So here's my take on LifeLock Identity by Norton. I've tested a bunch of identity protection apps and this one's pretty solid. The dark web monitoring and alerts are super useful, and having that restoration help is a nice bonus. The app works well and is easy to use. Only real downside is the alerts can be overkill sometimes. But if you want to keep a close eye on your personal info, this is a good option.

Pros

  • Monitors the dark web for your personal info
  • Sends alerts if your identity is used somewhere
  • gives you dedicated specialists to help restore your identity
  • Free plan has decent features, paid plans add more protections
  • Simple to set up and use

Cons

  • Alerts can get a little annoying at times
  • Restoration services are only available with paid plans
  • Might be overkill for some people who aren't super worried about identity theft

Description

Been using LifeLock Identity by Norton for a couple months now. It’s basically an identity theft protection app that helps keep your personal info safe. Pretty solid if you’re worried about stuff like that.

Here’s what you do: You can sign up for a LifeLock plan and it’ll monitor the dark web for your info. There’s also alerts if your Social Security number or other details are used somewhere. And if your identity does get stolen, they have specialists to help you get it fixed.

Look, if you’re concerned about identity theft, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the alerts can be a bit annoying sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want some extra protection.

The experience with this app is horrible. It can't be called user friendly by any stretch of the imagination. I hope the protection is better than their attempt to integrate...
