Reviews for Kikoff – Build Credit Quickly

Mark Tedrow

I saw that KikOff had a lot of users with a lot of great feedback. So I signed up. After signing up and giving them my email and creating a password, that was it. The next page asked you for your Name, Middle name, and Last name. I can't type no more then 2 letters in each box. Something is wrong with this apps sign up process. Because of that, they are getting a 1 star review. If it gets fixed and I am actually able to sign up and use KikOff, I would be inclined to update my review.

So far, my credit score went up twice to a 720 and within 1 week dropped to 121 pts. I've paid off all my cc's and the only thing that happened between that time was my bank card expiring, and I literally couldn't get into the app when trying to update it. Now, when trying to log in and pay off my account it keeps asking me to update the app. It hasn't allowed me to. I've been trying to contact someone regarding this issue but it hasn't been easy. Can help please be easier ?

2 stars because it lets you dispute things on your credit, and can help bump your credit up a few points, however, I pay for the premium version. So I can view all 3 of my scores. They're all over 650 on the kickoff app, but unfortunately when talking to finance people about purchasing a new vehicle or a home, my credit score on their end comes up as significantly less. This app might help a bit, but very misleading, and the changes take months to years to take place.

I just encourage anyone who believes that their credit score has actually raised at all to just go to Experian, Equifax, ect. to see if it is reflected there when this site says it has . I have raised my score significantly only to find out after paying for this so called "loan " that the score is not the credit score that banks and finance company's use. It's something different. It's your Andvantage 3.0 Score, which I have yet to find anyone who uses it in reference to credit score

Since this is a credit "credit building" app. Why not add a feature that if the payment doesn't go through, it cancels the subscription? I was in the hospital for 4 months, and since I didn't notice the payments weren't being paid, all of the progress I made this year has gone down the drain. If you can't make the payments, they'll keep billing and billing. then, once you've built up enough debt, they charge it off and report it to your credit.

Kikoff has been a fantastic app for me. I had bad credit for a while thanks to some poor life choices as a young adult, but I've since bounced back thanks in no small part to kikoff. the credit builder card and credit building loans are incredible. can't recommend enough! only thing I would like to see is a debit card attached to the account as well so that I can use the money in my account to pay for things and link accounts that don't allow credit cards.

Great app, works as advertised and extremely easy to use. I have only been subscribed for about 5 months and starting with almost no credit. For only $20/month (I believe the cheapest option), it has raised my credit score from very low 500s to Mid/Hi 700s with very little effort on my part. I'm quite cautious with financial apps and did a lot of research before signing up. You should also research if a subscription is a possibility in your future. 5/5*

Overall the service is great, but recently the app just disappeared from my phone with absolutely no way to access it, even though when I check the app store it tells me it's still installed. Can't make heads or tails of it, and it's a real pain to sign in online every time, I really liked that the app had a pin feature which the site doesn't have.

my credit score has gone from a 514 to 533/558 on two different credit lines in 30 days. I'm beyond grateful. When you give a little, you get a little. I plan on upgrading my subscriptions. Just don't default and if you have a problem call them but don't keep missing payments and don't do it if you are not fully motivated. You are in charge of Your own future.

Don't use this company, if you close your account, they won't automatically send your savings deposit back to your account. I had my account closed for a nearly a year & had $120.00 in savings built up in it, I found out by a email reminding me not to let my savings go to waste, first I went to withdraw it & the page errored, I had to contact support tried to tell me it was a mistake on their part in the email & I only had $20 dollars, my account was open for 3 years so that doesn't seem likely.
