Been using Kanopy for a couple months now. It’s basically a free streaming service where you can watch all sorts of movies and documentaries. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you sign up with your library card and then you can browse through their huge catalog of films. There’s also a kids section with age-appropriate shows, which is pretty cool. And you can download titles to watch offline – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful.

Look, if you’re into watching high-quality films without paying a ton, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the selection can be a bit limited at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

So here's my honest take on Kanopy. I've tested a bunch of streaming apps and this one's pretty solid. The selection is great, with tons of festival award-winning movies, thought-provoking docs, and even The Criterion Collection. Quality-wise, the films look and sound amazing. The app itself is well-designed and easy to use. But it's not without its flaws - the catalog can feel a bit limited compared to the big players, and the download feature is kind of hidden. Overall though, I'd say it's a great free option if you're looking to expand your cinematic horizons.
