Reviews for Libro.fm Audiobooks

I love libro.fm's service!! Same prices as Audible, and I've found every title I looked up. I also love the amazing sales they run--audiobooks for 4.99 is such a screaming deal! I had to contact support over a small issue, and I got a reply that day that resolved it. I love being able to freely gift titles and credit bundles; I used to try and do that with Audible and it was like jumping through circus hoops the whole time.

I love being able to support my local indie bookstore with this app rather than using alternative services for audiobooks. It's great that my credits don't expire. I've temporarily canceled my membership in the past and it wasn't an extremely annoying process. I dont encounter many glitches or issues when using the app and that's always appreciated.

The download functionality is so finicky. Since Libro.fm doesn't allow streaming through its app, it makes the app not functional. My phone is old but I know it's a Libro.fm problem bc Everand's downloading functionality works just fine. I have it enabled to download over cellular but the app refuses to. If the wifi isn't 5 bars strong, its almost impossible to initiate a download. I'm constantly stopping / starting downloads, restarting the app to get it to work.

Actual customer service? The app is by no means perfect, but I love that I'm supporting my local bookstore and not a greedy billionaire using AI instead of paying voice actors and hasn't had proper customer service in years. This app doesn't display series properly, so I emailed them about it. I got a prompt response that they are working to establish a solution AND they said they'll get back to me. Unheard of, I know. Definitely ditch the other app.

absolutely phenomenal. I can listen to my audio books. the app is clean and I get to support my local bookstore. its better than audible imo because I can actually have a copy of my audiobook. it sucks I have to go to the website to download the audio copy but it pretty much does the same thing audible does but supports local business and authors better!

Been using for months now and very happy. It can do everything audible could (plus credits don't expire and their books are DRM free) while supporting local bookstores instead of Amazon and they do lovely "challenges" every so often (one was donating to American Library Association and earning a free credit for it). The book recommendations come from real people and the whole thing is just clearly run by people who love books even more than money and it feels good to use. No regrets.

This app and company is fantastic! they allow you to purchase a large library of audiobooks and you are able to download the files and actually own the books you buy. The app interface is very easy but to purchase books without credits requires you to go to the website which can be inconvenient. They also have a lot of book sales each month that allow you to purchase select books at a steal. The last and best part is that your purchases support local and/or indie bookshops of your choice!

I think the app is fine. I do wish there was an explorer based on my previous purchases, which you know is probably like one of those things people don't want for privacy reasons but at the same time I know they're keeping my purchase history because I think they have to so... it would be nice. I also wish they had more categories and I could like sort by or filter by.

Absolutely love libro.fm! I get to support my local indie bookstore, keep my books after I purchase them, and I dont have to pay for a subscription to purchase new titles. Customer support is extremely helpful if I ever need them, and I talk to real people! The app is easy to use and I love getting to shop the sales too.

I love this app! it's just what I was looking for and helps support my favorite local bookstore. for the first time I had a minor issue with a download, I contacted support and got a very quick response, excellent customer service and a quick fix to my problem. shout out to Danny in Support. Also I didn't have to go through an AI bot!!

I love that I can buy audiobooks as I want to without having a membership. The audiobooks I've bought from Libro.FM have crisp, clear sound that I can listen to in the car, and they haven't taken up too much space on my phone either. I also feel good about supporting my local Indie bookstore with my purchases. I take a while to listen to and finish audiobooks sometimes, so it's nice to be able to own them rather than borrow them.

I love actually owning my digital audiobooks, and the app makes it so easy to listen to them, adjust the speed, add bookmarks and notes. It is also laid out very intuitively, and if there's a bug, the Libro.fm human team is quick to respond. Plus, all purchases support indie bookstores of your own choice! (and by extension the human authors and narrators of each book).

The app works pretty well. Two things I miss from other audio players: needs an option to auto-pause during notification sounds from other apps, and I would love for the notification area media control to have the 15 second jump buttons instead of the whole-track slider which I'm too clumsy to use. 4 stars for the app, 5 stars for the Libro.fm service.

I love using Libro.FM to check out new audiobooks! I find the playlists with bookseller recommendations, and organized by topic, allow me to find new reads I wouldn't have heard of otherwise. The app is easy to use and I like that I can filter my books by genre. I've had nothing but a positive experience, all while supporting my local indie bookstore.

The UI is definitely not as friendly as audible, but Libro also doesn't shaft the people that create and supply the media youre looking for an app for. Quite the contrary, Libro supports local bookstores/libraries of your choice! It's slightly (like dimes not dollars, on the whole) more expensive credits and subscription wise, but I (personally at least) feel a lot better giving money to libro and local libraries than to billionaires and big corporations. Fav Audiobook app

we love this app, and would give a 5/5 but for one thing: being able to purchase credits or books via the app (instead of having to open a browser) would be so convenient. 4.5/5 because everything else about the app is great. it's easy to search by series, author, or even narrator. and supporting a book store of our choice is great as well!

Very happy with the company, though sometimes they don't have titles that other providers do. And wish that you can make purchases in the app (although now you can at least make a purchase if you have credits). But hopefully these are improvements that are to come. Love that I can support an indie bookshop with my purchases.

It's solid. It has a high quality library, it's graphically appealing, the battery drain is okayish. Importantly the deals are good enough for the average listener. The audio quality is good, but may not have as much standardization as some who switch may be used to. Compared to its competitor the search is incredibly lacking and doesn't provide reviews. (You can use the other app's search to find what you want first)

The BEST audiobook app PLUS it supports indie bookstores!! I love this app so much. My only issue is not being able to purchase audiobooks thru the app - you have to go to the website, which isn't too big of a hassle. It's amazing!! I've sued this for over a year and I love the latest update too :)

Definitely my preferred Android audiobook app. I have my monthly membership and each additional discounted purchase tied to the local bookstore of my choice. As of 7.29.2, it's nice to browse the store and at least spend credits on the app (I still want to buy books that are
