So here's my take on Job Search by ZipRecruiter. I've tested a bunch of job search apps and this one's definitely one of the better ones. The automatic job matching is the biggest plus - saves you tons of time scrolling through listings that aren't a fit. The one-tap apply is super handy too. On the downside, the notifications can get a little excessive if you're not careful with the settings. And the UI is decent but not the most polished out there. But overall, it's a pretty useful tool if you're serious about finding a new job. I'd recommend giving it a shot.

Pros

  • Automatic job matching saves a ton of time
  • One-tap apply makes it easy to submit applications
  • Covers a huge range of job boards and listings
  • Notifications keep you up-to-date on new openings

Cons

  • Notifications can get a little overwhelming if not managed
  • User interface is functional but not the most modern or sleek
  • Search filters could be more robust

Description

Been using Job Search by ZipRecruiter for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you find jobs you’re actually interested in, instead of just sifting through endless listings. Pretty solid if you’re on the hunt for a new gig.

Here’s how it works: you tell the app what kind of jobs you’re looking for – location, keywords, job titles, whatever. Then it does the searching for you across hundreds of job boards and automatically sends you alerts when there’s a good match. There’s also an easy one-tap apply feature which is super convenient. Took me a while to figure that part out but it’s useful.

Look, if you’re serious about finding a new job, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the notifications can get a little annoying sometimes – but overall it does a solid job of surfacing relevant openings. Worth checking out if the regular job hunt is wearing you down.

This app is terrible. Most jobs shown are irrelevant (example, I never worked in the medical field and it shows me LPN positions as a great match, and also shows...
