Reviews for Instabridge: WiFi Hotspot Map

I don't like this app every since I downloaded it nothing has worked right on my phone, and sure it gives you the password to any WI-FI as long as your close to it. but I yet to have gotten any one of them to work and know I try to Delete it and it doesn't Delete I'm very frustrated with it.i would not encourage anyone to use it.

this app sucks. the ads they have you watch for data doesn't give you the data. I've had problems with it. it changes your location to another country. for example it says I'm in Poland when I'm in the US. I would not recommend spending money on this app because it will slow your phone. it is annoying and overall just a bad company. and it takes their customer service forever to respond.

The ad spamming to the extreme makes it unusable. Ads were sometimes manipulative in nature (suggesting your phone storage was full when it's not etc.). I accept that when I use a free app I may have to deal with some ads but having the same video ad pop up with every navigation in the app is too much. Also why does it want to replace my launcher??? That makes me uncomfortable. Uninstalling.

it's getting better, but I'm still Leary. It's Very Pushy, persistent, nagging to be Default Everything which is Highly Annoying, Intrusive, and Coercive in my seasoned opinion after having and uninstalling prob 6x. I'm trying to let go and give it the reigns THIS ONE TIME to see if that's the KEY (?) to a much more positive experience. I was unwilling to do that before, but there has to be a way for it to be more User Friendly to have the kind of following it carries with it. post more later.

Another intrusive and very misleading app. It seems that someone else also has the same app on their device for this to be of any use. Another issue is they try to trick you into clicking on an ad that looks like the app you downloaded but instead it's a fake ad. You get greeted with this as soon as the app open. If you're not looking hard enough you won't see the little X in the top right corner to click on and close the false ad. This is a very deceptive app and I have already uninstalled it.

Sometimes works. However, alot of the nearby Wi-Fi's, they always state that they 'rarely' are successful in connecting... Could be better, and with time and more downloads and participation, I'm sure it will be. But currently, all-in-all,... I'd say it's alittle above average in functionality and performance. Thanx again...

In a pinch, it is okay if you can connect to wifi that's close. But it messes up the whole format on your phone. Moving your apps, home page, everything is discombobulated. Do not like it. When a call comes in, you can't just answer it. It does something weird. Can't really recall at the moment because I un-installed it a while ago. Oh, good luck un-installing it too. What a headache.

Disappointing & useless application. I have given this app a shot on three occasions when I didn't have a data plan to rely on. Tons of notifications and no results. Of the few passwords that might be plugged in mostar out of date. it never ever actually comes through with getting you on a Wi-Fi that you wouldn't have been able to otherwise. Don't bother.

DONT FALL FOR IT!!! DON'T DOWNLOAD IT. After I read the reviews I got excited and I really thought that this would give me free mobile data. I have a strong Network and it took 2 days to download a esim, turns out it wasn't an easy thing at all it was just acting as a virus to intrude my phone. It took me 3 hours to find out a way to get rid of the app and it didn't even let me delete it. I was not able to delete it I had to reset my system settings just to uninstall the app.

I'm really disappointed, it was unnecessary to have it take over my home screen. It mostly just listed businesses with free Wi-Fi access that my phone already had saved. There was a few hotspots I have never seen, but it said none of them were near where I live so this app was useless. I think my device couldn't use the required esim card feature either; which wasn't advertised in the ad and to get more local Wi-Fi data you have to pay, which is the opposite of what their advertising promised!

So many pop-ups and ads, even when going to the Settings screen, that trying to even find a wifi network is almost impossible. Then it lists WiFi networks that are not even remotely close, like networks I've used in other states are listed as available. Complete trash just to scam you of you're limited data to show you ads while you try to find Wifi. I'd give it negative stars if I could, complete waste of your time, unless you enjoy ads and not WiFi.

I'm trying to build a WiFi phone to leave in the car. Something that, if I forget my phone or it's disabled for some reason, I can pull into a parking lot, find a hotspot, and make a call or send a text. And this exposes the glaring defect in Instabridge (and the many other WiFi finding apps that I've tried). They don't work without a data connection. When I say "work", I mean they do function somewhat, but not enough to be useful. For example, you can download a list of WiFi hotspots in your area. But, you can't browse them or look at them on a map unless you are online. The app does show you a short list of hotspots in your area that you can connect to for free, but unless you are online, it only shows what's in range of your WiFi, which is like finding a needle in a haystack. It'd be nice to show you, while OFFLINE, which WiFi hotspots were in your immediate area, even if your device couldn't detect them at the time, so you can drive or walk to them and connect. Worse, I couldn't get the list to refresh without restarting the app. I drove to the next town 3 miles over and the short list of hotspots from the town I'd just left was still displayed on the main screen, and it was still trying to connect to them. Which in some sense defeats the purpose. If you don't have data, you need this app to find a data connection, but it doesn't work without a data connection. So, it's probably great if you have really limited data, but enough to run the app. Outside of that, I don't understand the appeal.

trash. the few times that there was a hotspot nearby the passwords did not work. it never fails, one time out of about 40 I found a hotspot nearby. so rarely is it even usable, if it even had valid passwords. don't waste your time. more often than not you will find guest access around town where you don't need a service like this. are there going to do is fill you full of ads anyways. make you learn how to navigate around in their program.

The app plots WiFi locations, but nearly all of them are locked down. Of the open locations, most either don't work (if you dig for more info), or haven't been used in a long time. The only working WiFi I found was through trial and error, on my own. This app may be useful in Europe as it appears the primary user base is there, but in the US, it's worthless.

Most disturbing app I've ever used. The "wifi" comes with a search engine and etc. that takes over your phone without any permissions. It's like a virus. An ad is shown before search results. Before granting access to other apps, and when phone is not in use. Even after manually denying access. I couldn't even remove the app right away once I realized I no longer wanted the application in my phone.

I never saw so many ads in my life pop up after downloading this and then it wouldn't allow you to uninstall easily. Had to stop use the hard way....ugh!!!! Whatever you do, do not set it as your default. It just wants your money to buy an adstopper. Ugh, had a horrible experience. It did do what it said, did find wifi spots and show locations and even gave you passwords...but that's all the good it did. Not worth the bombardment of ads.

A good concept, but to actually have it work must take a voodoo spell. I attempted to use over three days with no luck, and uninstalled it. I am still in need of wifi to text or call, so I downloaded it again. After a week of attempted use, I can make honest review. It takes no less than 3 minutes for it to pull the signals, all of which will say they rarely connect. You go to another location, it doesn't reset & will show the prev location's signals. Altogether a waste.

This app is completely garbage. I couldn’t even fully explore it because a pop-up appeared every few seconds. On top of that, when you download it, two extra apps are installed without your consent. I didn’t even get a chance to test the password feature because another ad kept popping up. I also hate that it constantly tries to set itself as the primary launcher, and I have to keep hitting “close.” To remove ads, they want you to pay a ridiculous $95 a year.

I just think this App is great no need for a second or third one to do stuff later for things to finish up later on my great phone . Like wifi Internet for all that anyone can do with a cellphone. Well making calls, keeping plans with alarms,on day to day schedule dates and times but helps with free time and makes use of all you can do too . But the best . Never run out of data and even if you downloaded free or pay a minimum balance a month .Mines nobody else is better at it. I'll stay. ANGs

I have to say, I'm impressed. I did not believe it would do as stated. I found myself without phone service or internet, gave the app a shot, and after following some steps and watching a few ads, I was online! The ad watching is not that big a deal considering the fact that you are getting online for free! I feel ad watching in this case is a fair deal. It helped me out of the frustrating problem of not being able to go online. I recommend 100%
