Description
I’ve been using Lifesum: AI Calorie Counter for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you track your meals and nutrition, with the twist of using AI to make it smarter and easier.
The way it works is you can log your food by snapping a photo, using your voice, or just typing it in. There’s also a barcode scanner which is pretty handy. And the AI is supposed to recognize the food and give you the calorie info, which is a cool idea.
Look, if you’re trying to be more mindful of your diet and make healthier choices, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the AI sometimes gets the calorie counts wrong, and the interface can be a little confusing at first. But overall, it does the job and makes meal tracking more manageable. Worth checking out if you’re into that kind of thing.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Lifesum: AI Calorie Counter. I've tried a bunch of nutrition tracking apps and this one's pretty solid. The AI meal recognition is a neat feature that can save you time, and the variety of logging options is convenient. I also like how it focuses on progress and celebrating small wins, not just perfection. On the downside, the AI isn't always accurate and the app can feel a bit cluttered at times. But overall, it's a pretty good option if you want to get a handle on your eating habits without too much hassle.

The app limits how much you can actually do with it. Anything you track that's not a barcode is immediately saved as a favorite with no way to unfavorite so...
updated review: this has only gotten worse, it's a total crapshoot of how much numbers will change each time you add food (even previous entries), which makes this completely unreliable...
