Amazing app! No issues & no ads. I've been using the free version for over a year and it's been very useful for organizing items and outfits, fun to use, and has helped a lot to know what I actually wear & use. This has helped save A LOT of time figuring out what to wear before going out anywhere. It doesn't limit how many items you can add or outfits you can create. I've been recommending this app, and will be worth it to upgrade.
Reviews for Indyx: Wardrobe & Outfit App
← Back to Indyx: Wardrobe & Outfit AppI stopped telling myself that I had nothing to pair with Item 'A' or 'B'. This is the holy grail for organizing your fits and wardrobe, styling, and keeping track of your purchases. Love the articles too! I took out a star because we need an option to export our data to Drive/Cloud. There's also the premium exclusivity of switching to a 'birds-eye view' display of your wardrobe, which sucks for us phone users... 😓 Not sure for tab users, but the tiles do overwhelm you.
The design is soooo cute for this app and it's so straightforward. I had to delete though because it seems like you can only upload one item of clothing at a time. I have over 300 photos so that will be hard! It would be nice if it could also automatically suggest tags for items.lile brand, color, category, etc.
Has potential, but lacking some stuff. Very aesthetically pleasing and helpful as someone who ends up buying multiple similar items Some stuff that would make it great: -ability to add single items from your closet to a day on the calendar rather than having to build the whole outfit first -bulk add items to closet/bulk edit -let me skip adding brand and size -closet stats: #items per brand, color distribution, etc -let us see more than just the featured users in the connect tab
i love the idea of this app and have used a couple features but the upload process is SO. BAD. seriously, one at a time?? other closet apps let you upload your items in bulk, and then go back and add details. indyx make you scroll through your gallery, pick one item, upload, enter details. open your gallery again, scroll down through your images to find next in line, rinse and repeat 100+ times. ain't no way im doing that lol
I've been using Indyx for 5 months, and I adore it! It's intuitive and clean-looking. The background remover tool works beautifully, and they keep adding features. Indyx has turned getting dressed from a stress-inducing chore into something enjoyable. It's saved me so much time, because I can plan my outfits in advance instead of standing in front of my closest and panicking. It saves me money because I can easily see what I have so I don't buy duplicates, and I can shop my closet anytime!
Edited 1/1/25: I'm finally getting around to using the new version of this app, and it is MUCH better. Love how easy it is to add items, love all the built-in statistic trackers, love the calendar outfit tracker function. It's detailed and useful in ways I didn't know I needed. I'll be using this app going forward to curb impulse buying and shop my closet. Really no complaints at all, fun to use, an immense improvement from a couple years ago.
Loving this app so far. I've catalogued most of my clothes and it was very easy. Putting together outfits reminds me of playing with paper dolls growing up. :-) (Yes, I'm old!) One feature I'd love to see is a search feature in the outfits where I could search for all the outfits that include a specific item. Looking forward to more features in the future!
this app is very easy to use, but it does take some commitment to get your pictures uploaded to populate your "virtual" closet. once I did that, it become a useful app that I interact with daily. some apps that constantly ask you to upgrade from the free version, but not this one. the idea of shopping your closet instead of buy, buy, buy is a very nice change of pace. I really appreciate it and have recommended it to friends and family
Was a great app because it gave you so many analytics and was free! But now you have to pay $5 per month for a feature that was free when I started using it months ago. And the worst part is that they marketed the change saying "everything that was free before will stay free, and the $5 is for new features only." The analytics were the whole reason I started using this app, to track my spending/items and second hand v not clothing. Very disappointing!
I've been really enjoying this app. However, they have recently made the decision to paywall a feature that had previously been free (uploading selfies/photos of your outfit). Honestly, this has made me reconsider the app altogether. I may have otherwise purchased the service they were rolling out, but paywalling features that have otherwise been free up until now is pretty underhanded. Makes me wonder what features they may pull a similar move on down the line.
This was a great app while it was useable. I like that it automatically removes backgrounds and that you can add your friends. However, I got a new phone & it won't let me login directly in the app, it wants me to use a link it sends to my email, but the link never works. I've contacted them about this problem, and they never got back to me.
This app is really great so far! There's just a few "quality of life" features I feel are missing. I hope one day to see the option to create your own categories/sub-categories (eg. ability to specify short sleeve/long sleeve crops, etc), and the ability to filter search by sub-categories, that way I can search for blouses, or t shirts, not all tops at once. I'd also like to see more cool colors added. All my maroon clothes are split between red and pink. But it runs well and is very helpful!
I really enjoy using this app so far. It is already helping me to see what I own and play with my clothes more! I love the calendar feature and I've been having fun making outfits. I am trying The Feed service, and already very impressed with the outfits the stylist came up with! An improvement I would like to see is to search by subcategory. For example, it's a hassle to scroll through all of the jewelry, when I would prefer to just see rings, or earrings, etc.
Love it! I recommend it to all of my friends. I've put some outfits together I might’ve not tried otherwise. This app makes it a lot easier to visual things. I like that to input the items, you can you use saved pictures or your camera, and that it automatically removes the background. I also like the style quiz. Keep up the great work with this app!
I downloaded the app before a big move. Seeing what I wear often and what I rarely wear helped me decide to donate certain things and what definitely was coming with me when it came to pack. Having a catalogue of my clothes also helps me make fewer impulse purchases, because I can check beforehand if I either own something similar or don't own things to wear with it. The app takes a bit to set up, but is worth it. It's expensive to have someone style you, but I'd like to eventually.
I love the concept of the app and the core actions I can take as a user on a free plan but there are a few improvements they could make. The navigation confuses me when I navigate away from my digital wardrobe. It feels counterintuitive to click on the large logo in the middle of the bottom navigation. My mind thinks of the left most tab on every single app as the 'home' screen. Adding an item feels tedious and too manual. I wish the fields were more dynamic with auto complete or suggestions.
I'm in the process of both honing my personal style and trying to break the habit of buying new things and this app is perfect for that. Love the way it automatically cuts out the item of clothing from whatever picture you take so it's super clear. The ability to create outfits and capsule wardrobes also made packing for an upcoming trip the easiest it's ever been in my life. Basic functions are free but I have a paid subscription because I like the analytics. Absolutely worth it.
My favorite closet app! I love being able to add unlimited clothes to my closet without the sub, but I think it's worth it for the extra features! There's so much room for customization, and it's easy to explore your own clothes and create wishlists, packing lists, and save my inspo in one place. It made me love my clothes again postpartum
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY, THIS APP NEEDS AN UNDO BUTTON. When making outfits, there needs to be a button to undo something, because I am constantly accidentally clicking and moving something I didn't mean to click. "Locking" it in place is not helpful, because items still move forward if clicked on, even when locked. You should also be able to manually adjust the background erasing when adding items or selfies.
