Reviews for LifeUp: Gamified To Do List

Really great app. Have to stop using because of it just erasing 15 min of planning repeatedly. Glitching in the task creation window, randomly forcing me into certain lists when Im looking at another, just generally has some weird stuff that makes it kinda unstable for me. I've probably wanted over an hour and half from time lost due to technical difficulties. Not worth it for me. Edit; literally I write this review and delete something off the list and it deleted a random item of another list.

I have only used this app for about a day and I love it!! I totally recommend it! It has everything I need and so much more! Thank you developers for creating such a great app! I can think of one minor suggestion for customization it even more, when we mark the items off in a list, have us choose whether to show the matked off (crossed off) items or not.

Quite a step up from Habitca. However, there are two main complaints that I have. Unable to sync across devices and no desktop equivalent to use on the browser. If there was, it'd be phenomenal. Right now, it has a lot of power that's held back by the device it's used on. But God, I'm praying it takes off and we get some sort of account syncing.

This is a really excellent app and one of the few I've been able to stick with for tracking tasks and achieving goals. I like how customizable the settings are and how much you can make your tasks and attributes specific to your needs. My only complaint is there doesn't seem to be an option anywhere in the app for if you go on vacation or are away from home and can't complete tasks normally. I don't want to get EXP when I'm not actually doing the tasks!

Finally a task/reminder app that has a fun user interface that doesn't have a subscription model. Just pay once. Definitely a lot of work up-front until you get used to how to create the schedule/tasks/rewards and put it together. After you get the hang of it you can really get down into some deep details about getting your life together. Trying to use it for 2024 and so far things are going really well. It's fun to come up with Shop "items" to reward myself with for completing tasks regularly.

I got really into this app a while back, even paid for the premium because it was super affordable, but after a while I stopped using it and opted for a simpler task tracking type app. I find it too complicated for my needs now. I still love the concept and design. But maybe you could add an option to simplify the interface. A version where you can make a list of things you need to do without worrying about details, a lazy version might be a better way to put it. There's too much going on for me

After trying each of these apps that I know of, this one far and away tops them all. The level of customization never seems to end, to the point where trying to list your options here would be a wasted effort. Doesn't chew through your battery, either, like some other ones can end up doing. Absolutely worth paying for, imo.

Amazing app, really helps me keep on track. I use the coin rewards in the app as a way to curb my impulse spending and it's doing wonders. Plus the features and level of customization are great, more than I could ask for. I only paid a few bucks for this thing and it's worth at least 5x more for what I've gotten out of it. Plus, no ads and no extra incentives to pay more money in the app (which honestly just makes me want to support them more)

Highly customizable. Great stability (doesn't crash). The pomodoro timer is a nice touch. The app takes a "your life is the rpg" approach rather than the "what you do in your life impacts some fictional character" approach. I personally prefer this strategy. Overall, for the price I would say it's great. Highly recommend if gamification kind of stuff easily motivates you.

Seems cool but it's way too complicated for me. I don't like having to set up stats and coins, I wish there were a simple default version for the low level nerds instead of everything being customizable for the ultra nerds. Very cool concept though, just not for me. Setting all that up is a level 99 task in and of itself! I need a LifeUp Pro for dummies version lol.

I'm loving it. My neurodivergent brain (ADD, anxiety, depression, disassociation) doesn't get the serotonin and/or dopamine that neurotypical brains might from a "job well done". To me it's just the never ending battle against entropy and I've been nerfed. Gamifying it like this gives me that extra bit of motivation to get things done. I've tried quite a few apps like this and rarely have paid for the privilege. Recommend a free version for folks less privileged than me.

The app is certainly nice, but I wish there was more I could do with the attributes that I'm growing. I almost feel like there's no point in tracking Str, End, Cha, etc if I can't do anything with them. The shop system is nice, though and the app is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. I love that it works offline, too since I have a bad internet connection.

This has been the best for making sure I get my work done in college. I have ADHD but the widget let's me see things at a glance and the points system is great for dopamine. Also, I can create my own stats, like relaxing. It's great for tracking mental health as well. It takes a little bit to set up, but once you do that, it pays for itself 30x over

I love the idea of this app. I have ADHD and I struggle to get myself to do anything. I space out until it's too late. I've been trying to remember to take meds, exercise, eat, but I haven't found one app that helps. Tasks that feel like a game is a genius idea. The intense customization stresses me out. I have to set everything up to my own parameters which makes it difficult for me. Sometimes having too many options is stressing. If there was a simplified version would be much help.

Best life gamification tool I've found, and I have searched and tried the handful of decent ones there are. I like that you can add your own skills and customize just about everything. My account is modeled after Sims including icons, sound effects and trophies. I only wish there were a more streamlined approach to accurately describe your ability in a wider range of skills, such as how in learning Chinese you have HSK 1, 2, etc. but that goes far beyond the scope of any app or site.

I really enjoy using the app! Being able to customize all of my rewards, achievements, attributes, etc makes me want to stick to my routines and complete my to-do list a lot more. However I have found a bug: I created an achievement where the goal was to gain a certain number of tomatoes from pomodoro sessions. After I collected the number, I remembered the achievement and went to check on it and it still said I was 0% of the was to getting it.

You get out what you put into this app. I spent some time learning how the rewards work, how item synthesis works, etc, and now I'm the most motivated I've ever been. For example: I can only buy Reeses candy if my charisma is high enough (lvl 4), which I get from exercising. I buy and eat a Reeses, which lowers my charisma again! More workouts ensue. Just one example! SO many cool ways to use this app. Put in the time figuring it out and setting it up, and it'll reward your efforts.

Phenomenal for habit tracking. If you are not tech-savvy, you may experience a learning curve. However, I use this app daily and have seen the positive and long-lasting effects of tracking my small habits (sometimes helped by the app's reward system, like coins, rewards, and loot boxes). Highly recommend as a companion to anyone wanting to pay closer attention to their habits and decisions.

I was hoping this would help me get more organized, which ADHD makes very difficult, but it was very overwhelming instead. There are tasks they automatically put in that I didn't want, which meant spending time trying to figure out how to get rid of them after seeing all sorts of warnings that I was screwing up by not completing tasks I didn't need to do. The gamification is also over-hyped. There is no real game, just ways you can reward yourself. I was hoping it would be a bit more of a game.

Honestly, I think the app is great. It especially helped me stay organized as a person with ADHD in college. There is one thing I really hope the bring to it is one of those octagon or pentagon type things to show your levels. It's kind of like the thing in the webtoon UnOrdinary. I think that would really complete the app. If they brought that, I would give a 6/5 star if I could
