Reviews for Karrot: Buy & sell locally

Great app for selling, I like the extra security steps but..needs to be able to allow users to be logged in multiple places. For example I can't be logged in on my iPad and cellphone at the same time. and the app isn't iPad friendly

new phone # have to start over...all good luv the app and ability to make 2 km radius, have mobility issues. people so far after a few years have all been wonderful experiences. App is becoming more mainstream. prices are definitely going up, still best place to interact with neighborhood 😀

The minute I started using it, I searched and found a person practically down the street from where I live selling exactly the item I was looking for at a great price, and he had just posted it 6 hours earlier! What are the odds? This app that divides cities into districts and communities is pretty amazing!

I have been decluttering my home and I am so happy that I found Karrot. l have given away items and sold many brand new items that I had. I really love this app's AI feature that allows me to just take pictures and then it posts for me. There are all types of items available and some rare things. I am now decorating my home and making it perfect for me.

Karrot has been great so far. The only issue I have encountered is that people advertise a price and then ask a higher price then the add once we've in the chat. Do I report these individuals? It is very misleading, frustrating, and a wast of my time. I will put a five star once I receive a response to this issue. Thanks.

Hit and miss. I find that I get quite a bit of generated offers, but the few interactions I have had have been generally pleasant and efficient. Definitely need to work on the phony accounts

Perfect app to find deals, get rid of things that you Don't need but Want To Find a Better home for I would recommend it to Anyone. Super secure people are friendly, very easy to navigate the app. I need to get more people on this app. It's a really good app, better than facebook marketplace

Quality deals! app needs some refinement such that only the content on the title can be indexed and searched for items buyers looking for, else it'll become a sellers cess-pool at random, unrelated products listed by sellers that are unrelated to buyer inquiries. why is my searches automatically saved to be spamming me?! I've NEVER SAVED A SEARCH!!!

whenever someone texts me saying there interested in what I am selling after like the second message they just leave me on read and don't reply after they had said they were interested it's very annoying and not right will not be using this app anymore because I can't sell anything when I need to get rid of stuff because I am moving soon!

This app is ok! It doesn't have any bugs, crashes, or have any ads but what I don't actually like about the app is the sellers. The used items that they sell on Karrot are really expensive. You can literally buy new items on Amazon or Wayfair for the same price. It's ridiculous!

really easy to use and growing fast. uses AI to help create your ad, quick and easy to upload and can search by location, as well as specific items you're looking for. it's worth being verified. it has a built-in scanner that values your items for you.

I have purchased 2 items and both times dealt with kind people providing an excellent opportunity to receive something I desired at a great price! I have now completed a sale that went super smooth and truly liked that we were both verified, which adds a a more comfortable feel to the meet up. I am extremely happy that Karrot cares about both Sellers and Buyers. I still rate 5 stars and would give higher if existed!

garbage waste of time, I can say this since I have had an account on this app for over 1 year with active posts and all I got was a automated bot like chat that had people ask me if the item was still available even though I had It as an active post. And good luck getting a seller all low ballers 500$ items they want to offer 80$. Btw after all my active ads on karrot I haven't sold even one item because buyers don't exist on this App just go to Facebook Marketplace much more reliable than this.

This app is great because AI is helping, it describes your item for you even better than yourself most of times and gives you a reasonable price to use! I was going to give 5 stars but I changed my mind late last night and the reason was that Karrot stopped me and still today to finish my postings! It gives me this message that limit is 40 posts an you have reached your limit and I don't understand why there should be a limit! I have a busy life and like to get rid of my unwanted stuff quickly.

it's a beggar's paradise with notifications galore to get free gift cards but if you're trying to sell anything, you get haggled to death on the messenger, the AI price drops, and in person. it's just a terrible time altogether if you're trying to sell anything but if you're haggling for a deal, the app encourages that with 'incentives'. it's basically a honeypot to steal your data masqueraded as 'AI'. it has no identity to differentiate other than for scared people who need your ID to buy

the app is ok. but being HARASSSED about viewings you looked at when ALL notifications are turned off, is FAST getting old! if I wanted what I was looking at, I would have messaged the Seller the day I looked at the posting. Also. I don't care about earing points, stop telling me that I missed out on a points run, or whatever, that I turned OFF the notifications for. SERIOUSLY!

Great deals to be found on the app. Much more reliable buyers/sellers when compared to those on Facebook Marketplace. Giving away items is highly encouraged and adds to the community focused nature of the app. Lottery-style giveaways of gift cards and occasionally electronics happen regularly with entries gained through participation in easy, fun games/contests. Search feature has improved exponentially in recent months. Give it a try—especially if you're frustrated with people on FB Marketplace

I installed Karrot and, within a week, made my first sale. There seem to be fewer users than Marketplace or Kijiji, but the user interface and functionality of the app are WAY better. Like night and day, I would say 10 stars for usability and UI. I just wish there were more users! Also, the scanner is good, but prices are inaccurate.

I'm a buyer who just downloaded this app a few hours ago and I think I'll go ahead and uninstall it. There are only ~80 results for a super common search term like "nightstand" within a 15-mile radius of the huge city I live in, and many of those results aren't even nightstands. So forget finding what you actually want. The app seems nice enough, but I think it makes sense to just go back to eBay and FB marketplace because not enough people are listing on this app.

This app was working until I updated it two days ago. It logged me out and I'm having a hard time logging back in. After trying several times, about four times, you loose your chance to try again until Next day. I momentarily logged in yesterday and responded to a buyer and when I was going to post some items, it logged me off again. I'm trying again but I don't receive the verification code tru text. There's nothing about the subject on the help section. I'm about to uninstall it for good.
