Reviews for iPlum: 2nd Phone Number App

Does the job. I can save contacts and add notes. Easy to use. Service improved in the last year I've had this. Lots of settings and real discreet. For the the amount paid monthly, I'd say I pulled out ahead given the many uses I've got from this app.

Great and I hopefully it Stay on top of the performance

Out of all the VOIP calling & texting apps that are available (& I've tried em all), iPlum is the best wifi calling app there is hands down. I have only had slight issues & very few at that. When I first started using iPlum years ago I experienced a few dropped calls but like I say that was years ago. As of now I don't have that problem anymore. I haven't had a call drop for probably 2 years or so now. They also have an option to get great phone service without wifi. Great voip application.

I really liked iPlum the first few months . I liked the customer service they responded quickly to a problem I was having. I've tried other apps they start out good for the first 3 to 4 months few months and then stop working. I'm finding out that Plum is the same. When I try to send messages the app freezes up and will not send some of my messages. I'll keep it for another month to see if iPlum fixes the problem.

Half the time the messages don't send. i have to turn the phone off and back on to get them to send. Frequently it will take 2-3 restarts. I often get a message thst file is too large when i attach a photo (which I have previously sent on a regular SMS format text app). These errors occur with and without wifi turned on/connected. Frequently, i will not get a notification that an iPlum text has come in at all until i open iPlum and see it. Frustrating. It also stops unexpectedly.

Seems legit so far. I managed to get the lifetime number, but there doesn't seem to be any information as to whether the accompanying message/call allowances ever refresh, or once they're out it'll be up to me whether or not I top them up. For someone living Canada and US, such as myself, it's useful to have an Canada number and a home number in this way. Edit: Question answered, issue resolved. Good, speedy customer service. Score changed to 5 stars to reflect that.

iPlum has worked awesome for me. Was satisfied with this app it came in real handy when I didn't have service on my realize phone. I am a small business owner. iPlum makes it possible for me to stay connected to my customers at my store or on the go. I have not had one problem calling or texting. To be honest this has got to be the most surprising app... its easy to use, cost effective and I would be extremely disappointed if they let me down!

They don't tell you that you need to register to use texts until after you pay! I don't have a company yo register, this was for personal use and of course I can't ask for a refund because I paid through Google.

It is what they do not tell you that gets you. While they offer a credit system they get eaten up so rediculously fast. Update- they really are thieves. Paid for the month and they cancelled my service mid month with credits left without refund or ability to use the credits. Reached out to customer service for help but the will not reapond. Too bad. I Really wanted to like this service. Nice clean looking app.

App not updated to work with Oxygen 15 incoming calls do not make a full screen come up or use ringtone no matter how you configure it. I thought given the price iPlum would work better but it actually works worse on my phone than other apps which are much cheaper. :(

After trying several different similar apps, I actually ended up using iPlum for a while at first, the price was pretty good and I thought it wasn't bad. I ended up upgrading to iPlum when I changed domain names for my business website, it does cost slightly more, but for the features you get, and the MUCH more professional and easy to remember number I got assigned, it's so worth it.

This has to be one of the best if not the best second phone number app that I have ever used. I have never had a single problem with calls, the app itself, customer service or anything. Very good if you need a second number for people who ask for your phone number when they have no business having it: motels, paying bills by check, etc.

Pretty often, calls don't get pushed through. It's not an issue of internet connectivity or phone service, it's something with the app itself. I've changed phones and the same problems have persisted. It becomes frustrating when you hear the ping of a call coming through, but there's no ring or received call. Lately, these calls don't even show up in the "recents" log. It's become a major issue

Their support team sucks. They do get back to you in a timely manner but it's usually the same response saying something like, "figure it out yourself." I'm paying another $3 a month for text messages because they refused to help me fill out their form and it cost $15 a try! I'm an expat and only use this app to keep in touch with friends and family in the U.S. The app itself logs you out randomly so when you're logged out you do not receive texts or calls. The app interface also sucks.

Not reliable. App always gets the do not disturb text notifications backwards. During business hours I often get no notifications. During DND hours I get a big drop down notification for each text. So much for separating work and home life! No I didn’t program it wrong. It works correctly for calls. App also logs me out frequently. Another chance to miss calls and texts. HIPAA compliance only if both you and your client communicate w/ the app. Too unreliable for me to recommend to clients.

First call made I tried calling my office line. The app says it will ring an offsite Florida number and then it will forward to the dialed number. It rings through the app but the physical phone never rang. What the heck? To make matters worse they don't have a free trial. I paid the $5.99 monthly fee just to find out the app sucks.

Cheap and has all the features of calling, texting, and voicemails. However, the app often fails. For example, when I get a call, I can hear the iPlum app ring, but nothing popping up in order for me to answer the call. Some of my texts don't go through, so I always have to double-check and resend. A few times I've had the app answer the call on its own, very scary for privacy reasons. Contacted customer service about this last issue and they just said it's nothing on their end.

I think their staff has spent more time trying to get me to change reviews than providing me with tech support as a customer. They disliked one of my reviews so much they alluded to dropping my service. I switched to another service (was planning to do so ). I easily get notifications from the other service, a smoother interface and have unlimited secure texting. I felt like Iplum came with many hidden fees as well to get the same service other places will give you at a monthly rate.

Don't waste your money on this. The app freezes often, requiring restarting the phone. It drops calls and uses all the data from your cell phone plan. To boot, you can't cancel the plan --the instructions say there are choices that don't exist; I had to cancel my credit card payment, and was informed that there would be no refund of the unused service I had bought. On top of all that, there are no "live" customer assistants--all communication. is by text/email.
