Aside from the short range (not an app issue) it wants to reconnect everytime you leave the app and come back. Doesn't genuinely connect via bluetooth, the app triggers the connection when opened.

The app and led bars work. All the modes work. The installation wasnt to bad. The only bad issue is that when you pick a certain color it changes to white. Or it'll show the wrong colors.
Until last month, this app was extremely frustrating to use, constant glitches, crashes, freezes and tons of other bugs. It still has its problems, but it's becoming better with each new update
Doesn't always connect and doesn't have a landscape mode which I need for my tablet that I use it for. My tablet stays in landscape mode and this app always loads in portrait mode. Other than that no complaints. But landscape mode is a biggie
the blutooth controller keeps disconnecting and the light on it turns red. not sure if its the controller thats faulty or the app. if i disconnect tye ground and connect it back it lets me pair to it but just that one time. the next day it doesnt till i cycle power through it.
The app never works, I have to reset kit constantly to sync it back... and before you assume it's the kit, I've been through 2 controllers (due to a water issue on the first). The app needs to do better for street glow..
Well 1st everytime I would leave the car then return and try to use. I would have to unhook from positive then back to get bluetooth connection. So I just put a toggle switch on the positive line. After I exit app, I just turn off. When I open the app, just turn on toggle. No Problems now so far. Hooks up fast
I am very happy with this product I have had the key fob and this is the newer improved version. Both lights smd led interior neon this product is cool bc it lets you pick a custom color plus let's you pick up to 3 colors on a saved memory of up to 5 slots it gives you the options for different styles. When it doesn't connect I just restart the app and it connects perfectly the only problem is there is a red led on the control box that never turns off bc I don't know if it drains my battery lmk
The app is a piece of trash. It's great when it does end up working (which is once in a blue moon) but 98% you spend so much time trying to get it to work you just give up. Support is useless as well telling you to watch some 1 minute video that obviously doesn't make the product work and keep conveying your doing it wrong
Functional but can't get it to auto on with one of my presets. Always auto turns on to the flashing rainbow which is a bit jarring. Would be nice to just start the car, auto to my preset, and drive away, instead of having to go in the app and change it.
This is my 2nd full kit in 7 years 2 different vehicles... Product quality has only improved (drastically).. I literally couldn't be any happier. This is a great product from a great company, and I'll definitely buy more kits from them in the future...
So of course I was going through all the reviews and every single one of them said the app doesn't work so I was happy when mine did work and worked for about 3 weeks..... Now it doesn't work anymore!?😡 So considering you can't even use the million color light display without the app I got to give it a 1star and I wouldn't buy this product.
I never right a review, but I always read them. Mainly its to see if the App is going to be useful or a waste of time. When I see people write negative reviews or what the issues are with it, typically I press the back exit button and keep it moving. I had no choice but to download the App to operate the LED lights. Great product, Great App, Great price These other people must be having Wi Fi issues, Bluetooth issues, or phone issues. The App and the LEDs work great!
Fails to reconnect... very frustrating when you have to disconnect it from the battery and try to get the Bluetooth to connect again to my android. Wish I never purchased it. Save your Money and stick with the key fob.. after reading that this is a on going problem by all the reviews Ledglow needs to make it right or stop selling the product.
This app was a little frustrating until I called their tech support and he new exactly what I was having issues with the app would work but when I turned the lights off on the app and walked away and came back later to try to turn them on again the app wouldn't connect he advised me that before I walk away from vehicle force the app to stop after I pressed the power button on the app for the lights and then it will work every time otherwise the module goes into a deep sleep mode and it works
Not a horrible app once I figured out how to use it. Definitely needs some work. Not sure why the app needs my location for leds to work. A feature I wish this app had would be to be able to set a timer. Ex. Light will shut off after 20min or 1hr, etc. Also my key chain remote only works if my phone is connect and I use it to turn the lights no. The light came with the car or I Definitely would have picked a different brand.
The app simply does not work. When you get the system to work it is great. The company needs to look into fixing the bluetooth connection for this product. Really disappointed with this. It only connects about once a week. I try everday. Come on LED glow. Get this fixed. The remote doesn't work either.
review edit. Ever since the update the controller will no longer connect with the app and my lights stay on all the time. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the app to see if that was the fix. If so I'll change my review.
They have never worked right. With the standard remote I had to stand next to the truck. So like a fool I spent money for the controller to work off my phone. Again I have to stand next to the truck to make it work. I wasted alot of money and should have read all the horrible reviews. Spent alot of time installing and money on the units. Don't do it! No help when calling about it.
