I am pro-user in Montreal and need an advanced level of Québécois to maintain my career. This is a gamechanger! Languatalk is an amazing, powerful app. Yes, the mobile app can be buggy. The desktop version is less buggy but some features are not good on desktop, and vice versa. Amazing features: REAL QUÉBÉCOIS! Custom vocab, lessons, upload files to learn about YOU (CVs, job descriptions, articles, etc). Huge number of engaging custom activities (debates, chats, role play, quizzes)

Outstanding way to learn language. Passive learning will only get you so far, in order for language to stick you need to speak it. Its the only way. Langua makes it easy to get speaking practice without having a speaking partner or using a local. Has helped me so much for spanish

DO NOT FALL FOR THE 30 DAYS FREE! I cancelled becuase i didnt use it and even though i cancelled im still seeing the charge on my bank account. Oddly enough, there is no charge in andriod monthly payment which means i cant even use it! Makes me wonder how they were able to charge me without google passthrough? IN RESPONSE TO YOUR CLAIM - THIS IS COPIED DIRECTLY FROM YOUR APP " All Pro plans come With a 30-day moneyback guarantee: try for 30 days, and if you don't love it" 3 MON. & STILL WAITING

in reaponse to your reply to my review. i did as you said... i wanted to save the whole sentence comment appelez vous..and so tapped 'comment' ..then clicked 'translate sentence' then pressed 'click' and it only saved comment..NOT the whole sentence. I also held my finger on 'comment' and tapped 'vous' as you stated. absolutely nothing happened. And its still lagging on my samung s8 ultra tablet..a £1000 tablet so its not a hardware issue. Its a little faster but still 7 ish seconds lagging.

I'm a pro subscriber. The voice recognition is generally excellent. A couple of issues I would love to see improved: 1. Sometimes there are letters missing at the end of words spoken by the AI. The AI says them fine out loud but in the written text there are letters missing. This is in Russian. 2. When memorising a word for flashcards, it would be really helpful to have the option to save a word in nominative case. Right now, every declension of a word is registered as a unique word.

Great idea, speaks the wrong language. Japanese, first course (introductions) with default voice kept on talking in Chinese. would love to try this, but not if the AI actively teaches wrong content Edit: Thanks for the reply, interestingly you were recommended to me explicitly for japanese. I set a reminder for beginning of November, will gladly try again.

This is the answer to Duolingo frustration. I was getting nowhere in conversation even after a 7 year streak! I am now powering ahead with Langua. It's much more than a (brilliant) chabot with many powerful learning tools. How they have taught the program to understand my bad Spanish is a miracle. Note added after a month: I chat with my AI buddy every day. It's fun and my Spanish is improving rapidly! Political debates are amazing.

Garbage on S24 Ultra. Pauses like it's listening or processing speech, but doesn't actually take my audio input. Flash cards won't leave the screen, so it's impossible to advance them. I don't know if it's Thai that's buggy or the whole app, but ChatGPT is a better language tutor than this.

I've been testing the app for nearly six months, and while it has potential, it's starting to feel repetitive. There haven't been many useful new features to make conversations more engaging. A wider range of natural voices for German and other languages, plus more interactive elements (e.g. avatars), would add variety. At the moment, the voices sound too theatrical. Overall, the app has strong potential, but adding these enhancements would make the experience much more dynamic and enjoyable.

Loading takes forever. App won't even sign in no matter how many times I back out or reset the app. If I can't even get past the mandatory login screen then the app is useless. Thankfully I didn't waste money on a subscription before the problems started to appear and the constant loading probably saved me from a future migraine.

Unsubscribed, I want to talk to a female coded ai, just like it more, it makes it less boring, but they're all only available for Brasilian Portuguese. Let me know when you have fixed that. I mean, 30 euros a month not to have a choice? It kept bugging me, irritating me, in the end I canceled. Sorry.

Great app at getting you talking! I feel more confident speaking in Italian already and I have only been chatting to Francesco for a week. I love the ability to ask the bits of grammar I am not understanding and it is easily explained and examples given. Occasionally the app is slightly sticky, with occasional lags, but not too disruptive.

This app is the best language app I have ever used. Being able to put something into practice immediately after learning it is a game changer. I love creating prompts that are tailored to my learning and aspects of Spanish convo I want to focus on (social and travel). I had to contact support today for the first time and my issue was resolved literally in minutes. this app just gets better and better!

I've just subscribed, but so far the app is amazing. The AI conversations can be tailored to your interests. My hesitation in conversations previously was because when I try to explain more complicated things other free AI apps don't understand, but this one guesses what I'm saying and then shows me how to express myself better. Just what I need at mid to upper intermediate level language learning. Brilliant. :-)

The free version is way too limited, it's really difficult to test out the app before committing, and since the subscription is not particularly cheap, it would be very valuable to have more credit to get a feel of it. Right now I could barely converse with the AI before I was blocked and I need a week to try it again. Competitors are a bit more generous than that. Unfortunately that will probably result in me not purchasing it as competition is not bad enough (Talkpal for instance).

Highly highly recommend this app. My speaking and listen comprehension (Spanish) has improved dramatically. I use the AI conversation features, vocab and grammar practice. During the conversation, corrections and alternative responses are offered. The teacher sounds so realistic, the conversations are engaging. I love it! ¡Me encanta!

This app is great. I've been teaching myself Italian for more than 20 years. While I can understand much of what's spoken in Italian, my conversation needs a lot of improvement. I purchased a subscription to Langua several weeks agp and I can already tell the difference. My favorite part, so far, is the ability to chat while having grammar practice. When I write Italian, I'm pretty comfortable getting noun, adjective, and article agreement correct, but when I speak, I often make mistakes. The ba

I could write a much longer review than Google permits but I'll just say that I use this for 5 minutes and immediately subscribed for a year. AI had a conversation with me about the Sicilian short story writer Giovanni Verga which was just like talking to a native speaker who knew that author very well. I learned so much vocabulary and got so much practice in just 1 hour. Absolutely recommend this for intermediate learners. It's not a grammar for beginners. looking forward to practicing daily.

This is the buggiest app I've seen in a while. The AI chatbot constantly freezes and then I'm prompted to refresh...which literally does nothing. The end result is I have to go back and redo the lesson again. Way too expensive for this poorly engineered app. And it doesn't keep track of your daily progress. Everyday I start off like I wasn't on here for the past two weeks. The interface is terrible. You could learn a lot from Duolingo's ease of use and options.

I really enjoy Langua and think it's s fantastic tool for intermediate/advanced learners. I feel the majority of platforms are aimed at beginners and once you reach a certain level, they are not beneficial. Langua may also be good for beginners, I just didn't approach it that way. The one negative is the occasional timing out of the AI tutor. It will hung up and cut your practice short sometimes.
