Everything was great, until some user got mad that I wouldn't send him money and he reported me. I've been suspended & can't even create a new account....all because I didn't give some guy money.... I would not recommend this app. You can use it for years & the first time somebody reports you for something bogus- blacklisted. Is there a '0' star option??? There should be!
The app is decent compared to other similar apps. It's the best one right now. I've been using jackd for at least 10 years, and I have never had problems with using it. I've had the monthly subscription for about 2 years and love the filter options and unlimited blocking. the prostitutes should be banned, tho.
Not really a good app they make it easy to be harassed you literally have to purchase a subscription to be able to block people and that not ideal or sensible, and I just read the response.I know how to block a profile, you go to the profile itself.Hit the three dots in the options.You hit block and every time I hit block, it says you can only block a certain amount of people unless you purchase a subscription.I know exactly what i'm saying in this review
This honestly used to be the best gay dating app but now it's crazy with it's ads to the point you can't look at 2 profiles consecutively without an ad showing up or you can only swipe 5 times without the watching an ad message to see more profiles show up. While there is the option to pay to have the ads removed,that and the other features aren't worth the subscription. Also the app is really invested with bots to the point where 80 percent of messages are bots.
The app doesn't give accurate location distance. It would tell me someone is 2 miles away. when they are over one thousand miles away. And it would tell me someone is over 5 hundred miles away. When they are only 7 miles away. I don't know if this is a strategy to inspire users to pay for app, so it would work correctly. If it's not working correctly free, it doesn't inspire me to want to pay for a broken app
It's soo hard for me to keep an active account in my area. The guys are dry, never start conversations or even respond. So I'll just delete my account within an hour or two. Apparently that will result in your device being "suspended". If thats supposed to stop bots, which it doesn't, that makes no sense if I can easily verify myself with an email.I refuse to get a new phone just to use Jack'd. At least make users able to bypass the suspension period by verifying an email.
I enjoy the new look and feature additions but think adding on as many restrictions like, filtering out profiles with no pictures and amount of people you can block was a bad move. I do tend to have an incorrect location due to app bugs/ glitches so I'm getting messages from people everywhere but where I am. The locater is great to be able to see profiles out of state and even be as specific as looking up a profile name
Very dissatisfied with customer support. My profile photo was taken down because it was inappropriate even though it was just a shirtless shot and not a full nude. So now I can't upload any more photos. I've contacted support three times so I can upload pics again but nothing has been done. It's so unfair because other public photos on other profiles are much more revealing than my photo that was taken down. It's ridiculous.
The app is certainly good if you want to find hookups with people of color. Keep in mind that the demographics are middle-aged black men. If that's not what you're into, I recommend other apps. The app is also more known for hookups. As a 20-year-old, this is just not what I am looking for, but the three stars mainly come from the bugginess of the app. It certainly glitches more than similar apps like grindr.
New update will not allow me to update and save my profile! It's embarrassing. I keep getting "Unable to save profile. Email already in use." Well yes, you forced the update onto my phone without allowing me to log out and the new version of the app has no way to log out. I've contacted support twice, no response. I've cleared cache, app data, uninstalled and rebooted my device and I still get the same error message when attempting to save my profile.
