So here's my honest take on Life360: Stay Connected & Safe. I've tested a bunch of family tracking apps and this one's pretty solid. The location sharing works well and it's got some nice extra features like the Tile trackers. But it's not without its issues - the upgrade to the premium version gets expensive and the free version has quite a few ads. Overall though, if you're looking for a simple way to keep tabs on your family, Life360 is worth considering.

Pros

  • Lets you see where your family and friends are on a map

  • Tile trackers help you find your keys, wallet, and other essentials
  • Free to use, with optional premium features

Cons

  • The premium version is pretty pricey
  • Lots of ads in the free version
  • Can be a bit overwhelming with all the features if you just want basic location sharing

Description

Been using Life360: Stay Connected & Safe for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you track the location of your family and friends. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you can do – you can see where your loved ones are on a map, get alerts when they arrive or leave places, and even share your own location. There’s also a Tile tracker feature that lets you find your keys, wallet, and other stuff. Took me a while to figure that part out but it’s actually pretty useful.

Look, if you’re into location sharing and family safety apps, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that’s what you’re looking for.

It would be 5 stars except I don't want to continue the platinum plan (it's pretty expensive and there are a lot of perks we don't need or use) and...

decent job keeping track of people but advertising first. of course they want you to sign up for a paid membership which offers dubious value. The app isn't overwhelmed but...
