So here's my honest take on Kelley Blue Book: We Know Cars. I've tested a bunch of car-related apps and this one's pretty solid. The valuation estimates are accurate and it's super helpful for figuring out a fair price, whether you're buying, selling, or trading. The interface could use some work, but it's easy enough to use. Definitely better than some of the other car price apps I've tried. Not gonna lie, it's become an essential tool in my car-buying arsenal.

Pros

  • Reliable car valuation estimates based on real sales data
  • Trade-in calculator makes it easy to see what dealers will offer
  • Browse similar cars in your area to compare prices
  • Free to use, no subscription or hidden fees

Cons

  • Interface is a bit clunky and not the most intuitive
  • Ads can get annoying if you don't pay for the premium version
  • Doesn't have every single car model in the database

Description

Been using Kelley Blue Book: We Know Cars for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you figure out how much your car is worth, whether you’re selling it or trading it in. Pretty solid app if you’re into cars and want to make sure you’re getting a fair deal.

Here’s what you do: you enter some details about your vehicle like the year, make, model, mileage, and condition. Then it gives you a fair market value estimate based on actual sales data. There’s also a trade-in value calculator, which is pretty cool. And you can browse similar cars in your area to see what they’re selling for – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful.

Look, if you’re shopping for a new car or trying to sell your old one, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to leverage the car market.

I had the original Kelley Blue Book app that was fantastic this new app sucks you can't do nothing or get any information there's no details at all

Johnny Ferrara October 14, 2025

Constantly crash, won't show value menu. No dealer price and no average street price available like in old app. At this time app needs work.

What happened to the original app? The one before used to check out the value of any car with ease. All they did was make it more difficult to use....
