Nothing on the app has fundamentally changed. It's just designed to look different. I still hate this app. There needs to be more alarm options. if I set my HIGH alarm to 200, I of course get alerted, but then I dismiss the alarm, and take insulin but I am not alerted again. Meanwhile I am asleep and my blood continues to rise, and rise, and rise to over 300 and no more alerts. Please fix!
Reviews for Libre by Abbott
← Back to Libre by Abbottgraph gets stuck on 9am and will not move to show where you are actively on the graph. it's really annoying. no reason to create an entirely different app for libre 3, and have it be an objectively worse app. also, continuous high alarms would be great. if I'm over the line I set for say, 2 hours, an additional alarm letting me know I haven't come down would be very helpful. I don't know why that isn't already implemented
Redesign looks nice. No big issues so far other than losing the ability to listen to audio on Bluetooth while *Do Not Disturb " is on. If anyone has this issue, just go to Do Not Disturb > Alarms and Sound. Make sure" Media Sound" is switched to "on". Now I can sit at my desk and listen to my music.
Management: It needs a method to calibrate the readings. My current sensor is reading 30 points high; this is not the first sensor to do so. Yes, this is when my blood sugar is stable. This causes the alarm to sound if my BG drops to a healthy 80. Programming: it frequently is slow or fails to respond when I tap on the button to save entries. Usually it isn't responding, so nothing gets saved until I stab several times, but sometimes this leads to several copies saved.
At least three times after installing the new sensor and waiting one hour, it then messaged there was a signal loss. They only way I found to get it to work was to uninstall the app and then reinstall. Also, at least twice the sensor didn't last the full 14 days. However, other than these annoying glitches, the sensor seems to give accurate information.
app works great when it has a connection. this version has the same issue as the previous iteration. About one per day, I'll get a signal issue, and the only way to resolve it is to uninstall and reinstall. I've raised this issue multiple times to customer support. I was hoping that the new version would fix this, but it seems as if libre isn't worried about the issue. pretty disappointing for such a large company
STOP MESSING WITH MY DnD SETTINGS! I gave the app permission to override Do Not Disturb, but whenever I get a low glucose alarm when my phone is in DnD mode, it changes the DnD so it doesn't automatically switch off anymore. Also, it resets the sounds to Alarms Only. And when I remove the program from the list of apps that have permissions to change my DnD, it adds itself back. UNACCEPTABLE! Just let the app generate an alarm just like any clock application so this is all unnecessary!
Had to uninstall the app because even turning off the alarms and force stopping the app did not prevent the app from alarming my phone that it was out of range at 2am. Update 9/28/2025: after uninstalling and reinstalling the app twice, I was able to turn off most of the alarms. One alarm can not be turned off. The app constantly tries to run in the background. And the silence option needs to be a permanent option.
Not a pleasant experience with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. It is difficult to get the app to recognize or scan a sensor. It required numerous pairing attempts, and had numerous disconnects. Thru the first night it kept loosing its signal and giving alarms, 12 times to be exact in 8 hours. My phone sits on the night stand under 3 feet from the bed. Over the next couple of days it has settled down and not been loosing the signal as bad. I am considering going back to the old app.
This app has many improvements over the last app. Here is my feedback. give the end user more granular control over alarms and when they can and cannot override the core device settings. I attended a wedding this weekend and had my phone on vibrate, the volume all the way down AND in airplane mode and this app overrode ALL OF THESE and alarmed (falsely) in the middle of the ceremony. I was "that guy" scrambling to turn his phone off....
Not a fan of this upgrade. On the home page my insulin notes do not always line up with the glucose readings at the time of my shots, as they always did in the prior version. This makes it harder to evaluate the results of insulin doses. Also the start-a-new-sensor button is too accessible while a sensor is already installed. This invites accidental disconnects.
it's good to automatically see my numbers. but I rely on the target percentage %. and the log book doesn't show more than 5 scans. I often look back at my log book even days at a time to recall what the number was at what time. the last app was great. go back to that and add the automatic scan. plus, my biggest problem with both apps is it won't let me change the tone to be different from high to low readings. it would be nice to have different sounds and volume of the tone.
Slow as F, scanner is laggy and did I say.... soooooooooo slow!! Alarms are fine, but open the app and it lags so long, you get another alarm before it shuts up! The new 2plus sensors aren't nearly as stuck together as they used to be. the glue starts to peel after about 7 to 9 days. Make sure you use a cover for then to allow them to not come apart before the 15 days are up.
had no problems with it continuously reading. it didn't pull my old data in even though I logged in. when it does require a scan, like after phone is turned off, it takes multiple tries. just started my second sensor, and somehow the old Libre 2 app picked it up. guess I'll be scanning for the next 2 weeks. and if course the disconnect of not pulling my data in.
After trying for over a month, the new app will not connect to the server to feed the data to my doctor. I've tried every troubleshooting technique I've found on the internet to no avail. I asked for help in the customer service chat, it said to call. I called and the person suggested all the things I've already tried then suggested I do a factory reset on my phone. That of course is a completely ridiculous idea. Now I'll have to switch back to the Dexcon monitor, unfortunately. Boo!
I'm seeing zero improvements, but several things were lost from the last version. Can't see a logbook. Can't visualize entries or notes. Everything takes at least one more step because of added sub menus. Claims to allow custom sounds - does not. Absolute fail. This is why I have xDrip running side by side with it. If someday you allow xDrip to access the data directly, no one will ever use this app again.
This app is great. They have fixed many of the issues mentioned in other reviews. You can slide the bubble across the graph to see past readings, there is a plus sign on the home page of the app to add insulin, food, and notes. I haven't had any issues with connectivity, and although it requires access to Do Not Disturb settings, I don't get any alarms when my phone is put on silent, unless it is Urgent Low. Great app despite bad reviews
while I really love the app so far, it drains my phone so quickly. (pixel 7 pro) I took it off the charger at 9:00am (100%)and by 1:45 I was at 20%! I started off with this app and it's only been a few days, but I can only compare it to the Libre 2 app. This app is easy to use and has some good features. I love that I don't have to scan when I'm out. it is a few points off from a finger stick. But that's normal.
Works for what it us. Desperately needs Google Health Connect API support because it's impossible for any health app to do everything for everyone. those that try, like this one, wind up shipping MVP that could have been far more useful to customers. Come on, team! It's not that hard to send the data to the health API so we can use proper nutrition tracking apps and leverage the power of the platform for better health! Do better, please. I don't want to risk a sensor trying xDrip, but I might!
This is better than the old one. The old one could discourage you because it always reads high compared to a finger stick. This one, so far reads lower. It's just an attitude and morale thing for me. Either way it shows the ups and downs properly? It would be nice to make it more accurate to the individual. Make an input where you can put your finger stick in and compare the readings. Maybe you could "teach" it to read more parallel to the finger stick, like self adjusting to the patient.
