I’ve been using the Insta360 app for a couple months now. It’s basically a companion app for Insta360 cameras that lets you edit your footage right on your phone. Pretty solid if you’re into action sports or just creating cool videos in general.

Here’s what you can do – there’s all these automatic editing tools that use AI to reframe your clips, add music, and make your videos look pro. And the manual editing features are really in-depth too – you can tweak everything from color to speed. The Shot Lab has a ton of templates and effects to play with as well. It’s got a bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it, the editing process is super smooth.

Look, if you’re into action cams or just making videos on the go, you’ll probably dig this app. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a bit confusing at first and the AI doesn’t always nail the edits. But overall, it’s a really powerful tool to have in your pocket.

So here's my take on the Insta360 app. I've tried a bunch of different video editing apps and this one is up there with the best. And the automatic editing tools make it super easy to turn your footage into shareable videos, and the manual controls give you a ton of flexibility if you want to get in and fine-tune things. It's not as beginner-friendly as something like iMovie, but for action camera users or anyone who does a lot of mobile video editing, this is a really solid option. The only downsides are the learning curve and the AI not always nailing the edits, but overall I'd say it's worth checking out if you're into that kind of thing.
