Reviews for InTolerApp: Histamine & FODMAP

This app has been a lifesaver, seriously. Recently found out in some unspectacular ways that I have a histamine intolerance and had to change my diet pretty quickly. This app has made the transition a lot easier. The app developer Jonah is also very responsive and that goes a long way to how great this app is. If you are dealing with a food allergy issue this is a great way to help you along.

Exactly what I needed to make managing my intolerances easy. Just scan the barcode of any item or the ingredients list and you'll know in the blink of an eye if you can have it or not. Working perfectly on items here in the UK.

A great app with a very nice developer. The functionality is top notch, you can set up your allergens with full granularity and it looks great too. I will be using it to select/shop cooking ingredients, because my girlfriend has several sensitivities and it's difficult to keep track of "good" ingredients when you aren't directly affected. Thanks Jonah for making this app!

I follow a vegetarian diet, and this is so so helpful. Questioning whether something is okay to eat or not will never have to happen again. I can scan something and have the information I need quickly. I've tried at least 10 apps, and this one is by far the best. It has detailed instructions, and it's so easy to use. I never leave reviews, but I love this so much, and I'm so thankful to Jonah for the awesome app.

Conflicting information on some ingredients, scanner picks up junk eg 'gluten-free' as gluten, 'nut-free' as nut etc. which is common on Australiam labels. Barcode scanner useless in Australia, which isn't surprising and could be forgiven if the ingredient scanner worked well. Great concept and I hope it can be made to work with Australian labels, but in its current form it's not useful at all.

The word NUTRITION triggers NUT warning in ingredient scanner thus rendering EVERY scan Not Compatible. I just can't tolerate this! It's such an obvious error. I didn't bother looking for other but nothing I scanned including water gave a compatible result. At this rate, I'll die. Can't justify paid version unless this improves greatly.

I have a few food intolerances that came on in my mid-forties. So I went looking for an app that would give me some guidance with food choices. After going through about 5 ( the Monash recommend app is garbage) of them I happened upon this one. I put in my preferences and so far none of the foods have caused me issues. Would HIGHLY recommend!!

🛑 "In-app purchases" means a 100% pay wall to even use the app AT ALL. "Free app" immediately hits you with an ad that feels like a natural part of the setup steps until you get to "pay $10 to unlock the pro version." OK... Annoying and misleading, but dismiss and finally get to USING the app.... now search for something you're going to eat.... you see a lock icon 🔒. Click it or the filter or anything else and... "Click here to start the pro trial for 7 days, then pay $10." 😮‍💨👎

This app works so well for managing dietary issues. I have to be on a low histamine diet and it makes grocery shopping so much longer. This app is really great and I love that I can see the history. Additionally it's really good if you have issues with specific foods/ingredients where you can specify how well you tolerate each thing and that gets factored into the overall decision. Fantastic app.
