide job listings based on specific details is advertised but does not actually work. The listings still show up, but with a tag that says "we will stop showing these to you" which is a blatant lie, because they still flood the results.

Zero excuses for not having a tech support phone number or email. No, posting a few articles about clearing cache and trying a different browser is not the same thing. Website and app have both been completely unusable due to 403 errors for multiple years, and the company clearly has no intention to even collect data on the issue, let alone fix it.

Three years of using this app and still jobless; If I didn't have disability and family to fall back on, I would be homeless and dead. App doesn't save your info, often adds random skills to your profile, filters don't work in the slightest. Twenty minutes of filling out the same forms over and over again only to be redirected to external sites and fill out the same info AGAIN. I've been reached out to twice for interviews and was immediately stood up with false promises of more interviews.

I enjoy the convenience of being able to upload my information over filling in application over application and only worrying about messages coming from one place. however I do not find that it is accommodating for disabled people. I cannot stand for long periods of time and there is no option to filter out jobs that require heavy activity.

Indeed is the best job hunting resource I have ever used. And I am an old guy. Still able the find good-paying jobs, as I hold Level A water and wastewater licenses in my state. The Indeed pay filter helps because you can filter out jobs that don't pay well. This is a great feature. Also, if a job does not list the pay, I don't even look at it. No pay listing means they don't pay well. The option to let all employers see your resume helps. I have had jobs offered to me from all over.

Honestly, from years ago to now, they have consistently updated and changed this website, all of which have been improvements that have honestly made it better, though I wish they were not getting rid of their proficiency quizzes. As an employer and now also looking for work, I appreciated these scores being available, and it was another level of knowing who actually wanted the job, and who did not. Otherwise, no complaints and honestly...good job. Thank you for this platform, Indeed!

Terrible experience. It's easy to use and navigate. Searching is based on an algorithm that just does not work. You can put you have 0 of certian qualifications but jobs requiring them will still show up. Also needs a feature that allows you to filter in or out jobs for 18+ I'm a minor and 90% of jobs I fond I can't apply for because they require you to be 18+ which would be a problem if I wasn't 17 looking for my 1st job.

So I just opened up indeed after being gone for awhile and had to update my information. The option to upload a resume is there but we can no longer edit the resume we upload to indeed. So if my resume is old, which it is, I have to find a way to edit that information, save it, then upload the new resume to indeed. It was much more convenient before.

I missed an interview because of this app. It scheduled me for a video interview from 3-3:30, and the entire time it would not work. I used the link from my email and it sat there "loading" for over 30 minutes. I tried using the notification on the app itself and it kept saying "Something went wrong. Try to refresh, if that doesn't work, report the issue." I pressed "refresh" and got nothing. I tried reporting it and still got nothing.

I wish it would save my preferences. I set it to 5 miles distance, it shows a few jobs, but then doesn't save that distance and defaults back to 25 miles away the second I exit out of one job to apply to another. It also shows jobs that I don't have the experience for, and that are not in my field or related to what I searched up. I rarely hear back from jobs, and I'm starting to think most of them are made up to keep the app active.

I don't know what happened during the latest"bug fix", but it did nothing but cause frustrating issues. None of the job links that I am sent daily via email, take me to the job. Once clicked, I get sent to the app, only to receive the message "something went wrong". And before you start, clearing all of the caches + everything else, has not resolved this issue. This only started happening over the last few days.

Easy to use! Very helpful with applying to positions. Suggestions on how to improve your resume. Reviews from others about different positions at different companies helps me decide if the certain company is a good fit for me or not. The app and browser version are both super easy to navigate. Simple design & intuitive so even a newbie on technology could figure each one out without needing any help. You can also see the jobs you've applied for & keep up with who has contacted you or who hasn't.

Indeed is excellent for long term job searches. The ease of application with a lot of jobs is incredible and I love how simple they make it. They are not perfect with matching you with jobs and if you don't change your preferences in your profile, they won't help in your search as much even if you put it in the search bar. otherwise, amazing. they've helped me get at least 2 jobs.
