So here's my honest take on Jellyfin for Android TV. I've tested a bunch of media server apps and this one's pretty good. The interface is clean and intuitive, and I love being able to watch my own stuff instead of relying on streaming services. The Chromecast integration works well too. On the downside, the initial setup can be a pain if you're not familiar with media servers. And the Android TV app is still a little rough around the edges compared to the web version. But overall, it's a solid option if you want an open-source, privacy-focused way to manage your media library.

Description

Been using Jellyfin for Android TV for a couple months now. It’s basically a free, open-source media server that lets you stream all your music, movies, and photos to your devices. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kinda thing.

Here’s what you can do – you can watch live TV and recordings from your Jellyfin server, which is super handy. There’s also Chromecast support, so you can stream stuff to your TV. And it’s got a really nice, easy-to-use interface for browsing your whole media collection.

Look, if you’ve got a bunch of photos, videos, and music scattered across different devices, Jellyfin is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the setup process can be a bit tricky if you’re not tech-savvy – but overall it does the job of organizing all your media in one place.
