Been using Kala: Learn Ukulele & Tuner for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you learn to play the ukulele, with a built-in tuner and lessons. Pretty solid if you’re trying to pick up the uke.
Here’s what you can do: there’s a tuner to get your uke in tune, a songbook with chords and tabs, and short video lessons covering the basics. It’s got a nice interface and the lessons are easy to follow, even if you’re a complete beginner like I was. And the tuner works really well – just pluck a string and it tells you if you’re in tune.
Look, if you’re into learning instruments, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the song selection is a bit limited and some of the lessons are a little dry. But overall it does the job of teaching you ukulele in a simple, step-by-step way. Worth checking out if you want to start playing uke.
