Great for group chats. I mostly use it to talk with, and keep track of everyone in a few games I play. Even during game play everyone in our "guild" can talk and coordinate the game plan. It is very easy to set up and monitor several "chat rooms". If used just to chat, it's easy and fun to use. At first it can appear to have been designed for younger Asian girls, but there are many Themes to choose from. It can also easily be customized to your own style.

I have had to redownload this app at least once a day for the past 3 week. Notifications just stop going through randomly. No badge numbers, nothing. Open the app, tons of messages. All the settings say the notifications should be active but nope. Only uninstalling and redownloading (huge pain and lengthy process every time) fixes it temporarily. Sometimes I have to do it twice in a day, like today. Kinda getting super annoyed at this point.

Line is great but there's some things that can be pretty frustrating!! Notifications randomly lag throughout the day, and then when you open the app all of them flood through at once. Voice call quality is terrible and lags sometimes. It gets exponentially worse the more ppl are in a call. Also, I wish the pictures and videos could automatically be saved locally. I loose videos and gifs sometimes because of that.

Everything was fantastic until I had to reset my password (because it wasn't in my notes). I have to use multiple emails, so when I went to type in my registered email, I typed in the wrong one (or at least I think I did, it just says that the email was sent anyways instead of saying it was the wrong email... I even typed in a random email and it still said it sent). Line has a "24" hour wait thing too which is absolute garbage. So while it is my fault, this process should not be this painful.

Good chat app, a must for staying in contact with friends in my game. Unfortunately, there's a problem with creating albums in chat rooms. When I attempt to switch to albums of specific screenshots on my phone, images from my general screenshots are what I'm shown. A similar thing happens when I try to switch to photos from my fishing trip, and instead I am shown shots from my camera roll. This is very frustrating, because I created the albums on my phone to make it easier to find the pics that I want for the chat room album.

I use line daily for a game I play. Recently, it's been having issues uploading images. I thought maybe there was an update. And there was!! However, it did not fix this uploading images bug. I have to continually resend image. Sometimes it will eventually upload. Sometimes after 100 tries, I get frustrated and just give up. Please fix this, and I will give you 5 stars.

Can't see messages. I have the One Plush 8T and the app seems to be messing up. I will get notifications that I received a message. I go to check and there is nothing there. A while later (minutes to even hours) the messages show up. I have good connection too. Uploads are hit or miss as well. Most of the time it struggles to upload a small file. This app needs a fix FAST!!

The customer service is abysmal and extremely condescending. They absolutely do not help you, take a long time to reply and lock you out with no rhyme or reasons. I have used this app for more than 15 years, transferring it in different phones in different countries. I got logged out by mistake and the customer service is so unhelpful. I have spend money and have a lot of friends from Japan on the app and I have lost everything so quickly. I would absolutely not recommend using this app.

I'm so sick of moving my conversations manually when I get a new phone. And if you lose your phone, good luck, your conversations are gone! There should be some default instant back up that you have to opt out of. It's a cool app in other ways but when his happens it's so annoying I can't even remember the good things. To LINE: fix this or you risk losing customers. You have market power now but don't depend on that when you have such an annoying feature compared to other apps!

It constantly nags to register a phone number even if a number is already registered. For groups, it's lacking in administrator controls and groups are limited to 499 members. To chat with people, you must "friend" them. But there does not seem to be any obvious way to "un-friend" to declutter your contacts list. There's also lag of several seconds when backing out of a chatroom to return to your messages list.
