No idea how this app has so many good reviews. Its entirely a scam and you have to pay if you want to talk to someone for more than 5min after you first match. I signed up and within 5 min and no profile pics or description I had 10 likes, 3 messages waiting for me to pay to see them, and in 5 more min I got a match. Who then immediately responded at 3am... and after 5min I needed to pay to even consider talking to them more?

Hickey is my favorite app when it comes to looking for casual dating in my area. The interface is simple and easy to use. I didn't encounter any glitches when using the app. In terms of meeting local singles, the app makes this easy to accomplish. There were a large number of individuals looking for a local hookup, which made meeting someone pretty easy. I was able to find a local hookup within the first couple of weeks of using the app. I would highly recommend Hickey.

Wasn't going to pay but then stupidly did because I was talking to someone and the chat expired... after paying she ghosted anyway. Talked to 2 others and even made plans to meet up. Day before, conversation starts to fade, day of the conversations are miraculously no longer available. Add the fact that even though I set my location on the app half the time when I looked at my profile it said I was no where near my actual location. I could go on but I'm out of room.

Interface isn't too bad but having a complete and total inability to even finish my profile and set preferences without paying as ridiculous. Also, within 2 to 3 minutes I can already tell this app is rife with catfish. I wasn't even done filling out my profile and I had 17 notifications. Little hard to linger on a profile with zero information and nothing more than three pictures. I wasn't even done filling out the about me portion. Steer clear. At least until it matures a bit.

While i enjoyed the comversations and the photos exchanged with matches, the platform requires that you buy views to see exchanged photos. Very easy to break the bank if you arent paying attention. This capability is a separate purchase from the membership upgrade plans. Not worth the money. You'll probably have more meaningful connections on Tinder.

Awful. This app was developed to seduce lonely people into spending money. The profiles will ask you to open photos or reels that require tokens that you purchase. THEY WILL HOUND YOU. You ignore their photos, and they ask if you didn't like it, and same with the reels. You can't screenshot in it, so photo searching any profiles is impossible unless you have a way around it. Just take this as a warning and don't use this app. it's a money pit, especially if you are a people pleaser.

I have not talked to a single real person on this app. Every single match or profile that talkes to me is AI. They all have very easy tells. I payed for the premium package and you get restrictions on swipes, you are limited each week to see your matches, and you are very limited on uncovering other profiles pictures or videos. They price everything even for the premium members. You are better off not paying for a membership its the same. Its a rip off and i want my money back.

Like a lot of other low star reviews, it's very stingy with swipes, forces you to see country-wide accounts, and pay walls everything. And it seems like there are a LOT of bots, I was having girls "view my account for a long time" as soon as I created an account. I've used more realistic apps, and girls are nowhere near that desperate in real life.

Nearly every account is a bot. The app has a refreshing view and some of it is nice compared to other dating apps, but every account is a bot intended to get you to spend more money in the app. Other downside is that some if not most of the icons aren't large enough to be used with ease so you press the same icon multiple times in order to accomplish the task. Didn't mention the BOT accounts?

Complete bs trust me it's not worth it. The sheer audacity to ask for a subscription service but only allow increased like volumes as a result. Can see who likes you, but only 3 a week. Chats expire minutes after matching. Got 100 plus matches and a total of 5 text exchanges between them. Bots, a lot of them. The community sucks, and not in a good way

Seemed cool for 30 minutes. But, every single swipe, left or right, counts against your daily limit. I had a lot of likes to begin with and chatted to several, but conversations are limited and expire. Without warning! Very dumb. They keep chatting though, so it appears to be one sided. I don't even understand that. This is just another cash grab app. Don't bother unless you want to pay up.

The epitomy of why dating apps are bad. To do anything on the app you have to pay thirty bucks. You get a unknown set of swipes (whether they are right or left does not matter) and that's it, you don't get a refresh on them. You can't even limit to your own area, you are stuck with the entire USA and aren't able to change any setting with the exception of age.Almost every person on there feels like a bot who wants you to buy their subscription. It is unrelentingly greedy.

This review is after a while of using the app. Since I am seeing a lot of ads for this app, maybe I can help others out. Overall, this app isn't super great and has a number of problems, including -butchering my devices performance while in use -limited number of total swipes, meaning if you can't find anyone who is what you are looking for in that amount of swipes you are out of luck unless you pay money. - Numerous possible bots to drive engagement with the app. -Predatory payment options.

SCAM! As soon as you join, you are messaged by several bots, and their goal is to just keep you talking, because chats in this app expire very quickly. They want you to pay them for fear of losing the person you're talking to, and they deceptively label the price as $3.99 per week, but bill quarterly, so they really want something like 40 bucks. Do not download, do not install, do not interact, and certainly do not pay.

It's horrible. Many, many, many fake profiles. It shows profiles as nearby and in your city at first, but once you like and message them, all of a sudden, they're from a totally different part of the country. You also have to buy a membership to view likes, and you only get 6 a week to view. And chats disappear after a short time. I do not recommend this app. Waste of time and money.

Look, I liked the UI a decent amount, but I cannot be convinced that this is not a scam. I had probably thirty matches on here, and every single one felt like an employee trying to keep me on the app. No meeting, no info exchange, only great interest for like one day. The app will say there's nobody left in your area, because they're in your "liked" pool! You can't naturally match, from what I can tell. And finally, they seem to chat after a chat expires, asking you to respond (by paying).

The app might not have bots, but the majority of the accounts that you engage with are administrative and know how many views you've bought. I even had 2 that were rude to me, saying "Oh, you bought to view -Insert number- for that girl, but won't for me" Before I even viewed any photos. They have access to your purchases and will try to bully and manipulate you into buying. They also say the developer says they have to get unlocked views or they can't meet.

The app has a great user interface, very easy to navigate from one section to another, setting up a profile was a breeze, it took me less than a minute to set it up. Privacy is very big on the app, which is good considering the times we live in. If you really want the full package, like other dating apps, you'll have to pay for it. My only complaint about the app, would be that it's not necessarily aimed at building a relationship towards marriage, but more towards the current hookup culture.

This is by far the worst dating app. It put my location in Maine and I'm in south carolina. No way to change this and it doesn't allow you to use the travel function without the premium subscription. I had decided to try the pro subscription for 19.99 but upgraded to the premium to use the travel option. Even that didn't work right. instead of upgrading me to the 39.99 subscription and canceling the other or even just charging me the difference, they charged me full price for both.

It gives you less than 2 days to reply to those that pay to initiate chat before matching and then closes the chat! so I feel bad for those that are paying for this service because they're not getting their money's worth. Also, filters are much more limited in the free version than other dating apps on free version, so you'll be wasting lots of time. I only use this app when I'm super bored lol
