Reviews for Liftoff - Ranked Gym Workouts

Disappointed. It feels like all the app features are hidden behind the pay wall now for an ABSURD price. Nothing that this app provides for the premium version is deserving of the price. I swear it used to be a reasonable price.... but look what happens when developers get greedy. Why do I have to pay for features which were advertised without a cost? Overall, the UI is quite nice but very simple. Just bring back gym bros pricing and people will be happy.

The app is easy to use, rankings make it more fun, and community is everywhere. The workout generation system is good, but could use work in on the spot creations. I also think they should implement a feature automatically notifying you when you have a workout that day (part of your routine). It's not too bad in terms of pricing, at around $20 a month, and you can get a free trial. Overall, it can still be improved upon and I hope to see that.

Great app to keep track of fitness routine, progress, and what I originally thought would be a standard workout app with a ranking gimmick would actually be an incredibly helpful tool to help me keep track of my routines and how I've progressed with my workouts. I do wish I could separately track my left/right hands and legs when doing single arm/leg workouts, but that's my only constructive feedback so far.

What I like about this app is that you can actually see the progress made with workout programs and even your own experimental training, actually seeing what's best for you. However I do wish that they'd include more features to the exercises such as an option for controlling the eccentric/concentric, as it provides a greater view of the progress.

I genuinely can't put my weight at where it is (125lbs), every time you go lower than 140, it sets itself back at 170. I would expect your weight to be an important part in calculating what you can do, and therefore, even with my weight set at the lowest the app can go, I don't feel comfortable with it giving me appropriate recommendations or having me at the proper rank.

For the most part it is great, I love seeing my ranks and how it pushes you to continue your streak. My only gripe is that it doesn't work offline, so unfortunately I have to connect to a network in order to keep the streak going and to put in my new workout set. Other then that I love this app, would be 5/5 if it worked offline so here's to hoping.

I really like this app. I love the rank aspect and the vast amount of exercise on the app. Possible in the future add superset capabilities. I also think the rank is too dependent on the weight rather than the amount of reps and sets of the exercise. Not sure but overall really enjoy this app. Also it's hard to tell if the distance is in km or miles.

Been using this as a workout journal for the past two weeks and Im enjoying it so far. Could use some improvements but its pretty great. Wish we had the option to send our custom Presets to our friends or save group presets etc. The "gamer" aspect is fun and helps motivate me to go to Gym. Maybe add more daily / weekly quests. *edit: more sound effects would be cool 8.5 / 10

The latest update (June 4, 2025 v2.4.16) changes open exercises. Can you change it to allow more than 1 exercise to be open at the same time while working out? I usually go between 2-3 exercises and it's now less convenient. A simple toggle to allow the option would be nice. Thanks. -update: 2911TRPCClientError: Network request failed Unable to Finish workout regardless of option selected.

First off, I would give 6 stars If I could, I love everything about this app. It even pick your best lifts like for squat I did 335x4 and 365x1 and 335x4 is harder to do and I didn't know that. Rank system awesome. There are EVERY VARIATION OF WORKOUTS to choose from. Awesome level system for progress. It's the BEST fitness app I've found yet. How lucky I was to find this app I couldn't tell you. 6/5 stars.

I would strongly recommend GymBros. I have been working out solo for about a year and had some struggles maintaining consistency and keeping myself on task and on the schedule. Now I have something to make sure I stay away from the bench press whenever leg day rolls around. If you are looking for accountability and a really fun way of tracking your progress then this is this is for you.

Incredible app with great interface, and outstanding motivation. Even outside of the social aspect, it serves as a very high quality workout logger where you have access to all that you need as a free user. Even then, the benefits of being a paid user seem very good as well. all around just a great app that I would recommend to anyone whether they are a seasoned lifter, or just getting into fitness.

I can definitely see the change of my muscle growth. It gives you all the different workout exercises and you can see your friends growth as well. I will give this a 5 stars any day. (only dislike is that it reminds you every day saying stuff like "the weights are missing you" or "the bench is rusting, let's get some workouts going") still great tho

Used the app for 30 minutes at the most, I made the account and looked at the free options. in reality, you can get a better app by asking an Ai to make one. This app does not allow me to change the number of days I can put to working out. Going all 6 days is crazy, but I do know the results offer the same result. In general, it's better to talk to gym heads. Also, I never used the calorie tracker, I bet you it's wrong mostly.

Great app. But there are some excersizes and things I don't see on the list. Plus, I don't like that when I create a routine, I can only have one of each excersize on the list. An example is that when I do my circuits, I typically plank at the end of each set of sets. The only option is to add sets. It's workable, just slightly annoying. That's why it got 4 out of 5.

This is everything I ever wanted in a weightlifting app, I am so happy that I found it! Generate workouts based on the equipment you have and what muscles you've recently worked, or create your own, tracks your PRs and encourages you to "level up", lots of stat tracking, competition, social features, streaks, heat maps to show what muscles you recently worked... I love this soooooooo much!

see the tracking on this app is amazing the only thing I don't like is the fact of sometimes after a workout I forget to end it then I open the app back up and it's still going and then I lose my streak due to me taking a rest day after the workout. It would be nice if there was a way to manually enter in when the date the workout occurred was so that I could keep my streak when mishaps like that happen.

Broke my phone, went a week before getting a new one, and did a workout before restoring my streak, so now I can't restore it, so I guess that's just a 200-day or so streak out the window because there's now no way to rstore it since I'm back to a 1-day streak. Other than that, the app's good for logging stuff, but I'm just really p'd off about this, so it gets a one-star until they hopefully help me out, but I don't see that happening considering they haven't replied to a review since 2024.

good for tracking workouts, game-ifies the experience if you like that kind of thing. doesn't let you view your progress long term without a subscription long term, and I can't get the app to show me how much that subscription costs without signing up for a trial. seems fun but there is some shadiness to it and probably wont use anymore once i find a suitable alternative.

Great app. I've used it consistently for the better part of a year. It has been easy to keep using the app to track gym sessions and plan upcoming ones compared to other apps. It falls down in the way that it tracks cardio activities... It's not tracked or ranked like the weight exercises. It doesn't add the muscles worked for cardio entries like it would for weights. It feels like cardio exercises are in the current app as a placeholder waiting for the functionality to actually be added.
