I bought a new ES in January. The dealer's tech expert tried off and on for a week to get the app communicating with my car, to the point they gave me a loaner car to give him time to work on it with the Lexus people. They finally got it registered, but it still does not work properly. Some data is correct, others haven't been updated in 2 weeks.Remote access may or may not be available at any given time. The "distance to empty" has been stuck on 101 for that time. It correctly shows that tire pressure is at 35, yet a message pops up that one or more tires is critically low. At one point it said I had driven the car 16.7 million miles! I cleared the cache, the data, and reinstalled the app -- nothing helps. It's a bit ironic that a builder of quality cars cannot get their app developer to build a quality app that can be relied on. UPDATE: "Lexus Mobile Apps" did respond and asked me to call for more info. The number is just the central number and the rep, while most helpful, was unfamiliar how to redirect the call.
Reviews for Lexus
← Back to LexusIt does one thing well: collect your name, home address, email address, and phone number and share with third parties. The "features" either don't work at all (remote start) or it loops at "scan QR code", but there is no QR code to scan. It boasts you can share digital key with 7 users, but can't even share with one. It always resets the name to "Guest Seven". The only good thing about this, is it is a trial software. Uninstalling, not subscribing.
The app only does a few things and does all of them poorly. The app drains my phone battery like crazy even when it's not in use. When I try to share the digital key with my wife it doesn't do anything after accepting the digital key. It needs notification permissions to use the remote start function for some reason. I get unwanted notifications all the time. I park my car in the garage; I don't care that it's unlocked. If I disable notifications I lose the remote start functionality. So dumb!
Very poor app! Most households with a married couple share a vehicle yet this app only allows one person to access. If you try to login under the one person's account, they have to give you a code sent to their mobile number. Even if you select "keep me logged in" under the security section, it still logs you out requiring the one and only allowed account holder to give you access again. Makes the features of remote start, etc useless.
Works, but having trouble with the Lexus apps part in my 17rx. Most times I have to go in the phone app and reconnect, wait for it slow and iffy... Just wanted to see like fuel prices the other day.... Sad I have to pay 16$ a month for this, before its completely turned off for my car that was made 11/17 and called a 17. Zero idea why it wants to track me all the time, app in use or not. Not sure if that is part of the problem, I have not accepted that... The 2 app setup was much easier,
Drains battery like crazy while running in the background. Even if you don't open up your app, it drains ~20% of my phone battery per day just running in the background. The digital key doesn't work. Tried a dozen times. Even the dealer couldn't get it to work. The worst part is that only the primary driver gets the full functionality of the app. Your spouse has almost no access to any of the app functionality as a secondary user. Totally unacceptable.
The app never connects to the car right away, digital key is almost worthless. Sometimes I can use digital key to get in the car, but then it won't start...then I go about restarting my phone and all that...it will eventually work. But 5 minutes to get the car running isn't more efficient. Even though I lock the car with the door handle spot, I'll get an alert from the app that the door isn't locked. More magic from the digital key. Not to mention all the trouble that wireless Android Auto is.
I wonder if they read our reviews. Everyone is saying the same thing but they aren't doing anything about it. The app seems to always have problems. Currently I have no odometer, gas level reading. Ever since the app was upgraded (not even sure you can say "upgraded") the location of the car function is trash. It hasn't worked properly since January. Before you would be able to see the live location of the car now you can only see last parked location and I think that's useless. Please do better
I downloaded the app really excited to connect my lexus. I added the vin # as requested and as I scroll down to the save changes and except the agreement, it pops up saying... "unable to process the request" so I cant even view anything. I just bought my car and was excited to set this up. Didnt get that far. Not sure why the app stops at that point, but I've tried refreshing the page, backing out, closing the app., deleting and reinstalling and still nothing. App doesn't work.
one of the most frustrating things, I have my vehicle parked in the garage and saved my location for my home and it keeps warning me constantly that my doors and windows are either unlocked or open, I've sent in feedback but this definitely needs to be fixed, my phone is telling me the app is using too much power because it's constantly checking status.
constantly crashing. matter of fact I got a message from my phone this morning that saying it's crashing constantly, to put it into deep sleep to make my phone run more efficiently. the app is also telling me continually that it is ready to connect. it's reaching out searching for the car, thus draining my battery continually. the app has good potential, but definitely needs work. when I first got my Lexus I used the digital key, I uninstalled that because it was continually searching for car
The Lexus Enform App is OK, but sluggish to respond to inquiries/commands. I've used it many times to check on vehicle status and lock it. It would be nice to be able to close the windows remotely, but I can see where that could be a safety issue. However...there is no good reason that the car needs to shut off a remotely started engine when the door is opened. It should simply sense that the key fob is near, and then allow unlocking the door without shutting off the engine. Silly set-up!
After update, app closes after start screen. Why pay for something that does not work? UPDATE! After finally updating app worked well for almost three years, now it just sits on the start screen and doesn't load, if I uninstall the app, and reinstall it, then sign back in it will work exactly once, as soon as I leave the screen, it will not open again. Please fix as soon as possible! 6/03/2025
The Lexus app is working fine on my LG phone. It contains a great deal of information and I still have a lot to learn. There are multiple icons and subicons to click on. It's great to be able to lock the doors with the app. I like the tire pressure, charge statusand vehicle health reports. It starts with three icons: Remote, Status and Health. Estimated range and charge status are right at the top of the screen, below your car VIN. My phone security requires me to log in every time I start app.
Giving 1 star for potential. I wouldn't know what it can do because it will not work. I sign in and just get the spinning blue circle. It NEVER let's me access the app. I have no problems accessing on the web. However, this app is useless. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, change password, set up, and nothing works.
there's so much more that this app could do. there's no indication of charge speed, sometimes the notifications don't alert (for instance if someone else plugs me in, it doesn't notify me that the car started charging). when starting the car from the phone, allow for a temperature adjustment before starting or immediately after. it also constantly crashes on first open.
Reliable for start and lock / unlock. Pauses music when the app starts because of the intro video which is weird but not unacceptable, I just play the music again or leave it paused since it's gonna switch to Bluetooth anyway. Finding car map could be improved, it's hard to tell the location in a big parking lot like a fair or theme park which is the only time I want to use it.
The worst app ever. sends at least 10-15 notifications every day warning me about everything, even when it's parked in my garage. it will say "looking for your car" and "doors are unlocked", or "multiple windows are down". It even sent the message "looking for your car" while I WAS IN THE CAR! When USING THE APP, the notifications will say, "See the app for more information". No way to turn off the notifications or delete them. Buzzes my phone constantly. Don't bother running this app.
app is completely unusable. app opens on first use when logging in. close app, won't reopen. delete all data, app allows me to log in again. if I close the app, I can't log in again. I have deleted and redownloaded twice. this is so ridiculous. I paid $65k for my car and now I'm paying monthly for an app that should be free to begin with and it doesn't even work. mind you, this problem has been ongoing for months and I have had no help from customer support. ridiculous...
App crashes weekly now. I have to constantly clear the cache and force stop the app, close it, then restart my phone and it works (most times). I don't think anyone reads these because I'm going thru the reviews, and it's all the same exact complaints since 2018. They don't care, the collected our data- phone number, email, address and location and sold it all to third parties.
