Reviews for INKR — Comics, Manga, Webtoons

I used their old app manga rock which was great. This one needs a bunch of work to the library system. It needs to be easier to find manga in categories, last updated, most popular, etc. As of now its all a long scroll of short lists that is really annoying. Also the manga covers are so large you can barely see any. Would also like to see subscriptions be a major tab to navigate to, as having that and sorting it by last updated is the easiest way to keep reading the manga you like.

"Browse by genre" needs more genres. And I'd prefer if we could browse multiple genres at the same time (e.g. maybe I want to read a romance that also contains action and fantasy). Purchasing coins should also be easier accessible, not just from locked chapters if you don't have any more coins. I don't like that free preview chapters come with ads, ruins the experience. And stop censoring comics that were originally mature, it's annoying. This could be a great app, but it still needs more work.

I'll just give a quick take on it, it's now just like any other reading apps, you need to involuntarily pay to read which I understand but you guys built your reputation on it being free so I don't know about this. Well, if you guys have a lot of money to spare, go for it, but for us casual readers who just spend time reading in our free times, it's not worth it since the payment method is a subscription on a single one FOR A MONTH. So thread carefully.

I'm honestly sad about giving it this rating. This app has things that i like and a lot that i don't. The interface has nice stuff, like being able to know what's coming out, and the reader is really comfortable. However, the subscription service really cuts this app down, is not for the fact that you have to pay. is just not worth it for what's there to see. Not taking in account that some stuff is block by coins anyway. Maybe if they have a chapter unlock weekly free, or daily log in coins, idk

I got this immediately because I loved MangaRock. I liie the reader and the organization. I dropped a subscription and thought I was good to go. Until I realized they were still throttling my ability to read different titles. Could only read a couple chapters per day and then it would either not show fhe next chapter, or put it behind a button leading to some sort of payment method. I already paid the requested sub price. Sorely disappointed. Cancelled my membership .

I was a fan of MR and when you guys decided to go legit I was on board, but the new app has almost no selection at all and what is there.... not to mention poorly organised. To top it all off I have to pay for the subscription AND for coins to unlock chapters on certain comics? I don't care about paying subscription fee, that's fair, but double dipping is a no-go for me. Uninstalling.

I don't understand how exactly this app runs. You removed the system where ink can be traded for coins for non-premium users which is so unfair. On top of that, one needs to pay for chapters even after subscribing? Unnecessarily complicated. Just keep a subscription model and ads for coins for non-subscribers. It'll make both those who can pay for comics and those who can't, happy. Also, the app consumes too much data, please include a data saving mode.

Nice layout, easy to use app. However, ads AND pretty much making it pay only? I wouldn't mind if it was just ads and pay a premium to get rid of ads, but that's pretty ridiculous. Yes there's INK points you can use for coins but the cheapest coin pack being 1000 INK and only getting 10 INK for an ad, pretty much 100 ads for each chapter. As nice as this app is the cost of using it makes it not worth it. TLDR I'd be happier buying hard copies.

I used to love their older version, Manga Rocks. But I didnt mind paying to subscribe for this one. I wouldn't have rated a 1 but their customer support sucks. Charged me for a month worth of subscription but I can only received 2 weeks worth. Their support is unhelpful. The app itself is hard to navigate through. Wish it was easier to filter and look for Mangas.

I am here from the beta app. They changed this from free to pay-to-read. Not only that, the chapters that we ready for free in beta are locked and can ONLY be unlocked with a subscription. There doesn't seem to be any titles that have a daily or weekly free chapter unlock. No thanks. Uninstalling until it gets improved. Line WEBTOONS is a much better option and they know what they're doing.

Although it's still a work in progress, I've been a fan of Manga Rock for ages and am really looking forward to the development of this app. More than that, their platform encouraged me to stop ripping off free manga and anime. Edit: Wow, new manga are really flooding in! There are some big titles popping up. Also, a lot of people mentioned that there are more charges even after you've bought the subscription, but I've never encountered that?

Really great app! However I have issues with the coins feature, such as buying coins and using them to unlock stories. This is because lately for me it just takes the coins and doesn't unlock them or if I go back to an unlocked chapter at a different time it won't keep the chapter unlocked. It troubles me because I've paid for the coins to unlock the chapters but it ends up not fulfilling the purpose and seems to waste money.

Purchased INKR Extra specifically for one title (Ogus's Law) out of nowhere and more than 100 chapters in the translation quality absolutely tanked. Horrible localized names, bad typesetting, filler words left in bubbles, stilted dialogue, you name it! Absolutely zero quality control. I'll be spending my money on a different app thanks.

Have had the app since beta. Currently there isn't alot of non subscription manga, but it is still one of the best designed platforms I have seen. my review is staying 3 star till there is more content and a few QOL things like better search option, information on how the manga releases are going to be from now on and a visible indicator of how long till a chapter goes to the free section

I've had this app downloaded since beta, and I've avoided judging it till now because of how much I enjoyed manga rock. But it's time. This app is terrible. The selection of comics is disappointing, but the real problem is the instability. It makes you download another update to fix crashing issues, but I cant even get half way through one chapter of a comic before it crashes. Every time I try to read. It's just a disappointment, especially when you compare it to manga rock.

This app is incredible hard to navigate. There's no ability to search alphabetically (like a list of all comics), which should be a no-brainer for any comic app, and there are so few genres available that searching by genre is rarely helpful. I'm sure that the catalogue will expand as time goes on, so that isn't a problem. The problem is that when it does, I won't be able to find anything.

Never runs smoothly and loads slow. The web version is much smoother to use and navigate. Also in the app there's almost always ads that cut off at least one panel of each comic. It's very frustrating. There is a good selection of comics, although sometimes errors in translation (grateful for translations and the translators though) can make it a little hard to understand what's going on in story progression.

I use the extensive version of the app. I currently use 3-5 apps to read paid comics and this one is one of the better ones in terms of translation quality. If you read a lot of comics on this platform, definitely get the subscription. The offline reading and free chapters is a huge plus in my book. I'm stopping my subscription on one of the other apps because they don't provide offline reading for their premium free content.

It is what it is. I got an email for my former MangaRock account, with some sort of deal for Coins and Ink, which I have not received yet. The library is vastly different from what it was at the time with MangaRock. I get it, this is a new, legitimate app/site. The library is far too small compared to what it was though. The sensitivity is all over the place as well. Things barely move or fly around whenever I try to navigate. PocketComics, Tappytoon, and others are better, for now at least.

Disappointing. Apparently defines "niche comics" as "offbrand disney comics and a handful of original stories". They claim to have popular titles, and have maybe a dozen, if that. Some categories are completely empty, which leaves one wondering why they even bother to include them at this point. Everything costs $. I got this after getting an email from Manga Rock - by far the best manga app I ever had. Sad to say, this is nowhere near a match. I give two stars for the "read later" capability.
