JustAnswer has a real AI, who rapidly understood my queries about a high end Lennox HVAC throwing an error code. The JA - AI quickly connected me with a specialist Lennox technician, who assessed the needs of the issue without hesitation or annoying "obvious" questions (yes, of course, the power cable is plugged in, the power is on, and the program disc is in the disc reader). Reid is the expert you hoped for when the phone tree ended, but didn't get. JustAnswer Just Made Phone Trees Obsolete.
Reviews for JustAnswer: Ask for help, 24/7
← Back to JustAnswer: Ask for help, 24/7terrible, they charge my credit card $142 it's been an hour and a half and have not yet talked to a veterinarian. I got a call back but there was no one on the other end of the line. and the line was open for over 2 minutes.
Fraudulent sign-up process: - The ad popped up while I was in a chat with Best Buy. I thought I was signing up for a Best Buy service. - I definitely agreed to a $5 charge, but I was not aware that I would be charged $40/month.
Extremely POOR Customer service and Billing! I signed up for their monthly plan back in June and it has been a Nightmare ever since! First they did not give me a specific date as to when I would be billed each month, and they Did Not remind me when the $60 would be charged to my card. Next, they Canceled my account without any notice and when I attempted to "Reactivate" via their website, I got a message to call their Customer Service number in which I have done more than once to no avail.
Like everyone else I feel I was deceived. I ordered delivery from a restaurant. They forgot an item. I called the restaurant they said I had to call Uber Eats to get the $1.50 refund. Went on the Uber Eats website filled out the information & next thing I know I'm charged $5 & then a $46 membership fee for a place called JustAnswer. So I paid $51 to try to recoup $1.50. When someone from JustAnswer called back, they told me to call Uber Eats. What the hell! I want my money back! Deceptive!
BEWARE OF CROOKS!!! I accidentally subscribed to this worthless app not once but twice. they put in very fine print a $5 fee then an additional amount in real tiny print just short of $50. they are uneless and do absolutely nothing for you. they took about $100 from a very poor person trying to get help online for $5 not $50!!!! twice! they use aliases too! Beware of this app this company preys on people looking for free help online and takes thier money 💰!
They tell you it's only $5 to join then charge you $55. $5 to join but $50 for a membership that you know nothing about. I read everything before I joined and not once did it mention the $50 membership fee. The person who finally answered was a big help but not worth the $50. If they had mentioned the $50 fee I never would have joined because ireally couldn't afford that. I know that may not seem like a lot but I literally lost my job a week ago and right now everything counts.
This app is a scam! it doesn't tell you that you are signing up for a subscription until you see a 40.00 charge on your account. I was suppose to be a one time fee of 2.00. they will charge you that plus a 40 dollar fee for a membership I didn't sign up for. you tell them to stop charging my card and the do it the day after you had left a message. this is stealing. there is no way to cancel easily on this app Hide it thinking you would give up and forget. bad app!!!!
Beware. They will automatically sign you up to their monthly membership program. I ended up paying for the one time service they gave me, plus 2 months' subscription fee. I ended up canceling luckily, but I can see others falling into the same trap and not realizing they've been signed up. So please make sure you don't subscribe to them! PS. The extra star is only because their specialist at least fixed my issue.
Very good, except the deception right off the rip was terrible, they ask for $1 to $5, to start, and what they don't tell you is that they also take $29.99 monthly subscription at the same time, it says fully refundable right where you approve the $5 but 20 minutes later when you check your bank account and find that you have been decieved and cancel your membership all of a sudden it's not refundable, deceptive billing watch how you approach this app
My issue was that they never mention the $29 membership fee that you have to pay on top of the $5 join fee. Thankfully the customer assistance was able to process a full refund in a VERY timely manner which is why I'm giving it at least 3 stars. Beyond that though, they need to make the membership information more accessible before the $5 join fee is processed. And from the looks of these reviews, I'm not the only one who feels this way.
Ripped off for the initial $5 one-time charge, and then they added an additional $30 immediately. No response initially, and when they did, it is condescending. Complained through the app and had to call my bank. Now I have battle to prevent being ripped off further. Cancel any time is a joke. Buyer beware!
The appraisers are fantastic and very helpful. The company is absolutely terrible. Their customer service reps hangout up or end chats when they don't know how to help. The website says unlimited questions but it's really like 17 in a month. If you use the services too much they banned your account and are a nightmare to get it set up again. If there was another option, I'd leave this company.
Thought I was just adding the app to talk to an appraiser easier. I had already paid to get my questions answered. They charged me a membership fee of $30. I wasn't told about it when loading the app. As soon as I knew what was happening I canceled it. So for less than 2hrs the info I received cost me $35. Oh, and no they couldn't answer my questions. Just Beware.
Deceiving, not what the cover seems to be at first look. You don't see anything that gives you a price upfront which is not alright in 'my opinion', and only mine. Why is there not a price associated with the provided and given advice by these professionals? Are people to assume that among somany other free apps provided that this one is going to cost a nominal monthly fee without ever giving a heads up that there might even be one or what? Maybe it's easier to not give them a choice!?!
Fees are very deceptive. Canceled that first day. I was having issues with my email and the "expert" they gave me was no help. The expert kept saying log into your email and I kept saying I can't it's deactivated. We went thru this 3 times before I gave up and realized he was no help. Still got charge $56 for maybe 10 minutes of use. Customer service was no help either trying to deal with their membership cancelation. I ended up having to cancel my debit card. Sketchy all around.
Should have read more reviews. My fault for that. But the shady marketing is on them. I joined with the $5 join fee and understood there was a monthly charge after the trial. They charged the $5 join fee and $46 membership fee within an hour of each other. When I reached out to rectify this, I was sent a link to the checkout page that shows the fine print at the bottom that says it will be charged at the same time. Even the wording of that is misleading though. Anyway, steer clear.
Do NOT give them your credit card! I too felt the upfront fee was deceptive, but I dealt with it. I tried to use the service as much as I could to get my monies worth, but after a few days I canceled. if the story ended there this might be a 3 star review. I canceled May 20 and got a text and emailing confirming. ao imagine my surprise when my card was charged again on June 17th! An hour later and they still refused to refund me and I had to call and cancel my card.
As others have said - you think you are paying an 'per question' fee but are automatically then subscribed and charged the monthly fee - you can cancel (when you notice this) but this is not easily navigated and the first monthly charge is non-refundable - speaking to customer services they simply send you a copy of the Ts & Cs which are not clear when you first use the app. I don't necessarily mind a subscription but then refund the 'pay per question' amount or deduct this from the subscription
the fees are super deceptive. I was told I was paying 5 dollars for the use of the service with absolutely no mention of an additional fee, let alone a recurring one. Then I check my account and I was charged over 50 dollars. I went ahead and reached out to customer service to see if they could help me out and they basically just told me it was too bad. Taking advantage of people looking for help is the worst buisness practice I've ever heard of and you should feel ashamed of yourself.
