f this app. what is this? I wish they added 0 stars every time I draw it gets ruined. Fix ur horrendous, hideous and glitchy pens when I draw it's always half erased but it's perfect for some people What is wrong with ur app? You seriously need to update ur pens because the size always gets bigger every time I try to create an infinity thing
Reviews for Infinite Design
← Back to Infinite DesignIts hard to feel good about this app. If you're doing a small canvas without much detail, you should be fine. If you are using the app to infinitely draw on one canvas, like myself, you can draw and draw about 3 big zooms in, then starts to slow down. But thats manageable. Biggest issue I've found is the fact you try to use the fill tool too often then it suddenly freezes and you cant use it ever again on the canvas. Other than that... ok
lines disappearing. it's a fun little app but I don't recommend doing anything professionally on here. each time I save my project and come back to it there's always a line missing in multiple places.
Both design and painter are landmark tools. do not let the low price or deceptively uncluttered interface fool you. I am using these products on numerous national commissions and they just produce amazing looking work with very little learning or fuss. I reckon you could be up and running with either tool with a good understanding of what's hidden under the hood within an hour, rather than the days or weeks it would take to reach comparable competency in any of the adobe stuff. 10/10
Very good application for vector draving. Unfortunately I do not have a device with proper stylus, but it is easy to create and modify a concept. There are enough brushes and settings. Save and export is also possible and quite easy to do. Application is stable and functional for years now.
I have done some artwork twice now, and everytime I save layers get deleted. I tried putting out word in the community as well, no answer. I have the paid version. Why is this happening? Can I retrieve what's lost? If this continues I will have to look for another drawing app. Please suggest.
I love the app. So far it's doing everything I want. The only thing I've found that makes me not want to use it is that sometimes my layers just blank out. So I lose ALL the work I did on that layer and sometimes it does it to all my layers. sometimes the app crashes when I try to select and "transform" things. Most of the time I'm pretty sure it's because of the amount of things I'm trying to transform but sometimes it just does it randomly.
great app overall. I love being able to export to svg and continue edits as needed on my laptop in other programs. this is my mobile goto sketchpad. I would like to request resetting the tilt of an object or textbook. sometimes I widen the textbook and accidentally tilt it along the way and it is annoying to try to line it back up to 0 degrees. I have to eyeball it or draw a rectangle use that as a straightedge reference.
After some zooming out or inside, everything becomes unbearably pixelated or completely invisible. Don't let this app take up precious storage on your phone. Also I do not understand what the heck can Android not copy from an iOS app, I have one reason to buy an *pple product now.
My experience using the app wasn't the best. It seems to be infinite and has most tools I want in a drawing app. My issue is about every minute or so the app glitches causing me to be unable to draw anymore. The only way for me to fix this glitch is to close the app, reopen it, and lose a bit of progress.
it's hilarious how bad this thing is even after paying. like, if i have shape detection on and it detects the shape, the damn thing disappears. i draw again, the same thing. until I turn on display outline and i see all the outlines of shapes i cant actually see in painting. how the hell am i supposed continue the drawing if I can't see half the things I've drawn ?
Ok, i wrote a great review of Painter but this one is a bit of let down. A strong vector app for sure, and it could be the best if it wasnt so infuriatingly buggy. Ive never had a session that didnt crash, hell i dont think i've ever finished anything truly complicated due to its stability. Great feature set, excellent flow and of course free is buried under crashing, corrupted projects and import/export problems. Truth is it feels like they've given up. I dunno.
I was REALLY hoping this app would be a sufficient "Mobile App" substitute for Adobe Illustrator (my preferred vector design program on desktop) and it couldn't be further away from it. The "pen" tool is awful. Handles are impossible to revise. You can't add additional or removed extra anchor points from a path/shape. The UI is incredibly disorganized and clunky. Stylis shortcuts don't work. I've emailed support 4 times in the past 21 days with no response. Don't waste your money on this ap
I adore this app's tools and interface, enough that I bought all the tools. It has only one major flaw: random lock-ups. In the regular or beta versions, it will randomly stop working. The menus function, but the tools, undo and redo, saving, etc. all freeze. Luckily, the autosave is usually within one or two actions from the crash, so I can swipe it away, reopen, and continue working. I with this issue were fixed, because if it were, it would hands-down be the single best draw app on mobile.
I think this is a very good vector app. Not sure if it's a limitation to the SVG file format or the app itself, but when I export simple line drawings to Illustrator in SVG, the lines are not treated as paths and cannot be edited as such. If it's an app limitation, I hope it gets corrected--often times I like to take my line drawings and re-work the shapes in Illustrator and it's hard to do that in this current version.
I think it is fantastic, and that it has the potential to surpass Adobe Illustrator from a logo and art perspective. It's amazing! There are a few issues though, such as crashing while using the edit tool on lines and a weird glitch where you can't see the change in an editted line until you zoom away from it? I've gotten over it and adapted, but it's so close to perfection! Please fix these bugs, you developers have a great thing going here.
This app has a lot of potential but it is EXTREMELY buggy. For those experiencing issues with union, you may simply not be hitting the check and it may not be registering. So keep doing it til it registers. In terms of features...it just doesn't work on the founding principles most vector art does like you would expect. Even when you combine/union shapes, big gaps will appear, etc. It's not a bad app for $8, and it does have some nice features but they don't work consistently the same way.
"Hey let me automatically enroll you on our 5 day free trial!" "What's that? You just opened the app to see how it looks and don't have time to try out all the features in the alloted time we gave you? Well tough luck brother!" "Enjoy the one layer and extremely limited functionality with the free version!" By taking away the user's choice on when the trial starts, inadvertently you keep users like me from finding out if paying for this is even worth it. Good job.
It was a great app because it had an infinite canvas, but it also had a lasso tool and a color gradient lasso tool, the latter I loved and I used to make 3D looking art. but one day it just stopped being gradient, and it functioned like the regular lasso, and no matter what device or how much I deleted or uninstalled, nothing was working. I even bought a gradient from the shop, and it didn't work unless I had the essential subscription, and it didn't even let me use the gradient! pls fix lasso
Once your trial is over all you can do is use one layer, only a few pens/pencils, and no tools. I recommend using Sketchbook by Autodesk as it is completely free, has many more tools, and a huge library of brushes to choose from. In my opinion this is not worth only a fraction of an outstanding free program (sorry dev, but it's true). Thanks for reading c:
