I actually didn't want anything other than a proper apology after my last order was so mishandled. Instead you doubled down and said that this was normal to not receive more than half of your order. What is the point of ordering food only to have the person doing the pickup decide not to use their eyes or even better their voice and ask for things they don't know the location of. I was able to find the majority of the items within 30 minutes of when they said they were unavailable. Laughable.
Reviews for Instacart: Get Food Delivery
← Back to Instacart: Get Food DeliveryLots of problems and very difficult to get help. Customer service AI is absolutely useless and never understands the issue being described. Contacted the customer service line and all the representative did was direct me back to the app. ** The restaurant side of the app doesn't have an option to contact customer service, says options not available in my area.
Buyer beware!! I was charged twice... almost 60 for an ID check. They said it would be refunded and LIED!! I had to call my credit card issuer to fix it. NEVER add any type of alcohol to your order and always check your receipt. the shopper's receipt is usually 20% cheaper for items. I'm not even talking about service fees or the tip, just the straight items. Several grocery stores are working on their own delivery apps. PLEASE look into them instead for better customer service.
I have had so many frustrating experiences on this app. a lot of it isn't even the shoppers fault. This last time was the end for me and I cried for 2 hours because of it. I can't explain everything because there's a character limit. The order malfunctioned and I spent hours trying to get it to work. they customer support people were nice but they could only help to refund the order without paying a cancellation fee. it caught me on a really bad day too, so I am deleting the app.
overall the app is pretty easy to use. if there was anything I'd change it would be to have items categorized the same way those items would be in the store. keeping it more organized and helpful. I myself find most things I need by aisle and when I go to the app im all over the place. yes they are listed by items and those like it but it isnt always easy to sort through the app in order to find exactly what you need without either searching specifically or coming across it from a previous orde
It's a decent app. But not 100% reliable. I had to cancel 2 target orders because nobody picked up the order. But yet customer help said somebody did. That was a lie. So I opted for Giant Eagle that was more reliable. So yeah the app works great and saves shopping in stores. but the shoppers need to be more responsive to customers orders and not make them wait over 2 hours to receive the order. Shopping typically takes 30 minutes to an hour depending on how many people are ahead of you.
Was a great app until you could only get free delivery with Instacart Plus. I still had two orders that I was supposed to get free shipping on due to being a new member and now suddenly I can't do that. I will be deleting it and refusing to use it because of this. I'll go to the store to get my groceries, I won't pay extra for shipping in this economy.
App used to be great for groceries, not any more. Yesterday I ordered about 40$ worth of groceries to make dinner, paid extra for Express so it would get delivered within 2 hours. Not only did my groceries get delivered 2 hours late, I was also charged twice 2 different amounts. So my 40$ groceries turned into 90$. Don't waste your time or money
I have used Instacart Restaurants via Uber Eats twice. Both times my order was sent to a branch of the chain restaurant located 40 minutes from me, despite closer locations available. Both times a refund was denied. I had to call the restaurant and they had to call to cancel the order for me to get a refund. The restaurant knows it's too far. The restaurant location is only visible well after placing your order, unless you navigate to an unlabeled menu on the restaurant page.
instacart service is top notch or they make it right. Instacart has recently added an in store tab to Aldi's. It appears that this has created problems, since the current flyer sale items (that started today) are nowhere to be found with the exception of 4 fresh fruits and vegetables. All of the other finds - meats, cheeses, German specialty items this week, etc are not even on the app. Instead, it is still showing what is remaining of last weeks' items. I am very disappointed.
Always an issue with billing.... I am trying to my multiple credits but for some reason they keep charging my credit card and leaving a few credits behind. Hopefully your order doesn't need substituting, because that really messes up the using of credits. At least a refund (in credits) was easy when my produce arrived visibly moldy or rotten. I wish they had reimbursed my credit card instead though - I don't want more stupid credits! My order should have been free, including fees and tip, but no
I've ordered groceries through here a few times and they never seem to get it right. Forget trying to buy produce they will pick the wrong items and they will be nearly rotten. I've also tried using the $25 off coupon for restaurant orders that they keep advertising. It is impossible to place an order, I've even tried restarting my phone and trying different restaurants. The orders will not go through. Then I reached out to customer service and they told me that they cannot help me. It's a scam
Absolutely god awful, was fine once, now you can't get anything on there without the price being raised 20 times over. I recommend it if you're actually rich Edit: Forgot to mention they decided they were done delivering food within a few hours. Now you either pay extra to have them delivered normally, or pay double the extra amount to have it be delivered quickly. If you want that part to be free you can schedule for tomorrow, it doesn't matter, it's still sickingly expensive. Just go shopping
Search function is busted. Shoppers consistently deliver to the wrong address. I've even received orders meant for other people, not just had my own orders misplaced. There needs to be more of a way to make sure shoppers drop off orders at the correct place. As it stands, I'm paying a monthly fee to get a slight discount on orders I rarely actually get.
Beware! I have tried to reach support and work through ordering issues multiple times. Each time they have told me a different way that they cannot help me. They have told me they can link a new account but without my Instacart+ offers (which make restaurants affordable), that I can verify my number in a month after my subscription expires, and that, because I was able to place one order, I am not eligible for a refund. Run, fast and far.
Only order from this app because of the limited options for grocery delivery apps. App is manipulative, it will say an item is in stock when you purchase it and check out and then say the item is no longer in stock. They manipulate you into making a purchase you would not have made had you known whether they had an item on hand or not. Wish there was an alternative.
Before Instacart offered free delivery. Now, in order to force Instacart+ on people, you have to pay anywhere from $1.99 to $9.99 depending on how fast you need the items delivered; absolutely awful. Plus, shoppers don't know how to say thank you. A $25 tip isn't enough? Do you want $1,000? Items shown as in stock are often marked as not available & alternatives ignored. What a joke Instacart has become.
They give coupon codes, but then you can't ever use them. Again, I got a promo code for $40 off $80 IF I PICK UP. Somehow, there is never anyone available to make a pick up order, so they tell you to make it delivery. Well, then I pay extra and have to tip someone, and don't get the money off. I dont know why they keep advertising pick up if the stores around me don't offer it.
I have been using the Instacart app for a little while now, and I really enjoy it. The app is very easy to use, you do pay more for some items than you would in the store, but that is the cost of convience. 9/11/24 UPDATE: I recently notice that when I order heavy items the female shoppers will mark them as not available, even when the item is available. I feel like some of them don't want to lift the heavy items. I'm ready to stop using instacart. I wish I could choose male shopper for my order
The delivery times you see before placing your order are nothing but bait and switch. After you submit, your window is changed and you have no proof of what you were originally shown unless you happened to screenshot it. I was shown a small window if I paid extra for priority, so I did. once I placed the order, the delivery window doubled in length and I watched as my shopper worked on additional orders with mine which resulted in all of my frozen items melted. Customer Service was useless.
