Switching from Flo to this. I have not used it for very long, but just due to the vast amount of symptom and activity logging. I would recommend this over any period app I have used (this includes Flo and Clue). I like how they also have a partner sharing option as well. For a free app, this is great! Also, dark mode? Flo and clue don't got that. Will update as soon as I can subscribe to yearly. I'm stuck with Flo until February and it would be a waste of money if I don't use it for the year.
Reviews for Lively: Cycle Syncing, Period
Have been using the premium version of this app for several months now. I love the chart of hormones that says where you're at with each day, super useful. My biggest gripe is the sheer amount of information in the tips section. It's almost information overload..like if everything is a tip than nothing is a tip sort of thing. With that said, I have high hopes and know that they're probably developing more. I've waited a long time for an app like this as someone who is passionate about their cycle
Frustrated that I'm stuck in a 7 day trial with limited access to app features but if I buy the app now it will cost more than waiting for the end of the trial. This also means that I will never know, before purchase, if this app in it's entirety is comple useful for me. Additionally, it's been 15 mins and I have already seen a total of 3 different prices for the app which will always leave me wondering if I found the lowest possible option should I decide to purchase.
This is a really great app, but I wish you could extend that cycle length more. I'm on birth control, and I only have a period every 90 days/3 months. The cycle length in the app only allows for a fifty day cycle. Everything other than that is amazing!!! I love that way it shows you what types of food are better for each phase of your cycle, along with the workouts and activities to do to keep you moving.
I've had the Lively app for about a week and loved it initially. The first week was great, but almost as soon as my free trial ended, everytime I open the app, it's just a white screen and I have to close it out. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and it's the same thing. I just got a notification reminding me to log when my period starts, but it's kinda hard to when I can't even get into the app! The app is great when it actually opens, but it hasn't in about 36 hours.
This app is great and all, but for some reason, I run into the issue of having to enter all my info back in after a while. I'm not sure if this is an issue on my end, but it makes it difficult to track my cycle when suddenly I open the app and poof, I have to restart all over again. EDIT; Changed to 5 stars, great customer services and quick problem solving responses! I highly recommend this app for your needs as the interface is easy to navigate.
Purchased the premium version thinking I'd be able to see recommendations for the following week/cycle phase to use for meal planning and grocery shopping, but you can't. I can only see as far as "tomorrow". I've already paid for it so I'll keep using it for what it is, but unless the developers make that change, I'll be canceling it before it renews. Bummer..
Seems lovely, but needs to reconsider subscription process. You can't try the free trial without it automatically charging you for a yearly membership in 7 days. 7 days is obviously not enough time to test it when your cycle is monthly! I also looked in the description beforehand to find what features were paid, and it mentioned nothing. So I assumed that there was a free version with less features, and a paid version with more, like most period apps. I really wanted to use this.
Beautiful app, but not sure I can justify a subscription in the current state. There's no algorithm to predicting your next period. It goes off the days you, as the user enter... Which is not always the same every month. There's free apps that offer this as a native feature. Yes, the do/eat tips are nice, but "personalized" seems like a small reach as I'm sure the app is not offering particular tips based off me, Candace, in particular but more off a general recommendation. On the fence...
This app is hard to read. I realize their focus was on aesthetics, which is important to me, but the color choice makes the contrast non-existent, and the fonts are tiny. I'm trying to give it a chance, but I find myself not opening it because I'm not going to be able to see most of what's on the screen without straining. When I'm on or anticipating my period I don't need any other hard things in my life.
