Needs a dark mode especially since a lot of phones have Oled screens. And also, add the ability to map the Samsung S-pen button to keyboard keys (Ex. Single press=hold ctrl, double press=hold shift, click and hold=pan the screen)
Reviews for Inky - Run Inkscape on Android
← Back to Inky - Run Inkscape on AndroidAfter Intel tep 3 dots on floating menu. Set to simulated touchpad to make this usable on a phone (or use a mouse). It's nice in a pinch.
I love inkscape on my computer. I bought this for my Fold6, figuring it would be big enough. It is WAY too small... really sad ..
could not import files so is useless on a phone
I use Inkscape a lot and it's a wonderful tool, but Inky is awful. User interface is desktop-like and hard to work with, and most of the time the app won't even open because of a "connection error".
Incredibly disappointed. Was looking forward to having inkscape on my phone to work on the go. After paying and installing the app, it won't work at all. I have a Samsung Note 20 Ultra.
This is a Debian virtual machine. It launches the inkscape desktop program when the inky app connects via vnc. Inky isn't intended to be used on a device with a small screen. I'm running it on a Samsung Galaxy fold 4 and it works. My only complaint is it installed with inkscape 0.93 when the latest is 1.2.
Downloaded for my phone, it's horrible. It's got a feel of an emulator running Windows xp, hard to navigate on a small screen, virtually impossible to use on an android phone. Got the cost refunded. But won't get my time trying to use it back.
The app looks to be a direct port over from Linux. I was able to make icons larger; unfortunately, the system text does not respond, making it difficult for the user interface. If the ability to change the text size to reflect system size or ability to expand it.
Absolutely silly. the greatest common reoccurrence with most recent apps developed and especially the AI prompts are without a doubt, as proclaimed by the issuer, faulty. i do not understand the force driving the individual who knows well enough which apps are just not meant for a mobile cellular battery/device. battery/ device lacks the key ingredient being capacitance
Ugh...almost had it all. It's impotp operate from a phone. Too many commands and symbols to use on a small screen. I wish I could have used it because I desperately wish I could create SVG with my phone, or edit content I've already created to become SVG for other apps.
It works perfectly though it wish it had the more recent dark Inkscape UI.
This is a port from PC and isn't meant to be used on your phone. I thought it was going to be android ready. It also doesn't launch, it keeps bringing launch errors and worked only once after attempting to download for minutes. I also don't know why no one has reviewed it yet out of 1000 paid downloads.
Well as soon as I opened the app it was a disappointment because it isn't any good on a smartphone you would need a microscope to see the drawing let alone the toolbar, it may possibly work on an Android tablet but not a smart phone ,it would be nice if they pointed this out before you paid for the app for me it isn't even worth one star
Inkscape ia free online but I oqidn₹190 to download the app, thats ok but this is not an app version for mobile, it opens like the desktop version in a miniatute size and once you zoom it you see white screen you have to move like this to get to the menu and when you open a file from your phone nothing happens, total waste of money and effort not at all useful
I've desperately wanted a good vector editor on Android for years, something 'Inkscapey.' I'm flabbergasted to get it. Yes, it's an ancient version, and requires figuring out an even more precise finger ballet to use the ui, while simultaneously trying to draw. Takes some getting used to. I've managed to draw, move, and size a filled rectangle on a 6" screen so far, but I've also opened some fairly complicated Inkscape drawings (331 objects) that are 5 years old, and they render perfectly. .flab
I bought it because I want to view a bin .WMF since viewed with Collabra. It crashed the first time but launched and ran the next day I tried it. Need to learn how to use it. It works but is unusable on my oppo. some the controls like cancel get hidden behind the curve of the screen corners. I find I cannot move and size the app to access the file menu for example . may try it on my tablet
Unusable as mobile app!!! I've used Inkscape on my laptop to do some vector graphics. The phone "app" is basically a tiny desktop display that is impossible to use on a mobile phone screen. Menu text is miniscule and it's extremely difficult to zoom in on the menus, the image, anything. I struggled to draw and colour a circle and have pretty much given up on being able to generate anything. I'll try again but I don't think it's worth the 89p I paid. I wanted a phone app, usable on a phone!
excellent app saving files fixed in new update easy 5 starts again. and definitely the most useful app I have on my phone.
I've been using Inky on my Stylus 2023 without any issues, but since switching to the Motorola Razr and Stylus 2024, I've encountered some problems. The app shows my folders, but the files inside are never visible. As a paid app, I would appreciate it if the development team could address these issues soon, as it's been several months without a resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
