Everytime I try to earn more kin, there's always an error with loading the ad, but if it does play, after the ad, I won't earn any kin. The way it was set up before the update was alot better. I used the app back in September 2020 and it was great, but when I recently updated it and went back on, there are alot of glitches with earning Kin and trying to meet new people. Really disappointed. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Ok, so, I've used Kik pretty much since it was originally released and for a while I loved it. But recently there's a problem where my messages are not sending. No matter how many texts I send, they are always stuck on "s" and won't actually send for hours at most. This has been going on for months and now it keeps happening every day! I used to love this app, but now I can't even use it properly half the time! I've reinstalled the app, toggled my internet connection, restarted my internet, nothing worked! Please fix this issue!!!

User of 9 years here. I want to like this app so much since it's such a solid chat app but man, it's been slowly going downhill. There are so many better options now and when you're gonna copy/paste the same live model you use in 3 other apps, it's no wonder the app is dying. When medialab aquired Kik, they promised users there would be no ads and here we are. I understand you need money to run an app and if the ads were less intrusive, it wouldn't be a problem. Rest in piss, always missed.

For some strange reason, my account was removed from every group I would communicate with other creators in, and couldn't rejoin any of them--or ANY group for that matter. Was informed that this usually means you're banned from the group feature (though I didn't understand why...), a few others had the same problem. Tried downloading the dual app as was recommended, and had access for a day, just to lose it again... Luckily, those groups invited me to their Discords and I left this app behind.

Help me understand why I get a new pm request from bots at least once a day usually more! This is unacceptable! Plus the full screen ads! I understand you have to make money but is there a reason the ads have to be so damn loud!? They pop up at random then you have to wait at least 5 seconds for the noise to go away. This is very intrusive especially if someone is doing something opens Kik only for their phone to make a bunch of unnecessary noise. Again not complaining because there are ads.

Its been 3 months since my last review. Still unable to log in. It just says loading and spins and spins. Randomly logged out of my account for no reason. Can't log back in. Tried to create a new account and can't get past the email step. Tried different email addresses and always get the same response. Was planning a Christmas meetup with some group members and now have no way to reach them. What is going on with your site? Please do better.

It's great getting to know people when you join a group for people in your state. However, I have been having insane trouble with logging in. I have reset my password multiple times, done the puzzles and still can't seem to get logged in since it tells me that my login is invalid. Aside from this issue Kik is pretty decent for almost anonymous chatting online. Thanks and I hope you can fix this problem for me.

There needs to be more group options. Like, the option that only admins can add new people to a closed group, that's a big one, seems pretty basic. Kik has been around forever and there's still a lot of basic stuff that's not available. Lately, group chats suck. Messages often come out of order, or not at all, or repeat hours later, and it's multiple times per day, every day.

I have no idea what is going on but it glitches all the time. Freezes and won't let me go live for more than 2 minutes before saying I've lost connection when my router/modem says my signal is very good. I have 5G whole home wifi. Half the time I can't see comments or see my own comments in streams. Its frustrating. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Cleared what needed to be cleared. I have plenty of storage. It's just annoying is all.

App keeps freezing and you have no other option but to log out. Once you log out...it won't let you log back in. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple times. So you are forced to create a new account. It has done this to me now twice within the past two days. One account I had for 5+ years and another I only had for 2 days before it did it again. Plus the Public Groups get hit with tons of bots.

I've been using Kik for a few years, and got back to using it within the last two. I've noticed a large amount of ads popping up in that time, and while banner ads are fine, it's unacceptable to have ads playing in between conversations. I understand you have to make money, Kik, but the fact is that fullscreen ads are are NOT the way to go. There is also the fact there is no function that saves what you are writing when the app crashes... Which is a lot. Come on Kik, you're better than this.

I have always loved the app, it's great way to meet new people, and I am happy to have met my friends on here. But now like all other apps they have gotten the intrusive ads. I understand that it may be needed for more funds, but I do wish there was an option to mute or remove these ads. I would rather spend money to remove the ads then see them in my chats, since they minimize how much you can see it makes opening chats rather displeasing.

I used to love Kik. I've used it for a few years now and it's very useful to have different trackers to see if your message was sent, delivered, read, or if someone is typing. However, the addition of ads is a really big deterrent from using the app. I don't think it's appropriate for a messaging app to contain ads. I am considering switching platforms.

For the past two days all of my messages have had an 'S' beside them. It doesn't matter who I message or when I message them, it's all the same. They also say they cannot send a message to me. I rely heavily on this app. Fix it, please. Edited to add: I've tried updating, restarting, and turning off my phone in addition to uninstalling and reinstalling the app several times. This is ridiculous.

I believe the app was removed from the play store for a while, its back and its mt first time downloading and it doesn't even LET YOU REGISTER. I've gone through making the account multiple times, once I get to the last step, (entering the email) I click submit, it waits a bit and then a pop up shows on my phone with the Kik icon but it doesn't say anything and the app doesn't let you log in. I've restarted my phone, the app, redownloaded, nothing.

Really good app, way over populated with robots. At least half, if not more of its total users are bots. This gets annoying and frustrating. Kik should consider a full redo, delete everything and restart. That or have some kind of monthly user capta check to make sure users are real. Besides that, another issue I have is the app itself grows it's storage at a huge rate. Within 2 to 3 weeks of usage, the app will consume up to 3/4 GB of space. The only option is to clear the cache repeatedly.

App barely works as of now. Messages don't load unless the app is running in the background draining battery, so you have to load every single message sent by a person, one message at a time. Don't open the app for days? Sit there for a good 10 minutes playing catch-up. Also can't change your profile picture or banner without the app crashing on you, thanks Kik!

I've tried several times to register and complete my profile. I mistyped my email and when I try to change it, it just clocks and says I can't change right now to come back later. I uploaded a profile picture but nothing is showing. I try to enter my interests and it just clocks. not a good start after just downloading. think I'll uninstall...

Kik crashes frequently and/or doesn't send notifications. When you sign out, all of your chats are erased. Mt most recent issue deals with the "meet new people" link and using my "15 chats per session." I haven't used any chats in a while. It says i have 15 but when I click on it, it says no more available. I signed out and back in. I even purchased 3 for $0.99 just to see if it would do anything...nope. Okay when it works right, but def some issues.

DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP! Had a lot of fun with this app over years and spent a lot to support my favorite streamers. I made a purchase for $100 in credits and while usually I immediately receive what I paid for, this time, it's been 20 hours and nothing. Contacted support - they gave a solution that didn't work. Their email said to contact them with any additional questions/concerns, so I did - 4 times. They're not responding. Will update review if they actually help resolve this!
