Reviews for Kippo – Dating App for Gamers

The app is alright, the free version is not really worth it all in all but its the best gaming dating app out there, if thats an achievement. Infinite does make it worth while, until you run into an issue of not being able go message anyone through an error. Ticket has been sent to fix this, lets hope it gets taken care of. EDIT: ITS BEEN FIXED!

I need to address this while I'm still in the early stage of using this app. I must acknowledge the style and customization of profiles is fairly appealing, however the downside is the limited choices between 3 out of like 6 different templates to help you stand out. It's cool, but as a "free" user you only have 3. Also, it feels like no one is online and your sent messages/likes/views give no indication. Last, there's a viewing limit...per day...on a dating app...what? 3/5 is kinda generous imo

The app has gotten way better but even with full bars and or wifi I have to hit the heart, "X", or undo buttons several times for it to register that I actually hit them. That and it keeps showing me the same people multiple times even though I already hit heart or "X" and each time I redo it, it counts as one of my 30 likes for the day. Also messages I send don't show up for a good few minutes after I send them. Fix this and the app will be gold.

Really cool interface, i love how much profile customization there is, and i think it's a great please to find friends or a potential SO. However, it's clear that the app really wants you to use their premium. I log on almost everyday and see that i have plenty of likes on my profile, however those people that like my profile rarely ever show up in my pool of people. If it not for that, i would highly recommend this app.

It's an interesting premise, and I've talked to a few people on it even though it never lead to anything. A lot of the paid privileges just don't work though. If you accidentally swipe left on someone (which is VERY easy) then there's no way to undo it, as the 'go back ' button doesn't work. And if you accidentally swipe right on someone (which again, is easy), then there's no way to send them a message unless you match.

I like the idea and I like being able to pick my favorite games as well as favorite anime. There are a few glitches here and there though... The most annoying one is when I want to send a message to someone the keyboard pops up for a split second and then exits again. It worked the first few days but now suddenly I can't type anything to anyone. Very weird

A good concept, but set up poorly. The messaging organization is extremely confusing. New matches show in the reply section when there's no actual messages, and they don't give a sort option so I have to scroll around to figure out where a conversation was moved to and in which tab. I wish there was a way to sort messages and that "reply" only showed messages you still need to reply to. Very confusing. Other than that, I like the app. But it's almost impossible to actually talk to matches.

Havnt had bug issues personally like many others, but I have only been using it for around a week or so. My only issue with the app is that they advertise profiles which are 100% without a doubt very old and inactive. It would be nice if they could create a system to weed out accounts that have been left unused for a certain period of time and to remove those accounts from everyone's feed. This is especially a big issue considering you only get to see 30 profiles per day when not using infinity

The app itself has a really neat design, but there just aren't enough users at the moment to justify the monthly cost. (And the app is unusable without paying, as you can only message 1 person per day with the free version.) I like in the Los Angeles area and I went through every user within a 50 mile radius within 48 hours. I've actually had some matches and am chatting with a few people, which is great, but I recommend holding off paying for the full version until there are more users.

App does not work. A while back, it stopped working, saying that there was an issue with my network when I know for a fact there was not. I was finally able to get in today, briefly, and they appear to have added some sort of avatar feature, the customization of which did not work (I couldn't add hair). I tried to check my stack of potential matches and there were no women, despite my settings. I wanted to check said settings just in case, but couldn't find them in the new UI.
