Reviews for Kalshi: Trade the Future

← Back to Kalshi: Trade the Future

I downloaded the app, tried to make a deposit, filled out required CC info and Billing addy and COULD NOT PROCEED Because The DONE Button Was Partially Obscured By The Billing Addy Overlay. I Could NOT Complete The Sign Up...... DELETING THE APP....USELESS... It's A Shame Because I Am REALLY INTERESTED IN THIS APP ☹️

I only downloaded this app to review it. What you call "trading" is actually betting and betting is addictive. This app should not be rated E for everyone, it should be at least 18+, if not 21+! Gambling laws should apply!

The app seems good so far. The main issue that I have is there isn't any biometrics options for logging in every time I close the app. It only prompts for biometric logins after a certain amount of time has gone by.

Having fun but for me it's super laggy and buggy. Lost $10 to the void when the app crashed as I was making a deposit. Not using the app again till this is fixed and I'm given my money in my portfolio.

great app - bad company governance. kalshi cannot justify their determination after several months of follow up. If the rules are so hard to interpret that a managerial escalation can't provide a simple response there's something potentially questionable about the standards or internal practices. I escalated my case to CFTC, waiting for a response

scammy af. keeps markets open well past when the contract says it should be closed to milk out more money and cash grab. the rules of the contract dont matter. I know this because they told me to read the rules. ive read them so many times I can only deduce its a scam and not to be trusted when those exact rules didnt apply and they drew their own conclusions 3 days after the event that should have closed the market in the first place.

seems ok. My device tends to lock up when using. This app would be more successful if they launched a paper trade tab... for the gamblers who don't know trading terms that's the equivalent to using fake coins on a casino app to test your luck before loading up cash for a pay game

Edit: I am able to deposit money now, the latest update (Aug 19) fixed it. App works well now. Will keep updating here. The latest update (Aug 14) has messed it up. Was working perfectly fine except for some minor UI issues here and there. Used debit card for previous deposits and it worked fine. Post the update, I'm unable to make any deposits using the same card. they keep saying its my bank that's blocking the transactions, but I have cross checked with them and its not their issue.

BEWARE! Awful app. When trying to withdrawal money, l was only given the option for an instant transfer and charged a fee; there is no charge for a slower bank transfer, but I wasn't given the option as the app kept bugging out. how convenient for kalshi. scam!

only way to deposit without having to pay a 2% fee everytime is via bank deposit. yet when you try to make a bank deposit and don't want Kalshi to have access to your entire banking account, mortgage info, loan details and transactions ( see that last checkbox); it somehow never seems to process correctly. tried multiple ways (cellular, over wifi) and always ends up at a 404 page... not worth it. I'll stick to DK and Fanduel.

Customer support is useless. I've had the "if it has been more than 24 hours since you submitted your application, please reach out to customer support" error for over a week. I gave them all the information they asked for and stopped responding to my requests for a follow up on what in the world they could possibly want from me now. Just use polymarket or predictit, this platform stinks.

I've had great luck with betting on this platform on an iPhone with no complaints. however. I recently switched to the Samsung Z Flip 7. logging back in is a breeze, but once I try to add my card to the app, the app crashes. I've cleared cache, I've Uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no success. Just wanted to make the developers and team aware of this issue.

Horrible experience. Customer service or support is trash because you can't get in touch with anybody. It wasn't a problem taking my deposit but now theirs a problem when I'm trying to withdrawal. Update- customer service or support is still horrible. I had to send them information which I thought was kind of weird just to be able to withdrawal my money. send the information over a week ago and still haven't heard anything. I don't advice anybody to download or use this app

Nice concept. There are some bugs in the app. Every time I want to transfer money in, it keeps telling me I have insufficient funds in my bank account even if I have money in there. I can only do $10 increment transfers. Also, it said I needed to invest $10 before I can refer anyone to app. I did then it said $3.95 more then $0.05 more then it said you have maxed out your referrals when it has never allowed me to refer anyone. Can someone please fix this? It's frustrating.

I've invested about $45k into Kalshi and I'm a primarily desktop and mobile user. The app is extremely unreliable and you can't trust something like that with such high stakes. Even small things like being unable to access your watchlist make it strictly inferior to using the website. To be fair, the website is glitchy as well, but not nearly as much. This is to say nothing of the customer service, but that's consistently bad across all platforms, but I rarely seek it out anymore.

not worth the extreme fees. also very difficult to add money. the worst part is how sometimes the odds will change as you place your orders. like for example, you want to buy something with 3% odds? the app will ask you to swipe up to confirm, and tell you the odds are 3%. then, once it goes though, it says you bought it at 4%! now you get significantly less money if you're correct. i understand that odds update constantly, but it should at least tell you that it updated and ask you to reconfirm

I like Kalshi on PC but I find the mobile app non intuitive and don't really find myself even wanting to mess around with it to figure it out because I find it almost to much trouble to be worth. I find trying to look at the order book on multiple contracts difficult to navigate to also. I see it was recently revamped , but again , I still find it too much trouble to bother with when I can just hop on the PC for a better experience in my opinion.

BEWARE of this app! Unable to withdraw! I tried countless times to withdraw my money when the app said a certain amount was available to withdraw. I kept getting errors saying "Something unexpected happened" and "Withdrawal failed". Contacted support but they eventually didn't reply. Lucky for them depositing still worked! Just invest your money instead

The app is fine but the fees are another story. A $24 taker fee on a $550 trade is more expensive than even options trading. I can make markets all day long but no taker wants to pay those fees. So the markets barely move unless the event is actually happening at the time which means it's hard to position for a trade in advance unless you are willing to pay high taker fees. Also, all these negative reviews about not being able to withdraw are starting to make me nervous. Hopefully no ponzi here.

Aww, what a shame. First, it apparently needs a lot of personal information, but you can skip that to browse. In doing so, I found several interesting wagers, but the app quickly began to slow. I tried a different area of the app, which was even slower. Soon after, the app crashed my phone. Full automatic hard restart. Just cleaned out over 5g of data too, so the app is definitely the cause. It generates a lot of revenue, what's the problem with the dev team? apple cultists?
